- Hey guys, welcome back to my channel. In this video, I showed how to prepare a comprehensive Nursing CV for a UK job, how to look for a health care assistant job in the UK, where to look for jobs and agencies that you could use. For you to get more value for this video, you will need to watch my previous video - how to become a Nurse in the Uk even if you have an IELTS of less than 7(Part A). A lot of overseas Nurses find it challenging to meet the current NMC UK minimum scores for IELTS or OET. However, because of the shortage of Nurses in the UK and many other countries in the world, there are other ways you can use to become registered as a Nurse in the UK. One of those ways is to look for a health care assistant or senior carer’s job in the UK and while you are working, you can then continue to strive to complete your NMC registration.

Yes, absolutely! Just make your intension of progressing to a nursing role known.

Somebody said that Nigeria is on the red list ie they're not permitted to work in health sectors in the UK.
They are permitted, you just need to look for these jobs and apply on your own.

Academic IELTS for UKVI is perfect because you an use it for most things

Hi Linda.
It depends on your employer and your contract.
The best thing to do is to discuss with your potential employer before you sign your contract. Let your employer know and also include in your contract that you can change to a Nursing position once you complete your NMC process.

Yes, you can

I usually encourage colleagues to always make sure they mention their plans to employers during interview or before signing their contract - that they want to move to a Nursing position as soon as they complete the NMC process. They should include it in your contract if possible.
Most employers will agree.
This way, you can always move to an RN position.
Again, under this visa,.it is lawful to change employers. If you get your nursing PIN, you can get another job with another UK employer and update your VISA.

You will need to keep trying to meet all the NMC requirements while in the UK. That is you will need to pass IELTS, CBT , verify documents etc

For Nurses, NMC requires 7 in Reading, Speaking and Listening and 6.5 in Writing.
