Wow. I appreciate this message. I was reborn 6 months ago. I was in a drug rehab for 3 of those months and had only the Word and prayer to keep me in contact. I now reside in a shelter. And regardless of my circumstances, I have my focus on Jesus. He provides all I need and sometimes what I want. I view this time not as a hardship but rather opportunity to grow closer to God. I'm thankful to be used by God in so many situations with the women I live with. Thank you Jesus for finding me and loving me.
I was reborn at 12 years old. I was very terribly disappointed at life, diagnosed with depression, autism asburges disorder, and asthma. And also had suicidal thoughts. And couldn't tell anyone i thought i was forever alone, in my emotions, and life.....until, i found God, when i found God i started doing things i never believed i could do, and i felt as if i was never alone. And to be honest, i wasn't, but i never knew. But now i know, and know I'm new
And now I'm 13 years old with an IQ of 150 I'm 5.9 and wanting to be in the army, marines, and be a preacher one day and it was all because of God and his love. I was the dark knight. But now. I'm the LIGHT KNIGHT 🦇💨🦹🏾♂️
You see god gives everyone there own power. Me I'm a cryomancer i specialize in cold weather and temperatures which is the reason i can go outside with no jacket and feel like it's a small breeze. And my other family and friends also have their own power. So don't think about wanting to be that cool superhero you love. Because the power lays within you

This is an important message. Too many people allow feelings to guild decisions, as if how we feel somehow equates to how we should always act, Scripture clearly warns against this.

Amen, I am a music "worship" leader at our church, and am just beginning to see the need for praise & worship songs to have scriptural groundings. The dangers of of much western christianity "worship" music that are built on "presence, mysticism" and pulling at the heart strings makes me fear for our generation and those to come. To tell others that some highly popular worship songs have heretical messages, or promotes poor and simple theology, mindless chanting, or focuses too much on "self", is just asking for a fight in the faith. Many people are more concerned about how they "feel" or how the music "moves" them, than doing the "accurate, critical, specific" things that God requests nor let God do the "moving". Furthermore, so many equate worship to singing and making music, when it's so much more. We worship with our entire being, our lives and everything we think, say and do, and what's most important is our hearts. Thank you Jon for helping so many see a clearer picture of God and our relationship with Him , Keep making God glorifying videos!

It was just yesterday in youth group when I didn´t feel god.
But I realized, that I don´t have to feel god to know he is here.
He showed me in another way, that he was with me and I know that securely.
Feelings can fail us. But god doesn´t.
If it is right content but no feeling it still can be from god.
If it is a great feeling but the content is not gods truth it is probably not from god.
Hope you Understand what I want to say, I´m from Germany and my english is bad.
But yes, this is relevant for me right now.

In essence faith is a verb rather than a noun. Faith is shown through your actions. Keep on keeping on, even when things get rough :-)

Truly, Jesus wants us to focus on Him. Despite our shortcomings and weaknesses, He wants to be the first one to hear them all. He never wants us to figure things out on our own. He wants us to be so dependent on Him that even if we don't feel like it, we choose to run to Him. Even if we're not at the peak of our worship or service to Him. He's so much more than we think. We usually underestimate His love for us that we lose focus on Him, but the more we understand how He loves us the more we get hooked to Him and live to please Him.
I thank God for you Jon! May He anoint you more and more!

this was a great reminder. that no matter what it is that I am going through, I just need to keep my eyes on God. I've been struggling with some things in my life. now this pushes me ,in the right way, to get back to spending time with God.

God is really talking to me through this video. What an awesome message on. I always use to read about faith and finally I understand what it is. FAITH IS FOCUS! GOD is an awesome GOD.
In my fight with false prophets abounding week to week, this is what is missing from all of them as they turn away from the true doctrine. Using Jesus's name in vain while pretending to be His sheep is going to be disastrous beyond my imagination. I already saw through my spiritual gift of prophecy, God's fire descending from Heaven and proceeding with specific burning of people to death and I'm racing against time to pull as many brothers and sisters in Christ who have wandered in the wrong direction with God's help. I do not expect to be successful with all given the amount of stubbornness in the pool of verbal abuse I have already endured and will continue to endure in hopes some will come out and return to Him. I am happy that I listened to this video today. That is pretty much what happened to me. I too my focus off of God and on a girl and my life fell apart and my faith lessened into depression. But now that my focus is on God, things seem better and there's hope for His work in me. He is for us and not against us. God bless you all in Jesus name. Amen

The part about Peter noticing the wind and the waves is so true! I feel like the past 2 months for me have been like that. I know God, I know who I am, but when I notice the "wind and waves" (other people who don't believe, in my case), I sink.
Yes! I'm so excited for this series. So many people use words like faith and love but they have the wrong definition for these words. I'm glad you said you don't always 'feel' like you love your wife but you Choose to love her. A lot of people expect love to be like a fairytale but it's not. Relationships were created so we can help each other, not for our own selfish ambition. Also, I feel a lot of people expect God to be like a genie and just make their life easier/better but that's just not biblical. Becoming a Christian doesn't make your life easier, in fact, we're guaranteed hard times/persecution. The book of job being one of the best examples of that.

I am in love with this. Just short, concise, to the point, gets God's message across whilst not dragging on. Great guy, subscribed immediately
really helpful to remember this because it's so easy to get caught up in how we feel... we can only really deepen our relationship with God and our love for Him when we CHOOSE to be thankful, when we choose to love Him and look to Him over other things/people when we DON'T feel like it. i don't think Jesus died on the cross for us because He 'felt like it'
