I wish I was born a few decades later as I had a spinal fusion aged 11 in the 70’s and I’ve got no movement whatsoever and ridged. I also went onto have a badly tethered spinal cord and they didn’t diagnose me with this and Spina Bifida until I was in my 30’s. This is fantastic to hear tho for this generation 🙏🏼
Hi there friends! I got VBT as a surgery about 5-ish years ago. It was an experimental surgery at the time; I was in the first 500 in the world to receive it. This video fails to mention that you need the ability to grow taller for it to work. I went from about a 46 degree to 16 degree in around a year. I'm now happily living with a lot less back pain. If there is any pain it's from holding my spine in a position for too long. Luckily I've gained the ability to crack my own back.
Well I'm 60 and have a 52 degree curve. I will have surgery this year in Shreveport, LA. I know I'm not having the rods but not sure what I'm getting. Calling now to ask. They all look awful but my pain is intense if I do anything like standing or walking without support.
@@coconoisette_ I don't know if you've had surgery or not by now but VBT is the way to go!! I had it done 2 years ago and am doing great! It feels like I never had scoliosis at all
So I need surgery, and if I have a 55 degree curve which one would you recommend if I’m 12 years old? I’m very nervous about this and I found out a few weeks ago.
Hi! I’m 12 two and have a 60 degree curve and I just found out as well and I’ve been looking at the results for both but I think I’m going to do VBT, I’ve done some research but it is fairly new but all the people I’ve seen who have done it and I’ve reas about seem to have done very well, I’m not going to go into detail but I was and still am really nervous but I feel better knowing I know what there going to do and how it works, so I am going to do the VBT but you do have to fit certain requirements but I think you do since your younger and have a major curve but I’d say just look into them both more and decided from there, good luck, I’m sure everything will go great! But I totally understand why your nervous it’s pretty scary :)
