I built a set of 4 of these to set a cab on to sand blast, they do come in handy for lots of stuff
In Australia just the timber for one would cost more than $50 way cheaper to buy steel stand
More than 5 Uga Dugas get me in trouble every time 3 seems to be the magic number
Exactly
I love them so that's how you cook your pizza...😂😂
Welcome to the let’s make a non backed chair for $50
What color is that on the Camaro?
Copper head orange metallic. Stacy David’s color created by Kevin Tetz
Oh fuck off mate. Produce better content and you’ll get more views. Don’t make us have to dig through multiple videos. Aside from that they’re cool blocks
Did they just add another frame member and weld it to the other for strength
They're jack stands for holding car up
They're for tuning the suspension on cars. Since buddy here wanted to drive his engagement by leaving that lil bit out.
@@casperghost9808 sadly when I uploaded it the video clipped the end off. I reposted this video here DIY TOOL: The Ultimate Shop Tool You Need th-cam.com/users/shortsZwvEQprXOtw?feature=share
Thanks dude, people are unaware
As a 20 year modern technician experience, im scratching my head and thinking what would be application for this?
th-cam.com/users/shortsZwvEQprXOtw?feature=share
@@genestrelkov9886 most shops doing suspension setups use these to set the ride height and dial in suspension components
Oh ok, thank you for clarification, we use alignment rack for thinks like that!
Yea, a lot of these classic cars are all custom fabricated components and these boxes make it very easy for someone to set ride height, pinion angle, etc without breaking the bank. A lot of custom builders use these to house their project for the life of the project to get it on a better working height and being able to get under it easily for wiring, exhaust etc without needing to tie up a lift on a long term project. Alignment racks are great for alignments but they only make money when your turning and burning these boxes pay for themselves every minute.
I saw this and laughed because when I was a kid I saw these all the time. My uncles had a prefab home business and these were the supports for some of the "homes". When you can't have a permanent foundation these can hold a lot of weight.
They are impressive little structures

For what ?
th-cam.com/users/shortsZwvEQprXOtw?feature=share
But why does it matter tho
What is it? lol
Risers for setting a car on and turning suspension and ride height lol
@MaffettMotorwerks that doesn't sound safe at all lol I sure hope those random screws you found are rated for the weight of the car
@fishingwithleaches been using these style platforms for 15 years. They work great and every pro touring shop and performance shop I know of uses these for mock up. You should build a set and try them out.

Let me get those oem tail lights!! I cracked mine😂😂
A classic VDub is next on my list.

Thats right! good eye
I love the vw single cab scheming. 40’s and a 12 valve is a recipe for success every time.
That is a fact! I may have to do a rendering of it just for fun
I'm excited to see this come together... and I'm genuinely curious what will be salvageable from the original truck... other than the VIN, lol.
THANKS! we are to, so far it doesn't seem like much of the original is going to be able to be salvaged.
Guys - I just navigated to your site.....instant subscription - thanks for the video - amazing installation on the Ride Tech. I do have a hopefully quick question - How difficult is it to change a rear tire that wide on that 55 ? Does the rear drop down enough - or - do you have to remove the coil-overs? Thanks for sharing - Joe - Bucks County Pennsylvania
@@josephrago6355 that is one burden. The rear coil over dies need to be unbolted to let the rear drop enough to remove the tire in the back. We went pretty low and pretty wide with the tires on this. That is a trade off for the performance.
Looking forward to the build!

Plasti dip is never a good job.
True
What is in that Orange can? Plasti dip is pretty much impervious to everything....
This stuff is an air freshener that is made of natural oils and citrus. Dissolves this plastidip instantly.
Put a mask on
No need this stuff is natural citrus oil
That’ll be a fun project. I was saying to my friends last night that a MiddletownMookie Pole Barn vehicle would be a three on the tree truck. Amongst many Pontiacs.
that sounds like a badass truck

Bauer at harbor freight sells the same tool cheaper with 3 drums in the box.
@@fluorescentmug8333 yes harbor freight ripped off the design from Eastwood. It is definitely not the same quality but near identical design. Having used both I can attest that the Eastwood is the better of the two, which makes sense since they are the ones who invented it.
My flushed mounted tail lights lasted 18 months then the passenger side went out…. Not sure if I want to spend another $350+ on a new set….
My driver side went out at about the same time length as well. I called Oracle and they sent me out a brand new set. They are aware of the issue and said that the lights manufactured after April 2024 have addressed the issue just letting you know
@@vanquish_engineering they sent me a replacement passenger side……

In the 60s the 327 was it
It's funny how many classic Ford cars have Chevrolet motors in them.
true, and you still have "purists" getting mad at motor swaps lol
Small-block Chevys were plentiful and affordable, in addition to being amazing performers. In `66, 327s were available in 275 HP, 300 HP, 340 HP, 350 HP (L79), and 365 HP (solid lifter Duntov cam, and 4 barrel carb) TOTL Fuel Injected motors were rated at 375 HP.
