- For a long time now NFS has had numerous ports of their games for the PSP , Nintendo DS, Gamecube, but out of all those ports their games on the Wii seems to house the goofiest and weirdest ones out there. Just how goofy and fun are they though?

ngl i feel you kinda misrepresented the run story line the wii is a big jump from the main game but to say it's story doesn't make sense it's not exactly true as the "assassin" that you were talking about used to be friend with the main character because the assassins sister was dating the main character (at least i believe so if i remember correctly) she stole the car one day on the track cause he used to race legally and ended up crashing it and dying and the assassin blamed him for his sisters death that's where the rivalry started from and the red head is the daughter of the mafia leader that takes place and she was kidnapped to be returned back to the mafia family at the end she even said her name the last name of the mafia group which explains to why things lead up like that i love your videos ever since i found them however I feel it's fair that you should always try to fairly represent something as best as you can but i feel as in this case you kinda just ignored everything that lined the story up together as I've spent my childhood on the way and the run being one of my favorite ports besides mario party and things like that but yea other then that great video as always man keep it up
@sweetsclifton4667 yea that is true I probably could have shown it differently but honestly I was just too distracted with how goofy the game was and the funny moments that occured during it cause it in end this is kinda what the vid is, just showcasing what goofy NFS game existed on the Wii
@@DoVe_7 lmao yep it is super goofy i had this weird glitch i've never been able to recreate on the race where you're driving the boss and you're chasing after the challenger in the desert where i hit a traffic car and it glitched the car side ways and spun me into a freaking Beyblade traveling well over 600 mph the game broke eventually I wish i knew what the hell caused it because you were literally able to launch traffic cars into the fucking shadow realm yea it's super goofy my impression it was sort of a review of the game as well but i stand corrected Appreciate you getting back to me on that tho!
@@sweetsclifton4667 but the story doesn't make sense, just the idea of people bringing 1m+ hypercars for a cross country race that only rewards 1m for a win is already a huge hole in logic. and that's only one part of the game's bizarre/questionable logic
@@Sharicite i meant as far as the background to how things led up or were like how the rivalry started and why things led up that way because the bottom line story does make sense the only parts that really don't is the one you pointed out which i wasn't defending in my original message i brought up the rivalry part and the reason to why and how it started the 1m while driving cars that are over 2-3 mil makes zero sense and i agree completely but the race its self at least at the ending wasn't about the cash prize anymore as nothing even happens with it at the end of the game (at least from what i remember been a while since i played it on my wii also the beginning didn't make sense ether if i remember correctly that might have been explained i'm not sure)
At least NFS Nitro has some really diverse good banger like Electronica, Rap and Rock that fits the racing vibe.

Dove you are forgetting that Mick Gordon made the soundtrack for Need For Speed Rivals Wii, he also made remixes of old need for speed music. They are extremely well made!

its funny how i had hot pursuit 2010 on the wii when i was younger, but hardly ever played it because of mario kart
Nitro is the best out of those 3 because it's not a Port but a tailormade game for the wii with love !

Well this certainly was a *heroic* video to go through! I do like the documentary style you went with on this. The Run on the Wii is my favorite considering how wacky the story is and how weird the gameplay was. Seeing a NFS like this was definitely eye opening for me considering I never got to see these particular titles. Great video as always Dove, I rate this a goofy ahh/10

So glad The run 3ds/Wii is getting attention. I remember getting this game for Christmas with my 3ds as a 4 year old and having so much fun with the game in 2011. I hope people could dig up the source code or whatever and look through cut content.

NFS Hot Pursuit on the Wii was the best multiplayer game...we played the 100 racers elimination mode so many times.
Don't let this distract you from the fact they made the 918 RSR a 2-seater instead of a 1-seater for the plot.

Actually cars in Nitro have more body parts but you have to progress in the career mode to unlock them and the police cars can use the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX while you race in B Class cars and the 2010 Shelby GT500 if you race with A Class cars 🤓☝️
Fun fact, Fast and Furious Showdown use the same but enhanced physics engine and assets like NFS The Run Wii / 3ds version

I consider NFS The Run on the wii a bit of a hidden gem. It's fun to play through. And at the end of the day that is what is important. It's basically Cruis'n USA on the Wii...with all the jank that comes with it. And its fabulous.

You forgot that everytime you open Nitro, there is a really cool cutscene, which is the main reason why I love the game
For some reason on emulator it wouldn't show a bit glitched so I skipped over it
i think it's an issue on the emulator when you're using different renderer. I used d3d11 and it's fixed

When I looked at the thumbnail I saw nfs hp on there then looked at the title and I was like: "bruh what's wrong with nfs hp!?" And then realized that it was for the wii of course it's going to be weird because it's on the bloody wii

I use to play need for speed nitro on the Wii back when I was 10 or 11
Nitro is fun with others. In elimination with cops, players take control of the cops and are extremely overpowered.

I don't really mind the cars being cartoonist, Nitro reminds me of Hot Wheels. EA just wanted to make the Nintendo consoles have more NFS content.

devlopers must of been on drugs for 3ds port. i played wii version. the wii version had really good multiplayer and thats what i mostly played

Undercover for the wii is a broken masterpiece aswell
Thing is the studio making the ds version of nitro made a way better game, it has more variety and more interesting mechanics (notably being the moon level i took for granted but it seems its become a mystery on the internet lately)
The wii version just pales in comparison and it makes me feel crazy how nobody is giving the ds version a proper look, everyone just aping everyone else like "durrdihirrdidurr wii version"
Maybe DS is better but I haven't played that so I can't say that myself, I can just say that I had fun playing the Wii version
@@DoVe_7 i did play both and i can vouch that ds has more variety in tracks events and mechanics. Personally i love the stunt mechanics and the fact that after every cup you unlock upgrade races where you can upgrade all your cars. Then you get the moon level after the campaign as pretty much a sandbox reward for all your hard work. The moon level changes the physics and you can freely spin your car in the air if you hold throttle and brake at the same time.

I initially played most wanted, underground and the most notable classics in nfs. I took a break to go school for a couple years I just got my allowance and went to a retailer I saw nfs nitro and the cover looked reasonable so I bought it, later I actually snapped the disk in half. Nfs nitro really showed me how separated the boys and the men were, you could really identify which game was in the Blackbox era. which one was a game, and which one was an experience.

Nitro on Wii is terrible. Ugly graphics and awful handling. However, it’s DS equivalent is excellent for the underpowered system. Recommended.
The run sucks
For the las time, the Java ports of need for speed Underground 1,2, Rivals or whatever iare UNNOFICIAL, they all are lazy title screen hacks of a fast and furious game.
The only ever mobile port of underground 2 is to the Qualcomm BREW platform, and it looks much better than whatever the "Java version" looks like.
