Turtle Bay is pretty fancy now. I delivered over 10 boats thru there and always got shorted when getting fuel from the pangas. I'd avoid it if possible. Now it looks like a nice place to stop. The boat hitting is possibly as simple as units. Should have had more than one person awake coming in anyway. Look forward to that read.
Yes, we'd read about fuel issues there, but we didn't need any for the whole Baja West Coast. There is a new fuel operation starting there now. That wreck is such a bizarre story. Sounds like all crew were awake, but the one volunteer captain was making horrible decisions as they came in in the dark. It's really sad for the owner who had called that boat her home.
Thanks for tuning in folks! If you want to find earlier videos from this trip that you may have missed, here is a playlist with the whole trip to Mexico in it! Cheer! th-cam.com/play/PLcmKrL3eA8jSt5RKqaep9w7_LTbC5dG5g.html&si=SCClbwSl-U88ch48
Just discovered your channel … I’ll have to do a binge watch I’ve got a W33 ketch built 1978 one owner . Really appreciate what you’ve done with your discus. 👍🇬🇧
Welcome to the channel, Mark! Gotta love the W33/Discus family. I look forward to seeing a W33 ketch in person some time. Not many Westerlies here on the west coast of North America. Enjoy the binge watching!
Ahoy! We just created our channel and are beginning our journey! Our boat is currently in Chiapas Mx with plans to head to Baja! Enjoying watching what it’s like up there!😊
Welcome to the wonderful and weird world of video creation! I'll have a look at your channel, and do reach out when you get to Baja. We'll be back sailing there in November!

Beautiful. I've always wanted to learn to sail but I'm scared of the ocean.
The open ocean isn't for everyone, but with starting out in an enclosed bay or on a lake can be less daunting :)
Thanks for watching!

@@SailingSeaDreamofClyde thanks! It definitely fun, overwhelming and the learning curve is LARGE! ❤️❤️
Can you hear the crackling shrimp yet?
Ya! They're cool! I think we started hearing them in SoCal, or maybe even San Fran?
Peace
It's a wonderful peaceful coast!
