This was a great documentary. The speech with Tokido at the end still gets to me even now. So much heart.

So I've recently felt a bit down about dropping down in ranks and not feeling like training is really bearing its fruits, but watching the 3 videos made me feel better and I feel re-motivated to improve and re-think my approach to the game.

Quite possibly one of the greatest documentary's I've ever watched... For two reasons, Passion and Heart. It was a beautiful thing to see and watch. PERFECT
That was freaking awesome. My lady, now mother of my first born son, experienced the Evo2017 finals together cause I got us tickets and she came with me cause she loves me. We was rooting for Punk.
Well done to all involved producing this documentary. Very much looking forward to EVO2018 and the what lies ahead.

This was amazing so many hype matches impactful and emotional moment's. It's so great to see the passion that these players have. I love streetfighter and always will these games continue to bring people together and that's awesome.

Great stuff! Tokido just made 2017 such a great year for street fighter. I never watch a grand final so many times, and get emotional every time.
Right it! And what he said about Punk being a machine and making him human after beating him kind of reminds me what Daigo said about J wong in an interview when moment 37 happened that he wanted to remind J wong realize this just issnt a game for him because how hot J wong was in that tournament
This is AMAZING and I would LOVE more content like this. Personally, I would love to see an exploration of lesser known scenes... I know for a fact there are many deeply passionate players in Morocco, the middle East, etc that don't get the spotlight on their community nearly enough. Also please interview Nemo!!!

This documentary really shows the best side of each player. I didn't like Xiaohai and Ryan Hart as much but now really like them. It's also interesting to see the normal side of Zhi. Hahaha.

Even if I'm not a Street Fighter champion or never when to Evo tournaments, Tokido words at the end was very touching. I grew up playing fighting games and I hope to play forever too. Even if I get my ass kicked.
Every time I hear Tokido talk about fighting games, I tear up.
That was a fantastic 3 part documentary..thank you!
Best summed up in the very first Street Fighter: "What strength! But don't forget there are many guys like you, all over the world!!"

I only hope they stop with these stupid censorships, another nude Ryu DLC incoming but they still censoring womans costumes...
skyuru Wtf? What nude DLC costume does Ryu have? And only Cammy's intro and Mika's super in S1 were censored. Since S2 the amount of T and A shown on this game rivals those of the DOA series. See Kolin's win pose with her diver outfit or the Easter egg for Laura's sports costume if you dont believe me.

Sakura and Karin's nostalgia is censored, their original costume is the only two nostalgia arranged, every skirts of female characters is censored with shorts /spats under the skirt (skirt costume is no sense without panties)
They removed Cammy's nipples but they didnt censored the "dick" of Urien and Zangief.
Most of the males you can remove their top for "torso nude" mode but female characters have the most "full covered" costumes (if someone tell about Cammy, she dont have nay problem because she is not a fanservice character, her costumes is her "trademark")
There are so many hints of characters in the story, like Oro, Rose, CV, Abel, and the two unknown characters in Ed's story.
Great video. I miss USF4 though, even as a noob player the complexity gave rise to more varied playstyles. The larger roster helped too.

Street fighter wasn't about the US and Japan only.
It was about everyone, no one had sponsorship or won promo money, some of us went to arcades in different countries with only one coin, we wanted to make that coin last. We wanted to win. We wanted supremacy and bragging rights in our local arcades, is all we had, we didn't had disposable income or sometimes games to practice at home with. Some of us had to work since childhood, we didn't have that much down time to be allowed to play. We played for fun when we could, but also with heart.

As much as we bash on the mechanics of SFV for being too easy and cookie-cuttered, i feel Ono made the right call. We might not have our Punks, MenaRds, Takeuchis and Phenoms. If SFV had SF4 mechanics, the franchise would have dwindled out.

You're the first sane person I've heard talk on this subject. The skill floor should be low, the ceiling very high. I think Capcom made the right choice, just lacked good execution.
Instead the skill floor is very low and the skill ceiling is very low, making for an incredibly boring skill-less game.
SF5 will be remembered as a slap in the face to the fans for dumbing down the game play to toddler skill levels.

As a MOBA player myself, i find Fighting Games are amazing .
I may not play much fighting game in my life but i sincerely hope that Fighting games will grow to the right direction and the passion will keep burning in their heart .

I think that it was not only a shame but also an insult that gootecks and mike were not mentioned once during the whole documentary despite their huge contribution and all the effort that they have put into the FGC.
