I know this is from god.. thank you God for showing me this today. Im literally in the middle of something bad between me and a friend. my friend did something wrong and I'm really upset about it and it's causing me to want to lash out at them with hurtful words because there words and actions hurt me. I'm glad I was shown this today at this exact moment it makes me rethink my decisions I just made with them and I'm absolutely regreting all of it I'm not saying what they did was ok but it wasn't ok to bring them down with me also.

Every year we go camping with our family, and we clean our camper every year because mice get in it sometimes. We were cleaning really hard yesterday, and We were having fun, and we would just walk out the door and go start cleaning it. That night our dad said we were going to get 10 bucks each because we were so dillangent and would go out there even when it was 108°. We were only doing it for fun!

Beautiful! Kindness, the path to peace. Ever thought of talking about divorce and re marrying? When I say re marrying, those who leave abusive toxic marriages and then find someone who truly respects and cares for your well being. I've always wondered if I'm taking the bible's idea of divorce and re marrying out of context... or not?

Jon, can you make a video about having GOOD humor and using humor for good. I think humor is great and very important but sometimes it seems hard to be funny without making jokes that are inappropriate or that come off as just being rude or as an insult that is "just a joke." Thank you, I declare I am kind in Christ Jesus, amen, binding myself but also my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ to be kind for one another while binding to hell all lack of kindness, binding to hell being unequally yoked and having any common share with those lacking kindness, in accordance with this word galatians 5:22-23, 2 corinthians 6:14-18. I took this message too far for 49 years by rewarding my unrepentant abusers at the expense of my own health and the loss of my own true identity. I cut them all off as a kindness to myself, and them because it is NOT good to abuse anyone! Now I am sick and alone.and used up and dealing with bitterness. Boundaries are the key to all healthy relationships. And if people don't respect them, then they must be enforced. The message of kindness has been twisted and used to manipulate me my whole life. There needs to be a balance and clarification to what it means

With Christ Centered Kindress, where do you draw the line. like if being kind to the person is going to hurt you or has been hurting you. When is it ok to stop and walk away? I know as Christians were are to put our selves last. When is that not ok? Like when is it ok to be kind to yourself?

    • @dietlindnkea168
      @dietlindnkea168 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Kindness does not equate allowing others to abuse you and take advantage of you. It's possible to be kind from a distance. If your allowance of other people's behavior towards you is actually harmful to you and compromising to your health, you should probably walk away. Walking away in itself is not unkind. This response came soooo late but I hope I said something helpful

    • @daniellehalo6923
      @daniellehalo6923 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

While we are called to be selfless and put others above our ourselves, that does not mean being a doormat.
The golden rules is 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.'
      Note 'do unto you.'
How you are treated matters, because you are a human being also. So to be treated horribly by others and allowing it..you would have to do the same to others.because you are to do to others what you yourself want for yourself.
While it says to honor others, it says honor God firstly, your body, and to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. It also says to shake the very dust off your feet from places where people who reject the good news you bring and persecute you are.
You as an individual matter too.
To be truly kind is to stand up for God's honor and truth--because that serves everyone well.
Allowing God's spirit to grow in us and make us feel naturally kind and loving, not our own idea of kindness.
When it comes from God we truly feel forgiveness, patience and understanding for others WITHOUT their negativity stealing our joy and expecting anything from them in return.
      On the other side.
If God wanted you to stay around people that are negative he would not have bothered to call you out from them.
      Grow with God.
Some people have more maturity in the fruits of the Spirit and are called to witness and endure
negative people longer--because it might get through to the unsaved.
However, you should not stay where God has not called you .
You need God's help and his power making you into your best version.
Some things we are called to endure for our growth, sometimes other people's growth and other times both, and then there are instances when God is clearly telling us to leave--because instead of the situation helping us grow--we are being destroyed. Just because you have good intentions and want to be selfless, does not mean you have the full Spirit or capacity to do so without your entire life being ruined. You ave to take this one step at a time, and remember sanctification is a process.
Get closer to God and he will give you wisdom and strength to hold on and when to let go.
      .

Hey Jon ! Thank you a lot for your videos. I'm watching many of them since some weeks (since I found your channel). I really want to learn more and more and your videos bring much wisdom and love ! So thanks a lot ! I got a video request. Can you please make a video about the topic "kindness & jokes in every- day- life - What's okay and what not ?" I think that I am quite petty and unsure about that. Some friends and people around me make some jokes and aren't kind all the time, it's just the way they behave. And I'm asking myself (cause it annoys me) : Am I just very petty or should we as christians be as kind as we can be (not just in general but specificly in our every-day-life and jokes with friends ) ?
I'm sorry for that long text, but it's a topic I am thinking a lot about..

What if someone has taken advantage of your kindness many times in the past, never really repented, and you find out that they purposefully tried to turn your friends against you, and almost succeeded? Do you just forgive them if they say they're sorry, knowing they probably don't really mean it?

You HAVE to get closer to God. You NEED his guidance and spirit.
He is the one to direct you and give you the fruits of the spirit.
He already knows your heart but still express it to him fully in prayer and fasting. Be honest with God.
You need to switch the balance.
If you have mostly time around her, erase that time or decrease it, and instead spend more time with God and positive people. If you are mostly getting negativity everyday, that is what you will feed and get.
being kind doesn't mean we have to take people's negativity.
      We are not God.
Sometimes serious prayer for extremely negative people, or just blessing them is the kindness they really need.
If they are narcissist they will actually feed off other's pain and keep on doing what they are doing. So they are not helped or the people involved.
You need God's guidance in what to strive with and what to let go.

im sorry but, this is what i hate about christiens, your kindness is fake, if you believe youll get some kinda reward in the afterlife just for being kind, thats selfish, you should be kind without expecting anyhting in return, maybe some good karma but thats about it
