Jaeger weights were lowered to be more plausible. Although not every Jaeger got its weight officially reduced.

@@PlazmaZ5 they aren't believable, Gipsy weighs 1,980 at 260ft tall, its about same as a diesel-electric Sub is long and heavy, and Gipsy is denser and armour plated,

What was the jaeger being build behind Horizon Brave in the intro construction scene? Looked very similar in design but nothing is mentioned about it.

The weight of the Jaegars seems to be all over the place. Cherno Alpha is the heaviest, it’s stated a few times. So I reckon this around 2340 tons but gd I wish we saw this one in action

@@Speaker_boom no, it has been confirmed multiple times that cherno is the heaviest, and it is by far the most logical one too, she's the joint largest of jaegers (Brawler Yukon might be bgger it's size changes from 76-91m) along with coyote tango and she's the most heavily armoured.

No it wasn't Typhoon. Typhoon was mark 4 jaeger. Horizon brave was a mark 1. They were made in completely different years

Also that was probably a prototype horizon brave or a back up version just in case the first jaeger was KIA ( killed In Action

If pacific rim 3 is ever gonna happen they should base that movie on the beginning of the war like how they berly found out about jeager tech and how they made peogress with the mechs.

I Really like the Mark 1 jeagers. They have such unique designs. Not like the later models
As a half Chinese. Living in the Philippines i have to admit i love this jeager along with crimson typhoon because it's made in China however i don't think 🤣China would be creative enough to make such machine most of the equipment they have in there military are shameless copycat so in real life I can only imagine China would copy or steal jeager blue prints and make a ugly copyright jeager

@@rickyboy6390Actually if you pay attention, you Will see that the chinese bases Horizon Brave, on the design of Cherno Alpha, both jeagers look very similar, except for the head and some details and they both aré made to accomplish the same role beingn tanks, Cherno Made to tank AND fight kaijus, with the russian Navy supporting him, and Horizon Made to tank with another Jaeger supporting him, the plan was to have him fighting along Crimson Typhoon

I understand that there are different models in order to make them more unique in the film's but wouldn't it be better if instead of making many different models of jaegers, they could make a few that fit into different classes so that they wouldn't have to be using different parts and researching all this and trying to make different models work. if they only have a like 3 models, they could mass produce them on an assembly line almost
Jonathan Aguirre the Kaiju would have adaptet to the standard design and taken them out faster since their capabilities and limits would be known.
Better to have different designs so that when they do multi jeager drops, they can have different roles. Remember that they used to drop 3 jeagers for a single kaiju so they could team up and minimize loses. Hell Mutavore, the kaiju that striker destroys killed 2 jeagers that were sent out to meet it outside the walls. If only Striker had been sent out as well then we could have had a Hong Kong fight of 6v2 fight or at least a 4v2 since striker could have sat back and Gipsy wouldn’t have been sent out as a last option.
they did mass produce the horizons brave model you can see it int he movie
glados098 they made like 2 horizon brave models, but you can see the other Mark 1 jeagers like Coyote Tango, Tacit Ronan, Romeo Blue, and Chero Alpha, so the Mark 1s had a lot of variation. So I wouldn’t call it mass production of horizon brave models when so many other mark 1 models were made.

Taven Hathaway that's Mass Production one of the most unknown Jaegers and was destroyed in a unknown part of the war.... though same stats as Horizon Brave and is a mark 1

it’s cannon like striker bearsker they are reusing jeagers but not the same exact marks and names

That's what the art books says it weighs, I guess those cryo cannons are heavier than they look.
Cherno alpha was the heaviest jeager still in service. They never said it was the heaviest jeager ever, just that out of Gipsy, Striker, Typhoon, and Cherno, it was the heaviest jeager.

I'm here after watching the new anime spinoff. Trying to figure out what the hell was going on with the AI in their Jaeger when she accessed a memory fragment that had something to do with a Jaeger that looked exactly like this one and had Horizon in the name. Thing is, it couldn't possibly have been the same one. Considering this one met it's demise in Peru YEARS earlier and they were in a Jaeger/Kaiju graveyard in the Outback of Australia.

@@asapjxan6245 So that Jaeger was supposed to be, Horizon Bravo? A remake of an older Jaeger like Gypsy Avenger and Striker Berserker.
I think Striker Bearserker would be a much more interesting name btw.

@@premiumheadpats4150 so my best assumption would be that horizon bravo fought with striker berserker and during the fight horizon bravo is destroyed because of a striker mistake therefore leaving hansen shocked and since the kid ghost drifted with hansen and has his memories maybe it messed with atlas destroyers AI

My question is where is other horizon clones? You see horizon created in earlier minutes of the first movie and there is a bunch of them, are they destroyed? Or scrapped?
