    This is hands down one of the best Ride tech installs on a Tri 5 Ive found, Im watching it for the 2nd time)), you guys are fun to watch and Im shocked why you havnt got more subscribers, so more power to you and hope you get tons more Subs! Im considering the same Ride Tech kit to install on my 57 Hardtop which Im currently starting on my channel, and from what your saying it seems well worth it. Great video, keep them coming guys !

    Guys - I just navigated to your site.....instant subscription - thanks for the video - amazing installation on the Ride Tech. I do have a hopefully quick question - How difficult is it to change a rear tire that wide on that 55 ? Does the rear drop down enough - or - do you have to remove the coil-overs? Thanks for sharing - Joe - Bucks County Pennsylvania

    • @MaffettMotorwerks
      @MaffettMotorwerks  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@josephrago6355 that is one burden. The rear coil over dies need to be unbolted to let the rear drop enough to remove the tire in the back. We went pretty low and pretty wide with the tires on this. That is a trade off for the performance.

It was back when you could take a boat out in the waters there and dip a bushel of crabs. Gone is that ability. I hope not but the prices must be reflecting supply.

    Hey guys I have a 55 and I'm getting ready to put a ridetech system on it. Do you think shockwaves would be a better buy for quick adjustments on the go rather than the coilover?

    • @MaffettMotorwerks
      @MaffettMotorwerks  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shockwaves are definitely an easier and quicker adjustment on the fly. If you don’t have the ability or the care to get under the car with an Allen wrench and a spanner wrench every time you wanna adjust the ride height, then shockwaves may be better. But the coil over has a dial, (+-) on each coilover to adjust the stiffness of each shock pretty easily with no tools. But if you need to do ride height adjustments it requires tools. These adjustments are really big changes, and may be just enough for what you are looking for.

    What steering tie rods and sleeves did you put on? I see they were different after the suspension install.

    Beautiful! Sweet kit and the motor sounds nasty. Bags vs coil overs?

    • @MaffettMotorwerks
      @MaffettMotorwerks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the comment! WE have installed both bags and coilover from ridetech. The Coilovers are defenitley a better overall ride qulaity. But the benefit of the bags is that you can adjust the comfort and the responsivness with a touch of a button. With the coilovers you have to put the car on a lift and change the position of things.

    Do you like this set up better than the street grip package? Im not hitting the race track but want a smooth ride for sure. What kind of tires are you rolling on? I have a 57chevy bel air 2dr hardtop sitting on 20x8.5 rear and 18x8 front

    • @MaffettMotorwerks
      @MaffettMotorwerks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This kit is far superior to the street grip, and the ability to customize the ride quality and ride height really is the benefit here. The street grip is really a great kit for the money but is really static and you have one drivability setting, which is way better than factory but not customizable or tunable.
