Check the vtc solenoid. That’s the one that sends pressure to the cam. And also there’s a filter in the front of the head by the power steering pump. Those can be clogged too.

On your brothers car the psi could be low cause it has a full exhaust could be restrictive a little causing the lower psi
She did real good with no vtec. Maybe oil ports going to vtec solenoid are filled with sludge like the rest of the engine was . That’s why is always good to deep clean the complete engine. It’s all good now you get to do it again and make more content for us to watch 😂

Holy moly 370 with no vtec. You'll hit over 500 easily when the vtec is fixed 😮. That means my k24a with 6262 precision should be well over 500 now, very nice 👍

I’ve been itching to do a k series supercharged swap on my rd1
Those root style blowers get heat soaked fast. When I use to street/drag race my 92 1.6 sohc civic i used a jackson supercharger. 138whp on 6 psi ( man k series changed the game) I use to carry a ice cooler i would be constantly be keeping a ice bag on supercharger between races. HaHa even with that little Hp it still was a 13s .
Mine stays around ambient temperature and below during a pull but I have a merc racing aftercooler with and ice box

@YoungStatic I have a 95 Civic DX Hatch with a stock D16 (Single Cam) that I have been neglecting for sometime now due to health reasons. I ran into your page and man you just made me want to restore mine which was the original plan. Now my question to you is: Do you recommend to just re-build the stock engine + slap a turbo kit on it OR do you recommend just swapping it with a B-series? I'm not super knowledgable when it comes down to Honda's but I just want a daily that will be fun to drive and have some type of power!

supercharger psi deepens on the pully ratio... you also have to factor in crank pully you're running.
restriction is probably that muffler...is it straight through?
The muffler is a straight throw one yes. He said that long ago when he set the car up the first time the header steps down to just 2.25" and the rest is still only 2.5". The 2.25" being the worst bottle neck right off the header would affect it most of all I believe.

Me too, I am somewhat confused because Dana mentioned in previous uploads that it made like 269 or something with the small pulley from what I recall & it made Less power now 236?
@@estewar03 im not sure but that is like all motor numbers lol, i made 290 with a k24 , 2.95 pulley, it would be around 8-10 pounds

@@estewar03 k24 crank pulley with a 2.95 blower pulley on e85 is the way to go
but with aftercooler setup
