Well, well I'm just saying thank you for this evening true powerful video commentary. Is indeed in my opinion truth be told the truth and food for thought.. Yes indeed thank you for your deep point of view with all of the facts. Thank you
I’m starting to hate VHS tapes they’re moldy and I have no idea how to clean them I think I prefer DVDs generally as long as they’re in the case they’re probably fine
Get the VHS tapes out of high-humidity environments like the basement, garage, or attic. For those tapes that are already moldy, all you need is a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and some shammy swabs. You can find good tutorials on TH-cam to fix your moldy tapes.
People like myself are fixing broken vhs tapes with Scotch tape it starts playing again with out no problem's plus I clean out mode switches in VCR players that start s playing again if you don't know what a mode switch is you can go online and say how clean out a mode switch in a VCR player
Well, movies like THAT 3:51 probably WILL BE put out in streaming form eventually, just give it time. Just as it probably took a while for them to come out on vhs too (not everything got released ALL AT ONCE in THAT format either I'm sure).
Anyone looking for The Three Stooges Idiots De Luxe(unopened), Beverly Hills Cop 2, Orange County, 007 Golden Eye, Nobody's Fool, Ben Hur or The Sound Of Music?
TV's more of the problem i know everything some TV's put more greater quality in your vhs tapes and some other TVs taking quality out of your vhs tapes that is the truth
I think the horror genre is really only meant to be watched in VHS quality to really get that level of immersion on the exception of a few other genres like maybe Star Wars (Anything 80's really). The horror VHS tapes are going for astronomical amounts of money. I'm thankful to have gotten Return of the Living Dead '84 at a decent price before the price hike.
Vhs tapes more free whiching in your house now days then Disney plus and Netflix and TH-cam is now days everything proven vhs tapes more healthy than Disney plus y vhs tapes keeps you moving more like getting up and down more
No, No, No 1,000 times. The thrift stores in my area don't watch them all the way through. They are wrinkled, they scratch my VHS heads. They are missing parts of the movie, etc...
Upscale VHS? 🤣 Only the amount of titles on VHS could be a reason to go look for one. Apart maybe from wanting to own all versions of your favorite movie. But how many would you be collecting like that? Minimalism goes against collecting anything, I guess.
I just recently found a bunch of my old recorded vhs tapes. It’s like stepping back in time, seeing the commercials. Super nostalgic and I love it.
Thats awesome!
Just started VHS collecting and my wife hates it, but that ain't stopping me! My prized possession us Dolemite.
Luckily my wife is very supportive of the movie collecting. Offer to let her pick out some movies too and it could make it fun for both of you.
I agree. VHS is fun!
Glad you agree!
Even if you get a dud movie your not out very much I probably lose more $ on bar pull tabs. Be kind rewind....😅
I still watch vhs! I literally just an hour ago finished shallow Hal on vhs
Nice! Thats a fun movie!
I have almost hundred vhs movies still growing and growing
Awesome!

You're very welcome
The trailers on vhs were special.
Yes they are like time capsules in that regard
Except for Disney videos I swear that they went on for an hour before the feature I wondered is this a tape of coming attractions?????😅
My local hifi store, Jbhifi in Camberwell Australia has a retro vhs section of physical media.
The 2016 model Samsung series 6 full hd smart TV, has analogue ports to hook up to a LG dvd/vcr combo and ports for a hdmi cable.
Cheers.

For what I can tell cleaning VHS tapes requires a $800 machine or two VCRs when I don’t even have one.
Ya I think formats that came after vhs can be easier to maintain

Good for you to
Amanda and the Alien just got its first ever blu-ray release by AGFA (American Genre Film Archive) the successor to Something Weird Video.
People like myself are recoding movies on VHS tapes from Disney plus everything looks like it did on Disney plus
Well, movies like THAT 3:51 probably WILL BE put out in streaming form eventually, just give it time. Just as it probably took a while for them to come out on vhs too (not everything got released ALL AT ONCE in THAT format either I'm sure).
That would be interesting if amanda and the alien went to streaming.
HD DVD is what I got into this year. The format that should have won. 😢
i bough it before it was discontinued and now i have over 100 movies for it and 3 players. I still buy movies when i find some in local thrift stores.
Not a bad format
Not just VHS, but people should be collecting ALL physical media. There will be no more physical media in years to come!
You found Amanda and the Alien on VHS? I had to buy a bootleg DVD back in 2006.
Yes I was able to pick it up on amazon from a third party seller.
'Terrifier 2' is available on VHS at Walmart right now!!! 📼
Thats awesome!
Really???? Noooo...on vhs???? I'll have to look
I’d love to find a way to affordably project VHS.
Good news Amanda and the Alien is now on blu ray at Vinegar Syndrome.
I saw that. Thats cool.

what about the responsibility of archiving the media?
i do wish we had more archivists instead of JSUT collectors.
crazy how red letter media single handedly inflated the Nukie vhs market

Its amazing how people will buy something when its not 10 to 25 dollars a pop.
joe bob briggs- "all horror movies are better when they're grainy & choppy"
People like myself don't like Disney plus y I was getting more lazy on Disney plus than I was on my VHS tapes
Curse of the black wid1977w is only on vhs.
Vhs tapes last longer than your money does
