    Ngl watching this back kinda got me thinking since it was a topic a lot of the times for 2020/2021 ss races how they looked a lot like the plate races from 2001, ik this was back when Daytona and Talladega were rough, but it would be pretty neat if NASCAR would do a test just for fun and test out some old ss packages on the modern cars. Like for example ya put the 2000 ss package on the current Cup and/or Xfinity cars or the 2006 Busch ss package on the Xfinity cars (I say 2006 cause if I remember correctly I think they were still using a version of the package that resembles 2000-2002 packages that were being used in Cup and Busch) and see how it goes. Maybe it makes it interesting, maybe it doesn’t, it’d just be fun to play around with.

    See not all races even back then were the not the most exciting throughout the entire race; usually just the finish. So stop complaining when a race is boring; weather there are too many cautions or too few cautions. A race is a race and it is what it is. At least NASCAR had better officials back then; unlike now; and didn’t overly control the race. That’s the main problem not the racing it’s self. I enjoy the racing nowadays in fact.

    Dale Jarrett in 1999 Spring Michigan race he flat out dominated nearly led every lap

  • @mtejada10
    @mtejada10 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This is actually had early plate racing came. Before the caution came where sr eventually cut a tire in the 90 500, he led by almost a lap

  • @stevenwalker9013
    @stevenwalker9013 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I still think nascar thru the caution for imaginary debris because he was fixing to lap the other contenders if the caution doesn’t come. He was something like 15 seconds ahead of 2nd at a plate race! Incredible

    The new rule of 5 races for each driver is worse than the old rule, the old rule made to where all the races were competitive and it was a bigger deal when a nationwide driver won, the new rule just says Kyle Busch is winning 5 races per year

    I know he dint win a cup championship so his haters gonna use that against him minus the fact he is literally a two time Busch series champion and look at his career he has 26 cup wins and 24 Busch series wins the first rookie to win the all star race first driver to sweep a weekend at Bristol 4 straight wins at Talladega 2 time Daytona 500 champion and is tied with a NASCAR hall of fame member Fred Lorenzo for 31 all teams so dale jr Is literally one of top 30 drivers of all time sure he might not of been his dad but dale jr is a big part of this sport himself
