Yoooooo, I'm the Skyline from the 13:50 races, really happy you put the race in the vid. And yeah, R34 has an insane start and is pretty damn good in A+, tho I still find myself losing to some cars (especially the F40)
To me, collectibles are great if done right, I feel like the photo locations and wrecks in TDU2 are a good example of it being done right, they encourage you to explore the entirety of the map, and the photo locations do the same while also showing off beautiful spots on the map, maybe the photo part is just me being a photography nerd, but I genuinely like cruising around looking for stuff like that
For all forzas faults, it has the one collectable I don't mind at all. Fast travel boards. It just makes sense to make sure the player has fully explored the map before freely skipping past it.
I honestly really enjoy collectables that give me reasons to explore the map - my favourite part of every racing game is learning the world, and collectables can be a really good way to do this. I particularly love map features that you can use to find collectables, it becomes a map-reading detection game and I love maps. Very much enjoyed finding all the gas stations like this (not that there was any reward for that... ). I wish the locations you discover were more useful, though. A lot of collectable locations are really cool, atmospheric spots but they have no real purpose, and I feel like two of the most obvious location-based collectables that we've never seen are cooldown spots and pursuit breakers. Same for safehouses - these should be things you can simply go out and find. My main problem with them is making activities count as 'collectables' and then the idea of locking awesome cars behind them, and not even making the first attempt to link it into the game story. You found 100 ugly statues! Here, have a free Porsche! This makes NO sense. There need to be rewards, but it shouldn't be specific cars - vouchers good for any car, or discounts on any car (or ascending classes, perhaps - first one you get is B, then A, then A+...) would be better, or maybe minor parts like unique vinyls or wheels or something, or a ton of money, but the way it is now, entire cars like this gorgeous M1 are not going to be seen by many players because relatively few people will honestly be arsed to both find all the collectables and do all the activities. And dammit I don't like drifting! Don't make me build a genuinely good drift car and do every damn drift zone just to get a totally unrelated car. Totally agree about the derelict builds in Payback, that was one of the best features of that game and I really enjoyed gradually constructing the cars, it's a major incentive to progress. I remember wishing there was a game that was 100% derelicts. I also really liked the idea of the parts trucks in 2015. I'd like to see something a little like the scanner from Far Cry 2 be used, where a beep/flashing light increases in speed the closer you get, but there's no directional indication. I think it makes you read the map better. I like that seeing them puts them on the map, but I'd like marking the map to be a manual thing you actively have to do if you want to record a position.
I don’t mind the collectibles the way NFS Unbound has done it. It gave me incentive to complete them all to unlock everything. It’s not like Payback where they were pointless or even Heat where you still had to buy the car afterwards.
Yea NFS heat did it the best by combining collecting collectibles and and exploring st the same time Also the game rewards you with great cars like the m4 gts or the fkkx and it gives you a reason to replay it unlike unbound which feels very grindy and frustrating
i built a car specifically for collectable hunting, i made drift car, use the beetle for the speed traps, an offroad truck that jumps like a stadium struck for the ramps
Honestly who ever came up with off-road drifting needs to be “ game ended” Edit: to clarify irl rally’s are really fun and as an amateur driver I highly recommend it I’m just saying that in game ie in inbound or in heat off-road drifting is so annoying
When I was a lass and gaming was a mystery that I wanted to explore my little heart out, I would collect everything I could find. As a adult (old lass) I just don't have the patience to collect stuff, it becomes a chore and extremely lamentable. I guess as we get older, we take the easiest way out of doing anything
I don't mind doing the collectables. I do mind that the collectibles are only $250 ($2,500 in Heat). Also you can only do the activities one time, whereas in Heat you could re-run them for more money, which is DESPERATELY needed in Unbound.
@@sahil_tayade That's such a dumbass argument. "Oh it doesn't count as mandatory because there are so many other cars to play with" well maybe I don't want the other cars. I like collectibles because you do them while chilling but the downside for me is that game shows you all of them at once and once i see like 200 things looking at me, i don't wanna do them anymore. In fh4, you needed 50 boards for the free teleport so almost everyone did that because they are only 50 and you required them for a good reason. Idk maybe they can find a way to do collectibles without turning the game into grindfest but they need some change fr. If they show me area by area, i would collect all of them but thats just me. (If they let you put on the classic Spectraflame blue or green Hot Wheels Ultra Hots "Wind Splitter" livery on the M1, I would approve.)
Theo, you should definitely try the Mclaren 600LT. The handling physics on the car are very smooth and predictable. It might just be the full grip build I did, but most other cars I do with full grip still tend to slide. This car doesn't have as much understeer as you'd expect for a car like that. Lastly, it was overpowered in NFS Heat, and if you keep it in S class, it's also very effective in this game, as well
You can actually unlock bmw legendary custom by just a glitch by holding left d pad and buying the body kit before it just click select and left on d pad at same time
I like the collectibles (in nfs), something fun to do with friends. Just drive around and hang out. Last week we finished finding all the ones in Heat naturally. A way to see the map from a different angle other than just drive from a to b, race, rinse, repeat. Over and over. I think what would be cool for collectibles: adding drag races and/or mini street x/trial like challenges.
I liked collectibles when they didn't get shoved into your face. Like in Midnight Club 3 for example where you could find those 12 Rockstar signs but you only knew once you found the first one and they also wouldn't show on the map.
On collectibles, Tears Of the Kingdom just came out, and in that game you have 1000 korok seeds, which are given to you by little forest npcs all around the map. Some times you just gotta find em, and sometimes you have to do a little challenge. And after a certain point (~280 I think) they become useless. And I have a theory that Nintendo added them just to spite casual completionists like myself, who want to do the soft completion of beating the game, owning every armor set, owing a house, completing most to all side adventures and quests, and getting every collectible. Istg I hate massive completion goals.
i would prefer if "collectibles" were like scavenger hunts but in the style of a Grand Tour Special that Jezza, james and hammond have done. Give me specific clues, a destination and conditions i must follow to make things interesting, and have it not be slapped on the map, but instead, random easter egg-like challenges i'll come across by chance while just casually exploring, and if i dont want to deal with it, just let me buy it for large amounts of money if you think its worth that much, because at the end of the day they're just collectibles and alot of the time, cosmetic ones, the game already lacks alot anyway.
Collecting collectables for the sake of collecting is one thing, some people enjoy hunting for eggs. It's another when it becomes mandatory for unlockable items. If anything, you should get an achievement, and that's it.
Just an opinion, the collectable are good tool to make players explore, they allow all vehicle types to do Something, the issue is ghostgames/criterion were bad at utilizing their map with them Forza and The Crew meld their maps with the collectable well Forza encourages you by being generous with their detection distances and giving you rough areas to look for, the crew makes them rare but a nice event to do for parts
Quick tip: action camera is your best friend, for road racing and drifting alike. 600LT is quite good for S class, very quick off the line and can be built to 100% grip. M1 is equally a beast for A+, but heavier and better for smooth drifts on narrow corners/quick exits. Both suffer at higher speeds.
I can say that, developers target also to play the game as much as possible, so aside of story they want to make some kind of activity, but here comes the issue. “How to make them fun?” Is it the idea issue or less time to develop the feature or maybe even both. Who knows maybe it’s the marketing specialist problem, because they are the ones that make risky dates, to show the project.

God i wish those bodykits actually do help and change better the car in Handling because the old BMW m1 with that cool Bodykit you get for completing anything it deserves a lot more Handling if its on to take Corners a lot better. And this should be with othet parts and Kits too
Not gonna lie, the Payback really made things fun with searches for parts and the limited runs (tho the new players could get a shot at it somehow too so they don't miss out on the epic cars like the police ford, M3 GTR, and others) but they just NAILED IT with it
collectables add to the endgame, if there wasnt any in this game then singleplayer legit would not have anything to do, its fun a breaks up the drive from point a to point b repeatedly, drift zones shouldnt be a thing though, should just be events like Payback
I feel if they're is incentive besides "you cant 100% the game unless you collect 100 spray paint cans" or some shit, it would make them worthwhile. a car or a specific visual like a bodykit would reward you for persistence, make you feel satisfied and let other people see you;ve put in work.

meanwhile i still havent completed all the collectibles in NFS Heat. I completed in some areas like in Palm CIty Raceway, & Downtown Palm City. There are 2 speedzones left i still could not complete!
This thing merc's in A, A+ but the top end lacks, so long track you can lose, but short tracks and the actual track you're likely to win every time unless they sport the meta. I used it to do the BMW challenges.
Collectibles are annoying cuz of lots of things: 1.) They are not worth your time you can spend for example with ur gf or family. 2.) They cover pretty much 90% of the map and it evokes you to collect them all just to get them disappear. 3.) If you are already collecting them then the worst part is that they sometimes are not shown on the map depends what game is it. 4.) Collectibles are not fun its just grind for 100% completion which we really hate. 5.) The worst are in FH 5 in my opinion cuz some of em are sooo hard to reach. Conculsion: COLLECTIBLES ARE EVERY GAMERS BIGGEST NIGHTMARE! HOW CAN SOME COMPANIES THINK THAT THE PLAYERS WILL HAVE FUN COLLECTING THEM?! THEY NEVER LOOK FOR THE HATE COMMENTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND NEVER LEARN THEIR LESSONS + IF THEY DONE SO THEY WOULD SAVE UP A BIT OF MONEY THAT THEY REALLY LOVE! Im speechless guys. What about you ???
There is a cheat to get legendary kits, you just have to go to the kit beside it, then move to the legendary kit and hit select just after you move over. Eventually u will get the timing right and get it for the price of the other one. U still gotta buy the car normally tho, m1 costs aims 200k i think
Who cares about collectables if you can hop on and have a maxed out car for your class and everyone just DUSTS you immediately and the remainder of the race...
I didn't mind and I completed this game twice XD But I kinda dislike collectable myself but removing that would defeat the purpose of other games really or take a lot of non-told lore ....
Honestly I’m fine with collectible exclusive cars. I only spent around 5 hours collecting for everything and got one of the best cars in the game (488 gtb) and a sick m1 legends edition. My issue is that almost every other car is locked behind annoying challenges like “drift for 300 seconds while racing”. Just like…. why?
Bro collectibles should be one of those "easter egg" things like something out of GTA VC, SA or other games from then, they shouldn't be so massive in numbers to the point where they become a side mission of sorts, they should actually just be what their predecessors were. Easter eggs
Classic GTA collectables weren't easter eggs, they were necessary to improve the weapon selection at your house in VC. Every 10 got you more stuff. I forget about SA, but I think it was possible to spawn a Harrier jet at Grove Street if you got every one (I never did), but there were like 350 of those damn things.

I got the same feeling man. There is no point on collectables in NFS. It isn't satisfying enough when you find all those things, other than that the trophies pop up. They can do better things in place of this.
I opted to change the M1 over to a straight-6, Procar bodykit and max it out in S+ and that ended up being the car I used for that class in the grand. It's a very enjoyable car to drive in full grip for me. I just wish they had the proper Procar engine so it could really scream.

Almost became my new fav over road rage
I too have been through this hell and I can say for sure it really wasn’t worth it
You enjoy racing and buying/customising cars, what is a better addition?......get unique rewards after completing mini challenges. You get to enjoy exploring the entire map and unlock cool free cars/cash rewards while you're hitting insane speeds and insane air👌👌
fun fact at 7:03
A$AP Rocky's car use R32's RB26 in game 😅
Its like afew collectibles in GTA Online with the 3 weapons that unlock in RDR2 after the challenges have been completed
meanwhile i still havent completed all the collectibles in NFS Heat. I completed in some areas like in Palm CIty Raceway, & Downtown Palm City. There are 2 speedzones left i still could not complete!
Fr, leave it for adventure games
This thing merc's in A, A+ but the top end lacks, so long track you can lose, but short tracks and the actual track you're likely to win every time unless they sport the meta. I used it to do the BMW challenges.
It's the Gearbox downgrade trick, high end parts and 4 gears.
Collectibles are annoying cuz of lots of things:
1.) They are not worth your time you can spend for example with ur gf or family.
At least with my testing the m1 is pretty good in every class
And would gladly give someone a build for each class
Some collectibles are ok. But sometimes they're a little out of hand... Like all the flamingos in heat, grrrr.
The worst part of any racing game is you can't remap the button of your wheel or even not support wheel.
I didn't mind and I completed this game twice XD
But I kinda dislike collectable myself but removing that would defeat the purpose of other games really or take a lot of non-told lore ....
Just like…. why?
"Only 5 hours"
Mate that's like a week's gaming time if you're a busy person
@@Josh_Quillan It’s there for those who want to do it. If you don’t have the time, then don’t do it
It was fine in TDU2, but here it's too much
Collectibles are only good when get something for finding all of them 😐
Hey Pants, try launching from 2nd with nitrous to solve your problems off the line ☺️
He plays with auto gearbox btw
@@LilnormieX ah, that’s going to be a problem
Kinda sucks you cannot get a bumper on the legendary body kit. I love the back end but the style is lost with the bumper delete. Bad decision...
@@Josh_Quillan dude i was just saying we need these things to be rarer cuz it is getting so dam annoying and it ends up being fu€king obnoxious for completionists
Closest thing I do to collectibles are barn finds in forza which i could do all day, traditional collectibles are a no from me chief
Collectibles in racing games do feel tacked on just to give you a purpose to explore the open world.
Excellent Gameplay Brother
Cool video black panthaa
3:27 my brother in Christ it’s putting a roll cage
I like collectibles 😐 but getting money for them is nice and payback proly had the best system
I did a glitch to get it
theo the flat 4 and v8 are the best engines they compete in s+ easily. only car that beats me is the stupid fucking regera that car needs to be in a class of its own completely overworked compared to ANYTHING else in the game but anywho don’t buy the v6 and PLEASE don’t make my car meta i love this thing for s+ and i hate using meta cars i actually feel different with this car
Need for speed needs a weekly challenge series
I remember someone bragging they can get all collectibles in 1 hour if they really go for it and shat on me for my lack of commitment to this game.
I got the same feeling man. There is no point on collectables in NFS. It isn't satisfying enough when you find all those things, other than that the trophies pop up. They can do better things in place of this.
Bro has to do reactions to Aussie car culture burnouts, power cruise the whole lot
What tires did you use? (As in the visual modification)
What I don't like is the fact that you have to go to the online map to find everything. It's just more time consuming.
I'm surprised you haven't made a video about FH5's new expansion yet.
I opted to change the M1 over to a straight-6, Procar bodykit and max it out in S+ and that ended up being the car I used for that class in the grand. It's a very enjoyable car to drive in full grip for me. I just wish they had the proper Procar engine so it could really scream.
how are you still playing this ? i got bored of it after a WEEK and went back to assetto/forza
I still don't have the game yet! Repacks of unbound on pc aren't released😳😢
Beamng continues to be the king of all racing sims/ games
Even with all thg motion blur and camera shake in Unbound BeamNG still has more realistic sense of speed. Unbeaten
i can tell youve been vocal about it you yelled at me at the start of the video
A lot of people are sleeping on the flat 4 engine. I put it into the 240z and its at S class beating lambos
i hate when i cant have proper handling on a racing game or mod suppport
I think we could use a NFS with higher stakes maybe racing for pinks
Actually that is the least of my problems with this game, collectables it's fine a good killing time, what I am sick and tired of is the damn story modes just put me in races and enough with the cheese bro bro bro bro bro stories for goodness sake, NFS was never big into stories just cars and cops and race done!
I like it because it’s like a trophy you can show off that not many other players have since it’s a pain in the ass to do all of them
That 600lt is S class short-track beast
How dare you put an accurate picture of the bear 🐻
Are you going to do the budget builds like nfs heat? I am running out of vids to watch lol 😂😂
"Checklist gaming" sucks. It seems like most games nowadays are going for that Ubisoft formulaic open world design.
16:57-17:41 sick moment 💥
Think about the collectibles in the GTAs
They are not even shown on a map
The r34 in this is absolutely stupid, built it for A class and I have yet to lose a single race with it. Ridiculous.
I dont mind collectibles in games. But collectibles in racing games is just annoying
Like 20 or so unique feeling stunt jumps would be great and fun, but just putting several dozen samey feeling jumps is lazy, boring and repetitive.
Build an S class cougar with the regera engine 😂 she’s a handful but fun
Do the Subaru brz7 premium, build and customization
I disagree I made some of the baddest wraps for my cars on heat with the paint tou had to collect and it was worth it people always asking me to help collect them to make wraps in my opinion I think it's pretty cool I can't speak for the other dumb stuff but it's cool the paint is the only ones I look forward to getting but I collect everything first that I can before I start the game game you get enough money to get through the game without worries about money
