      So i watched your video on Niacinamide where you recommended Niacinamide 10%, Zinc 1% from The Ordinary.
      I starte dusing it like a week ago, but i get i tingling sensation once i apply it, plus my skin gets a little red and i get a few rashes.
      As i have dry, very sensitive skin because of my eczema.
      Is there any other brand that has Niacinamide you would recommend for very sensitive skin?
      Would love to hear from you soon 😊

    Hi Doc! Thanks for all of the education. I've been following you since you started and the way that your followership has grown is a testament to the need for this type of information. QQ - here we mention that 10% Niacinamide is the recommended dose and a good option. I noticed that in more recent videos you mentioned that clinical trials are on 4% or so. I have not experienced any reaction from the 10%. Is it ok to continue to use that or should I switch to a product with a lower percentage? Thank you!

    Hello Dr. Vanita. I’m so glad I found your channel. I’ve been watching all your videos since I found you. Do you have your treatment center in United States and where? I’m Asian and have melasma after my pregnancy. I’ve been treated with Tri-Luma (fluocinolone acetonide 0.01%, hydroquinone 4%, tretinoin 0.05%) on and off for many years but melasma never go away completely. It always shows up more during the summer and light up in the winter and I have normal to dry skin. After watching your videos, I see that hydroquinone is a no no for Asian skin. Would you recommend what products should I use to stop this issue? I can’t wait to see my clear skin some day. Thank you for making all these wonderful videos.

      Yes, i am using niacinamide 10% from
      “apotheke” (a local brand here in the Philippines) for 5 months already. I had experienced purging/ breakouts during the first month of usage. It helped a lot in flattening the bumps in my face, the hyperpigmentation tho, It is still here, the color of the hyperpigmentation is lighter than the “fresh” hyperpigmentation but it isn’t actually disappearing... hope it helps☺️

      Niacinamide and Vitamin C to be used at different times for maximal effect of each

    • @easybreezylifewithchandni
      @easybreezylifewithchandni 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi... I hope you don’t mind me answering this question.... Vitamin C is definitely a more effective Ingredient.... but Niacinamide is more gentle.... Many with sensitive skin are unable to tolerate vitamin c. So if you do decide to invest in a vitamin c product, make sure that it has a low concentration... maybe start with a 10%. And definitely patch test.... but if your skin is extremely sensitive then better to invest in a Niacinamide product. And Niacinamide and vitamin c can definitely be used together at the same time for maximal benefit. Depends on whether your skin can tolerate it or not.

      Divine Shelton I haven’t seen any results yet but I’ve heard it can take up to 3 months to see changes. I’ve been using the inkey list one for like 4 weeks now so I’ll have to keep using it to see what happens. I might switch over to the ordinary niacinamide I’ve heard some people have results with that one

      @sbhatwa1786 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@wydmatt7294 Hi, I use it daily as part of my night-time routine. It didn't purge me. I don't think niacinamide can purge people it's only active ingredients like AHAs, BHAs, and Vit C that can cause that effect, I'm not too sure tbh it might depend on your skin type. I have dry and sensitive skin, it didn't really break me out, cause sensitivity, dryness or anything. Personally I've yet to see any effect of using it, I'm trying to use it consistently for three months and if I don't see any difference I'm switching to the ordinary serum.

    for me with the ordinary niacinamide serum....it doesn't burn when i put it on but its definitely more than a tingle...and my face always seems more bumpy with new fungal acne and other little pimples all over my face (on the usual breakout prone areas of my face and new areas of my face and neck)....i also use alpha arbutin and salicylic or tranaxemic acid (alternating) each night....none of the other products have a weird tingling sensation except the niacinamide....not sure if its niacinamide in general thats too strong for my sensitive combination indian skin or is it just the specific ordinary niacinamide serum...i also dont know if its purging or genuine breakouts because they don't seem to be going away either...also when i apply the niacinamide serum from the ordinary...i guess maybe im applying it wrong but usually i rub it in my hands a little then put it on my face and it gets really soapy looking on my hands and face when i do that ive tried just patting it in my face still the same issue...
