Maria Warrington here from New Zealand. Im categorized as an Alto and Ive been following your fabulous Videos for about 9 months. Ive just recently been asked to sing back up vocals in a local band who sing predominately Folk music and light Jazz, so nothing too strenuous, and Im loving it. Thank you so much for your fabulous work I couldn't have done this without you.
That's amazing! Enjoy the gig! I love singing backing vocals! Probably one of my favourite ways of making music! Thanks for being here and thank you again for your Super Thanks!
Thank you for preparing a variety of alto warm ups. I have been vocalizing with you for 3 years now and it has helped me be in tune when I sing with my big show chorus.
Thank you for this alto warm up and also fir the soprano warm up. I have been doing then with a rolled bath mat way back in my mouth. It is important that I found a mit that doesn't shed, of course. It is rubberized. No danger of aspirating particles. I saw an interview with an opera star who warms up his voice like this.
Maestro, will you ever do a countertenor video? I'm closest to a Mezzo and therefore use your Mezzo videos, but I feel like there are unique challenges to the countertenor voice which maybe could be tackled. Thanks in advance!
hi Jeff! How I love these Alto vocal warm up and vocal workout! truly their are great, also for training tone balance in zona de passaggio and get a delicate light timbre. as always Bravissimo Maestro 🎶🎤🎹🙌
Hi! I just discovered your channel the other day and it looks great. But a bit annoyed with TH-cam cuz they never recommended your channel in the past whenever I looked up vocal exercises videos. You finally popped up because I typed in the word Alto. Anyways, in the future if I have a question should I post to any video or most recent?…. I wanna make sure it gets your attention……. Like when I ask for vocal exercises to sing Pat Benetar or Heart songs :)
Hello and thanks for leaving a comment! You can leave a comment wherever, I read just about all of them! I'm not surprised that I don't get a lot of algorithmic love. I'm just over in this corner of TH-cam singing scales and trying to help people enjoy their voices. There's nothing sensational or viral about any of it. That being said, there's a lot here, and should you not find what you're looking for, let me know! Jeff
Without any further ado at 1:20 😉 Thanks Jeff! 🐯

Love these videos but can we go back to having chapters on the videos? Sometimes I combine different videos and it helps me find specific exercises
