Too be fair first stage was more of an introduction to the characters and a set up for the rest of the story and of course with some funny filler moments thrown in to make it extra sweet, 1st stage is the only stage i will go back and rewatch from start to finish.
This series is so underrated, everyone likes the action of other animes and the magic powers and other stupid crap, but I love initial D because all of the characters are just like you and me and are just as awkward and down to earth.

My personal favorites are itsuki saying "behold eight kinds of kick-ass" when the 85 got fitted and when he says that what takumi was saying was "Bitchin'" during the race with the s15
My favourite is one where takumi compared an engine to the brain or when Keisuke was at the fuel station then Takumi was wondering if he was gonna fly with his spoiler.
Most of the time I prefer the original Japanese dialogue but for Initial D I definitely prefer this English dub over the Japanese version. The cast did an amazing job bringing out the personalities of the characters.
