Ngl watching this back kinda got me thinking since it was a topic a lot of the times for 2020/2021 ss races how they looked a lot like the plate races from 2001, ik this was back when Daytona and Talladega were rough, but it would be pretty neat if NASCAR would do a test just for fun and test out some old ss packages on the modern cars. Like for example ya put the 2000 ss package on the current Cup and/or Xfinity cars or the 2006 Busch ss package on the Xfinity cars (I say 2006 cause if I remember correctly I think they were still using a version of the package that resembles 2000-2002 packages that were being used in Cup and Busch) and see how it goes. Maybe it makes it interesting, maybe it doesn’t, it’d just be fun to play around with.
Dale Jr's last win at Michigan, to me was the most dominant race performances by a team, they were clicking on all 8 cylinders that day! They lead 95 laps, but it was the way the team seem to react to whatever the track presented!
Technically true, but that's also because the restrictor plates they used for that race gave them no power out of the corners and made it extremely difficult to pass.
