As a shift PSP player i swear this version is pretty broken (and so much burnout elements because this version developed by EA brighlight which is also developed burnout dominator)
@@lunchableskit2779 not is suck after story alone is confusing me I still stuck at missing SL 55 amg delivered mission I rather play ps3 version than stuck at psp version I was hell confusing
I'd rather play the original over this mess. Meanwhile the PS2/Wii version is even better despite being a reskinned Carbon with heavily modified Rockport map from Most Wanted (2005).
Man, Shift feels never end, cuz if you finished your career, you can still keep racing with your cars to get upgrade, and that's what I like about this game
I completed this game a few weeks ago. I do love how you figured out the driving/drifting model at the start and then ignore it while driving badly and calling the handling a hot mess.... it ain't the game... also, I think PPSSPP emulation breaks the motion blur, because on real hardware it's nowhere near that bad.
Shift and shift 2 are actually good games for me for example shift 2 great engine sounds there is heat coming off the engine the brakes light up the driver blacks out when you hit a wall it gets damaged the engine can blow and the tires can break so I think you should play the ps3 version of shift 1 and shift 2 to see what I mean
Endurance racing in Shift 2 was amazing, the handling was a bit off though, same for the AI aggressiveness and your car sticking to the AI after contant.
6:58 I was Litrally crying at this point😂 I enjoyed the console version quite a bit. Definitely not a good need for speed but a decent racing game in it's own right
I remember a challenge that I made with my friends: You have to drive the Carrera GT down the jumps in San Francisco normal and before the right curve, drift at 330km/h
i have so many memories with this game i played it every day and i didnt know how to go to the next level so i just replayed it and also i still have the umd
Damn I was about to comment on how I disagree with you, but I realized you were talking about the PSP version. It's very important to first watch the video and then comment.
This was my first nfs actually, and its still my favorite. It was kind of a glimpse at how visceral racing can be, like how you almost black out and you can hear your heart beat when you crash.
6:08 : the famous Undercover thing.. I remember all these times I tried a duel against a bot on ps2 and then he just flied away at 300mph in like.. 2 sec? :D
I'm excited to see Theo's reaction to the PSP version of Pro Street because, oh man, I want to know how ya'll feel about the cars' handling and opponent difficulty in that game.
The psp shift is the game that got me into cars in the first place, and i spent so many hours on it. By the way you can use the "drift button" (which is just the handbrake) to go faster around corners than normal braking and turning.
When you do play NFS Nitro on the Wii, the Wheel format (Holding the Wii Remote Sideways) is my chosen method. Also on the DS where you can Race on the Moon! and on both versions, you get to drive a VW Bus. also try Hot Pursuit 2010 on the Wii.
Midnight Club, TOCA and Gran Turismo had faithful recreations in PSP. Need For Speed cobbles together stuff left in a cutting room for meant for a different game before slapping the label hoping nobody notices.
this game on psp was like a fever dream 1. it had nothing to do with shift on pc or consle 2. you had prostreet kings with completely different cars (like how nate denver now drives a dodge viper, not a pontiac) 3. the handling felt like hp2 pc (in terms of insanely stiff handling) 4. it felt like prostreet for psp (dont even ask me what actual prostreet psp was attempting) 5. i would rather play nfs mw on DS or porsche unleashed on GBA than this (no joke, may be a joke)
I played this on PS3. While everyone noobed around in fully modded Murcielago's online because it was basically OP I had a very competitively tuned Koenigsegg CCX. My CCX was responsible for probably 95% of my online wins I only used my Murcielago when absolutely necessary.
The PSP version was developed by EA brightlight which they also developed Burnout dominator back in 2007. So that’s why the crash cam,wet handling and brake to drift was too burnout-ish (aka unrealistic)
Wii Need for Speed: Nitro was actually really neat. It wasn't a "Need for Speed" game. The idea of painting the town in your own graffiti from being in first was honestly really dope.
I have this on my modded PSP and played through it all some time in 2018....it's like my second favourite NFS game on PSP right behind carbon own the city
This PSP version of Shift doesn't look much like it belongs in the Shift series because the tracks in this aren't like simulated, grand touring race tracks; instead they look more like a sampler platter of a famous world cities tour about main streets, and yeah there's too many themes and other similarities, like opponents' names, straight out of Pro Street.
6:58 LMFAOO THAT RUBBERBAND AI WAS HILARIOUS!!! You should try NFS Nitro on the nintendo DS. Compared to the Wii, the way it handles on the DS makes it feel like a completely different game with the same name, although the graphics aren't the greatest but still rather good for the DS, plus, there's a race at the end of the game where you GO TO THE FREAKING MOON. Totally worth looking at just because of the moon race.
I think you’ll be surprised how good NFS Pro Street on the PSP will be. I played it back then but I didn’t play it much, but I still remember how good it was in my opinion
