100% agree. I don't know why so many people think the PPSH is the best SMG in the game at all. In my opinion The Grease Gun is better, the MP40 is better, the Type 100 is better, the Sten is better. Same with the Rifles! Everyone says the BAR is the best in the game. This is unbelievable. I would say it is the 5th best Rifle in the game.
Opinion based off gold gun grind. M1A1: Basically no recoil and consistent time to kill. Anti-sniper weapon. Pain in the ass to get headshots even with high caliber. Solid in hardcore with decent magazine size. Gewehr 43: Slight kick that made it a headshot machine with high caliber in Core gamemodes. Had to run extended mags as default mag size was tiny. Ok in hardcore. Conclusion: I hate both weapons but prefer the Gewehr 43.
M1a1 for sure, its underrated simply because its semi auto, it kills fast and has no recoil. Use quick draw ext mags and either steady aim or reflex sight. Theres no reason to use grip and i highly doubt youll be hitting max fire rate so rapid fure is mostly useless. Because of its lack of recoil i wouldnt use high cal and if you run armoured you dont need fmj. Use that class and you will destroy people with it as long as you have a decent trigger finger.

Alex Anon i don't think it's underrated at all. I think it's more like level based preference. As in lower level or new players would prefer a full auto weapon over a semi auto one, because it's easier to get kills with an automatic.
Just got the Dark Lord variant, and I can say there’s a point to be made about how the shape of these guns in first person makes a noticeable impact. The bubble shaped iron sights similar to the mg15 makes for a clean sight picture, while the clunky drum mag and stick shaped iron sight on the lewis takes up about 50% of your screen.
I prefer the Lewis. It’s such a good lmg. But the mg81 is still nice. I have both epics and I did the contract to get the base or “rare” variant and I like the rare the best. Best iron sights compared to the old Irish or dark lord

To me it just feels better. The mp 40 has random recoil. The sten is nice and low recoil. Slap rapid fire and it slays. Pair it with infantry/hunker and it's great. I mainly play obj such as war, Dom, and hardpoint so it's good for me

Nikolas Elster. Hunker protects from explosive damage and gives you a reset on the grenade timer, whereas Armored gives you fire resistance, shell shock resistance, and greater protection than Hunker against explosives.

I've been doing this 'experiment' as well. Unlocked the Big Irish and levelled it up pretty quickly in Shipment, then started really concentrating on the Lewis, specifically the “Landship II” variant. So far, in my experience, both are quite easy to control, 3 shot kills at an incredible range, and are nearly equal LMGs all around. The only true differences that tip the Lewis over the MG81, in my opinion, are the iron sights and the rate of fire. The Lewis is damn near perfect whereas the Big Irish, to me, is somewhat obstructive. The higher rate of fire on the Lewis means a faster kill without having to use a rapid fire attachment, so that’s a plus. I usually run the Lewis with Grip and Extra mags as those two attachments alone make this a beast. I also run with the attachment that gives you extra lethal equipment (can’t remember the name atm) and Bouncing Bettys because when I run an LMG I like to find a nest, camp an area and protect my flank. I *DO* move around the map... it’s like fishing; if you’re not getting bites in one area, move to another and see if it’s any better. I don’t rush with the LMG because even with quickdraw the ADS is too slow and the hip fire too wide.

Ace, do a video on the (somewhat) newly buffed svt-40. I found it to be a lot better. I finished up my diamond rifles in no time thanks to its buff and I have to say it’s pretty dam good for a slow firin. Semi auto.
I personally think they should give a slight buff to the MG-81 to make it have a reason to be used other than reload and base mag. Like maybe buffing the ADS to 270ms and the sprint out to match, or at least same as Lewis. As for next versus, how about a three way battle? Sten vs MP-40 vs M34?
I got the Dark Lord at the last minute, thank God because I was about to spend 5k on that contracts to acquire it. That LMG melts in core. Prestiged it 3 times and blew right through the camos in my first day using it.
M1941 vs VWG I know that the Johnson is overall a bit behind, but with the VWG needing to use up an attachment slot in order to keep its range good, I'm curious to see how closely they match nowadays. I have a soft spot for the M1941, for w/e reason I frequently end up gravitating towards lessor used ARs in CoD. MW2 I loved the SCAR (instead of the TAR) and the F2000 BO1 I used the Enfield almost exclusively MW3 I loved the FAD This game I don't like the STG, VWG I merely tolerate. BAR I like, but M1941 fits me the best.
You should do a updated class setup video when you do these type of videos. Like a lmg run and gun class setup. I see the videos you posted 3-5 months ago but what about an updated video due to the buffs and etc. like what’s your ideal Lewis setup and your ideal MG81 setup. We like to hear your options and try different stuff out.
I have the Heroic MG81 and not the Lewis. So the 81 wins. Plus I have diamond camo on the Lewis already. MG15 is my favorite LMG though. Only variant I’m missing is the ack ack 1 and 2. The shorty 2 is my go to. Love that thing with the 4x scope.
Personally think the Lewis should have a slightly slower ads (2 frames or so) since I thought it was perfectly usable before its ads was buffed (with quickdraw). Lots of people think it's not op but it's pretty much an un-nerfed fg42 and is clearly the best lmg imo. This would give the mg 81 a more noticeable edge in some aspects and a clearer reason to run it.
I also hate the mg81's sight. I think the mg81 is meant to be played without grip and ext mag, and instead of those you put on rapidfire and a reflex sight. I kinda enjoyed the faster reload speed, and with hustle it also has a very noticeable reload cancel time.

i play hardcore and i love both guns.. however for some reason when I'm shooting from longer distances i find at times that i do get hit markers instead of a kill with the MG81.. there's definitely a noticeable difference to me with the damage.. however the MG81 is so deadly accurate and the recoil is non-existent.. they're both very good guns
The Lewis is a true LMG for LMG fans. Huge mag, good accuracy, amazing range, bad handling, long reload, and a god at locking down a lane when played right. Best LMG I've used in a long time. Reminds me of the Mk 48 from BO2
The MG 15 is a god, it dominates from all ranges depending on how you use it. My class is: Armored Division. MG 15 with ext mags, quickdraw, and rapid fire. Hustle. Frag and concussion grenade. The gun is amazing like this because it's easy to control recoil, making it effective at longer ranges, and the iron sights are beautiful
The Lewis is definitely better in statistics, but I prefer the MG 81 because for me it feels better, and I don’t have a Lewis variant so the iron sights suck on it.

Michael Guzman they are very different weapons. The aim of this series is to compare to similar items against each other (eg. SVT-40 and M1 Garand). The STG is more comparable to the Volkssturmgewehr, due to it's 4 shot kill. While the BAR is more comparable to the FG-42 with their 3 shot kill. It doesn't make sense to compare a low recoil, low damage weapon (STG) against a high recoil, high damage weapon like the BAR.
Tahmidul Amin I see your point there, however I initially thought of these two because they seem to be quite interchangeable in the competitive scene and I hoped Ace could give his two cents on which one the pros should use.
Michael Guzman if you check the current CoD competitive scene, the pros tend to stick to the STG and the PPSh because of their consistency. Whilst also dabbling in a bit of the M1 and Kar98k/M1013. Of the games I have seen they rarely run the BAR or any other rifles. I have seen BAR used only once and it was used as more of a suppressive weapon (like a LMG). I understand Ranked is slightly different to CoD League but, it's best example I could have given.
M1A1 by far. Bigger mag, barely any recoil, higher min damage, almost no idle sway, and much tighter hip fire. (esp with Steady Aim, wouldn't recommend going all spammy with it but if you get in a pinch and don't have time to aim the setup will give you a decent chance)
How about comparison between the Garand with x4 sight and the Karabin with x4 sight? Ok, they're in different classes, but they're similar guns with this setup.
My one class that is better for the mg81 is infantry with rapid fire, QuickDraw, and fmj. It’s better than the Lewis because if you put rapid fire on the Lewis you need extended mag and you don’t with mg81. Also use the mg81 that was a contract because it has better iron sights than the one you can craft.
I unlocked the MG81 heroic variant pretty early. sadly, the iron sight bugs me. It's simlar to the other variants with the anti-air styled sight but the crosshairs are thick enough to fit the opposition's heads at mid range; about 20m maybe less. head glitchers are my worst enemy when I use irons on the mg81.
any unpolished features you've noticed besides the flare challenge? i've noticed the 4x crosshair on the m1 garand overlaps with any other crosshair you want to use. also, the Karabin variant midnight and midnight ii have a visual bug where the crosshair shows through the sight while in hipfire stance. guess they really were made to be used with the 4x sight.
With the new division that increases scorestreak potential, what changes do you think that means for each scorestreak? For example UAV would last longer

How would you compare the 9mm SAP with the reichsrevolver in akimbo? Without akimbo SAP is clearly way better, but when I started using reichs in akimbo it feels quite different in that, with duelist SAP, since it shoots so much faster I go through the 8 rounds very quickly and often find myself out of ammo before a kill. The reichs shoot slower so it actually forces me to aim between each shot, and I somehow do better with it. I'm also curious if there's any thing the reichs has an edge over the SAP. I can't imagine the dev putting in a 3-shot-kill pistol that's all-around inferior to the existing SAP and luger.

Mp40 vs M19 Also please add fire rate. I’m a run and gunner and that’s my play style but I’ll do that with a LMG as well. And what does rapid fire do to the guns. I rapid fire and extended mags every gun.
It isn't bad but I prefer the other three mentioned. Something about it never felt comfortable to me but maybe that's because I haven't spent as much time with it.
Lewis kills everything for me on shipment. MG81 looks beast but for some reason just doesn't do better than the Lewis. I suggest testing them out on Shipment for those who are undecided.
MG81 feels better in my hands... It also kills in the same number of shots as the Lewis.... I also think that the MG81 recoil and gun kick are both lower than the Lewis' recoil and gun kick.
I use the Lewis on flak tower and the mg81 with optic on Aachen. Every other map I use an LMG on it’s the mg15. #bullet hose. How a vid on which division to use with which sniper to get best results. I’ve heard it’s not always best to use mountain.
Idk if this is something to be compared with but what about the concussion grenade and the gas grenade they both are tacticals that can stun them but which is really better

I can't figure out for the life of me which one is better.
The Lewis is definitely better in statistics, but I prefer the MG 81 because for me it feels better, and I don’t have a Lewis variant so the iron sights suck on it.
AudiotronGaming I believe u get the Lewis landship variant at social level 5. Just go around HQ recommending everyone, watch supply drops, and daily orders should get it in no time at all.
What about comparing the grease gun to the mp40? With the buff to both these guns in the past, I’ve enjoyed using both. What do you think?
How about an episode where you compare the STG to the BAR?
Michael Guzman they are very different weapons. The aim of this series is to compare to similar items against each other (eg. SVT-40 and M1 Garand). The STG is more comparable to the Volkssturmgewehr, due to it's 4 shot kill. While the BAR is more comparable to the FG-42 with their 3 shot kill. It doesn't make sense to compare a low recoil, low damage weapon (STG) against a high recoil, high damage weapon like the BAR.

Tahmidul Amin I see your point there, however I initially thought of these two because they seem to be quite interchangeable in the competitive scene and I hoped Ace could give his two cents on which one the pros should use.
Michael Guzman if you check the current CoD competitive scene, the pros tend to stick to the STG and the PPSh because of their consistency. Whilst also dabbling in a bit of the M1 and Kar98k/M1013. Of the games I have seen they rarely run the BAR or any other rifles. I have seen BAR used only once and it was used as more of a suppressive weapon (like a LMG). I understand Ranked is slightly different to CoD League but, it's best example I could have given.

M1A1 by far.
Bigger mag, barely any recoil, higher min damage, almost no idle sway, and much tighter hip fire. (esp with Steady Aim, wouldn't recommend going all spammy with it but if you get in a pinch and don't have time to aim the setup will give you a decent chance)
depends on whether you like pin point accuracy (M1A1) or headshots for days (Gewehr with high caliber)

How about comparison between the Garand with x4 sight and the Karabin with x4 sight? Ok, they're in different classes, but they're similar guns with this setup.
How about a video on the purpose of the signal flare. That would be a real challenge
My one class that is better for the mg81 is infantry with rapid fire, QuickDraw, and fmj. It’s better than the Lewis because if you put rapid fire on the Lewis you need extended mag and you don’t with mg81. Also use the mg81 that was a contract because it has better iron sights than the one you can craft.
Volk vs BAR would love to see
I unlocked the MG81 heroic variant pretty early. sadly, the iron sight bugs me. It's simlar to the other variants with the anti-air styled sight but the crosshairs are thick enough to fit the opposition's heads at mid range; about 20m maybe less. head glitchers are my worst enemy when I use irons on the mg81.
any unpolished features you've noticed besides the flare challenge?
i've noticed the 4x crosshair on the m1 garand overlaps with any other crosshair you want to use.
also, the Karabin variant midnight and midnight ii have a visual bug where the crosshair shows through the sight while in hipfire stance. guess they really were made to be used with the 4x sight.
nevermind about the m1 garand. guess it was recently fixed.

How would you compare the 9mm SAP with the reichsrevolver in akimbo? Without akimbo SAP is clearly way better, but when I started using reichs in akimbo it feels quite different in that, with duelist SAP, since it shoots so much faster I go through the 8 rounds very quickly and often find myself out of ammo before a kill. The reichs shoot slower so it actually forces me to aim between each shot, and I somehow do better with it. I'm also curious if there's any thing the reichs has an edge over the SAP. I can't imagine the dev putting in a 3-shot-kill pistol that's all-around inferior to the existing SAP and luger.

I have a class for youit's called the soviet union use airborne use the svt-40 with high caliber and extended mag's for the secondary any pistol for score streaks use paratrooper's carpet boming and glide bomb for the divition use mountain for the silent movmentand finilley for the basic training use forge thank you :3

Lewis and then MG81 and MG15 tied for second. Although honestly all 3 of them are great. 3 of the best guns in the game in my opinion.
Have to add PPSH to any list of best guns.

It isn't bad but I prefer the other three mentioned. Something about it never felt comfortable to me but maybe that's because I haven't spent as much time with it.

Lewis kills everything for me on shipment. MG81 looks beast but for some reason just doesn't do better than the Lewis. I suggest testing them out on Shipment for those who are undecided.
MG81 feels better in my hands... It also kills in the same number of shots as the Lewis.... I also think that the MG81 recoil and gun kick are both lower than the Lewis' recoil and gun kick.

I personally enjoy the mg81 better simply because of the fire rate and iron sights.
I use the Lewis on flak tower and the mg81 with optic on Aachen. Every other map I use an LMG on it’s the mg15. #bullet hose. How a vid on which division to use with which sniper to get best results. I’ve heard it’s not always best to use mountain.
Idk if this is something to be compared with but what about the concussion grenade and the gas grenade they both are tacticals that can stun them but which is really better

I prefer the mg81 the iron sights are so good, and since it doesn't kick up like the lewis I can shoot people from a distance
