I think Gipsy wasn’t the only jaeger in the mark 3 restoration program. I think Stacker wanted to rebuild most of the destroyed jaegers but because he didn’t have much time and the world governments were breathing down his neck, the project was never fully realised

Tacit Ronin and Coyote Tango are my favorite Jaegers. Kinda makes me want a reboot of the franchise in anime form (kinda like Pacific Rime: The Black) but to focus more on the MK-1’s

Stacker did more than that. He stopped onibaba from getting to Mount Fuji, which was all of the kaiju goal, and blowing up the earth. Had the kaiju succeeded, according to dr gaislers research, (since kaiju blood reacts highly violently to rare earth elements, WHICH IS FUJI) if a kaiju jumped in, there would have been a ring of fire around the pacific rim, which would have put out billions of toxic gas into the atmosphere and finish there forming the earth for the precoursers.

yeah, but that was just half assed attempt at an explanation in the sequel. Doubt they had any plans of the kaiju jumping into mount fuji in the original film. as it makes no sense

Do you think that the reason staker was able to pilot it that long while his copilot was passed out was because they were still in the drift? Stacker still had (limited) access to his copilot's brain power which allowed him to survive longer than one should be able to. I'd say this is different from Raleigh because even though Raleigh was able to kill the kaiju and walk to shore, he wasn't necessarily in combat the entire time

No. It was not taken out in battle. That is false info put out by fans shortly after the movie was released. The actual facts state she was decommissioned after her 2nd or 3rd drop after repeated failed attempts to get her radiation leakages sealed. He reactor was pulled out and destroyed, but this resulted in overcoats and the destruction of the jeager itself.

The info he got about CT is unfortunately mostly false. Especially the part about how it met its end. It was not taken out in battle but was decommissioned after repeated attempts to seal its reactor failed. They had to pull out and destroy its reactor which destroyed the jeager in the process.

It's the from the Official Pacific Rim artbook. It lists CT as "retired due to radiation leaks." The artbook Biographicals have been deemed canon by Del Toro himself. There is some inconsistencies because from the Novel that states she was K.I.A. in Hawaii, but the novel has had several of its plots deemed non-canon or outright wrong. It even states that CT was deployed with Tactic Ronin a mere 4 weeks after it was taken out of service for it 5 year refit to try and shield it's reactor. This has been deemed false by the canon material such as a artbook biographicals.
