When posted, and it's going on live now, you have to listen to the start of the 3rd set of the Hunter Johnson - Connor Garnett match in Houston cause every 2 seconds there's an "Adiamo!" coming from the court right next to it. So distracting the ref had to re-call the score on the Johson-Garnett court

Funny you mention asking for a selfie from Lea Jansen. Played at the Houston open yesterday and she was in front of us warming up. They had to move to another court and i asked for a quick selfie and she agreed, but she didn't seem to pleased (yes it was only a warm-up match, not a real match). Now, Paris Todd on the other hand was very happy to take a selfie and talk to me and my partner as we waited for our opponents to arrive on the court. She was warming up with Lacy S and I had to let her know that we had a match on that court. The difference in player's smile in the 2 selfies is very noticeable.
Nice recap. I’m glad you highlighted the Arnold/Loong vs French and that other guy with a J name, I watched that match and thought it was hilarious French started it but backed it up. Also tired of ALW being so dominant, It would be nice to see a new queen of the court emerge.

I love pickleball but it's super reddit and no one wants to admit it (I get it) but BJ has a waterboy, Leigh Waters wears a dif 10 rack fit everyday of a tourney, the hype-dorks, Dave Fleming "let's play pickleball", laundry list of weirdo goofus players (CJ, Jill Braverman, BJ in his own way too) is just bad for this moment of trying to legitimize the sport on as national or world stage. I personally don't care abt that, I just have fun at my local courts but this shit's embarrassing ngl. I hope more TW VD and Jack Sock players come in (Julien is in there too) to make it fun, a lil chirpy and dynamic
I'm not a fan of the ego battles with animosity and profanity back and forth. I don't think that's the example we want to set for children. There's nothing wrong with being competitive, but it should be done with sportsmanship in mind
