Wow. You can really tell the difference in his personality in interviews years later. This is Junior in his prime - not only in football, but life. He was so happy and outgoing. While football gave him validation for life’s long work and he used that to help so many people - in the end, it turned him into a person that left him lacking any emotion. Remember this Seau, but never forget what happened to him, either.
Junior Seau is a former NFL Linebacker who played for 20 1990-2010 he has been gone since 2012 and he will be greatly missed by anyone who played against him

I'm from san diego, my first jersey as a child was a seau jersey, I remember my junior year of high school my mom texting me in chemistry class "im sorry Bobby, jr seau took his life today" and it made me cry, and im not an emotional kind of person. RIP
Junior Seau was a wild bull on the field but a beautiful spirit in real life. Saw him play live many times.Teddy Bruschi loved him as did all his teammates. RIP Mr Seau!!

He donated his brain to research. He knew something was wrong. I met him after a game and saw him at his restaurant several times . He was an awesome family man before the brain injury took over.
Junior Seau mentioned Griggs, his teammate David Griggs. He's dead too. Killed in a car crash Florida in June 1995, not long after Seau's interview here. In fact, 8 members of the San Diego Chargers who played in 1995 Superbowl have all died before the age of 45. Sad.
The CTE hadn't got him yet here but in a couple years he would start having symptoms of it. Here he was 4 years in his career and at the top of the world. I dont know if this was before the chargers went to the superbowl or after but that would be the last time chargers gave him any hope of being a champion until 07 patriots
@@BeefPapa that was terrible plus that team has suffered losses even worse than losing the Super Bowl so many players have died of unusual circumstances Junior dying was probably the worst part of it.
If you'd only seeked help and gotten treatment plus been left in a structured environment he might not have committed suicide. I know the CTE played a role but at the end of the day every player that plays in the NFL and then retires from the NFL got it. CTE is real
@@brentholland7899 IT SURE IS!!!!!!!! WISH the Chris Benoit bashers could realize that!!!!!!!
@@brentholland7899 it’s one thing to dismiss depression, but it’s a whole another level to dismiss CTE
He was the most exhuberant player I have ever seen and one of the nicest people you will meet, providing you aren't carrying a football.
I like how Seau controlled the conversation/interaction...😂
Miss this Uso, RIP Brother Junior Seau!!
RIP Junior Seau (January 19, 1969 - May 2, 2012), aged 43
You will always be remembered as a legend.
Gone too soon RIP
55 likes going to leave it that way
Everyone in Oceanside looked up to junior. RIP
Being a Chiefs fan I hated facing him twice a year, he was a beast.
He looked like a great guy.
He will always be remembered in Oside!!! Legendary
We miss you Buddy. We love you.
Brandon Keyes this video hurt to watch. So tragic.
My first NFL game was his last charger game. Sadly he didnt dress than became a dolphin. Still repd the 55 crop top. Tjo
He picked 55 because his dad turned 55 when it started.
And he goes by Junior because his real name is Tiaina Seau.
Oceanside’s finest💙💛🌴
So tragic, every once in a while I think about Seau and I just can’t believe how it ended
Handsome and cool guy. Seems like he had a cool personality. So sad how it ended. R.I.P Seau 🙏
he was a different man in the end... This is the Junior all of Oceanside and San Diego knew.
