I wish Tony had lived to see the likes of Ohtani. He’d probably be his biggest fan.
Love these old clips. Any full broadcast games available from San Diego in the 70s? I'd love to watch full game from '76-'84
Thanks, it's all I have but glad I kept this one as well, however, search my channel for a few other clip from that era.
Love the clips. Are any '83 full broadcast games available? I'd love to watch a full game
hey thanks, just what I have but glad I kept these gems.
At the end of this fiasco, 175 fans were thrown out of the Meadowlands, and another 14 fans were arrested for their involvement in the snowball game.
Do you have the rest of this series of videos?
I'm so glad the Chargers never joined the 0-16 Club.
Man i miss old skool football comentary
Where's Ichiro when you need him? =) Wonder if Arraez has a chance to be in their company...
I worked for the padres from 1983-2003 and watching his career was one of the best parts. He was truly a class act
Tony Gwynn was "you're not striking me out (looking) again" 😅 Greatness 👌
Miss this Uso, RIP Brother Junior Seau!!
Junior Seau mentioned Griggs, his teammate David Griggs. He's dead too. Killed in a car crash Florida in June 1995, not long after Seau's interview here. In fact, 8 members of the San Diego Chargers who played in 1995 Superbowl have all died before the age of 45. Sad.
“Do we have time for the hockey highlights? It’ll take like 10 seconds…it’s the Boston-Quebec game from last night…thats…that’s all we need.”
Which Oceanside team made it, I’m a O Side local and 2 different little leagues claim this is them?
Oceanside American
As a Yankee fan I saw Tony Gwynn for the first time in the 1998 World Series. Like most American League fans I was amazed at his hitting.
What was Gwynn's OBP against Maddox?
I forgot Leaf actually completed some passes in the NFL. He spent more time knocking up strippers than he did actually practicing.
Oh that Durham error😢
I remember having Chris Mims' football card when I was a kid. It's sad about what happened to him. He had a stroke. He weighed 456 pounds when he died from an enlarged heart. NFL agent Josh Luchs alleged that he paid Mims 'about $500 a month' during his last year at the University of Tennessee.
I wish the chargers were still in San Diego I miss that chargers era from the 90s
Please put more SF Giants games, even if it is a clips,
Giants couldn’t have made a more beautiful black jersey. Damn shame the black jersey crap they have today
The 2006 - 2009 Chargers gotta be the greatest collection of players on one single NFL franchise all time.
What was Jim Frey waiting for - he should have pulled Sutcliffe before giving up 5 runs!!!!!
Tony had one strikeout every 23.6 plate appearances, second only to Bobby Richardson's 23.8. Some notable comparisons: Yogi Berra 20.2 Musial 18.3 Boggs 14.4 Rose 13.9 T Williams 13.8 Brett 12.8 Ichiro 9.9 Pujols 9.3
So crappy
I was there bought tickets from some dude on the side of the road 2 for 100 bucks
Lol 😂 Dan McGwire and Todd Marinovich drafted ahead of Brett Favre.
Crazy fact - By modern standards, Williams batting average in 1941 would have been 0.413. Up until 1953, sacrifice fly counted against batters. Williams had eight sac flies in 1941.
right before 9/11 , we had no clue what was around the corner
gotta love uncle Ted
Thanks for posting
Webster slaughter !!
I don’t remember the Padres being navy blue in 1990 , If I remember correctly they changed colors in the mid 90s after John Moore took over
Wonderful to watch
Gwynn could have been President.
Guys are so rifivulously smart at their respective positions
0 strike outs against maddux is so mind blowing!
I remember that game! It was a heck of a battle. That was the first time I saw Kawhi Leonard. My Vols were lucky to pull that one out.
This is utter brilliance and nothing less
I could watch Vincent Jackson endlessly but, at the same time, I know all those Sundays he gave us cost him his life. I hope you are resting in peace, #83
Love the respect these two guys show for each other
I miss the old days. Baseball just doesn't seem the same anymore. I don't know if it's because I have changed or the game has changed.
Michigan was a monster in the 1989 final four tournament.I was proud of them. They were very elite as a team
I hated this game.
What a game...

The greatest ever, don criqui
Hi. This is a long shot. But in the SDSU vs Hawaii game on Nov 15 1992, a punter named Scott Oatsvall on SDSU had a heart attack. Do you have that footage? Thanks.
When ever the Padres come to Atlanta and Maddox is on the mound, I always considered a treat to see who would win, Gwynn or Maddox. It's almost like a chess match between the two. Both are in the HOF and nothing should never be taken away from them. Thanks for the memories!
