For me the best part of flying is when you’re taking of and you’re moving so fast and the engine roar is amazing and then you’re in the sky

Take off is amazing, that point where those engines roar and you speed down that runway, I can remember my first flight when I was a kid, saying to mom "we're not going very fast", she just said "wait until we get to the runway"

Yes,you do get pinned back in your seat before take off but you also get pinned back on landing too because of the deceleration.

3:34 That's the spot. Pre-corona, I used to hear this sound about 20 times a year. Still it was my most favorite sound in the world. The sound of a new adventure. Now it's been 4 months since my last flight and I miss the feeling of taking off so fucking bad!

Scary as hell. I pray I will be safe every time I take off. Have been on hundreds of flights without any incident apart from bad turbulence a couple of times but still get scared. Get really nervous every time the plane lines up on the runway and the engines roar. Having said that, once we’re cruising I love flying 😆
The chance of engines letting you down is 1 in a billion. They are insanely reliable, much more than even other parts of the aircraft and stuff. That’s why even parents with young children decide to fly.
Also yes it’s like a roller coaster, there is anticipation of aggressive thrust

Best parts: t/o and landing. I can't stand to keep reminding myself I'm 30,000+ feet up, of course it looks slow when you look down. Once you lose that point of reference, then you really realize just how powerful the engines are. A small reduce in power is like slamming your car brakes. So beautiful flying. A experience everyone must try once
Can confirm, flying was great. What i found interesting is that the plane was a lot more like a bus than a spacious business class amtrak. Takeoff was also fast and the plane is loud even 30000 feet in the air.
I watched this video to get over my fear going on a plane fir the first time in August and was really scared this has made me go over that fear

Here's a list of things more likely to happen to you than dying in a plane crash. Becoming president / Prime Minister of your country. Winning Olympic gold. Winning the lottery. Being killed by a shark. Being killed by a Rhino. Being killed by tripping on the ground. Falling out of bed and dying. The odds of dying in a plane crash is around 1/10,000,000. I personally think flying is extremely enjoyable. I guarantee you'll be fine and you'll have a great flight

Flying is fun. Trust me. I’m here for the same reason though. I’ve been on many flights before but I’ve been dealing with some anxiety issues this year and this is my first time abroad in a while. This has helped me though
Often times when i fly, we will hit turbulence and everyone would get scared like mad but i stayed so calm and i thought of it as an adventure. I love taking off and hearing the roar of the engines as you zoom down the runway.

Honestly i wanna be cabin crew 👨✈️ honestly for your first few times you start flying it will be super scary i passed out once because i was super nervous and scared but now i wanna be cabin crew as am not scared of it anymore and now am starting to go on holiday abroad with friends now its honestly so safe and the pilots have lots of experience you will like flying one day i thought i was never gunna like flying but honestly now it doesnt bother me

Man I'm going to Germany in 3 weeks and cant wait to feel takeoff again. Such an emotional roller coaster.... Literally. Your stomach is always dropping and you're pushed back into your seat. I remember saying "wow this is fast" first time I flew lol. I was laughing the whole takeoff

I had my first flight just last year in December. Felt like I was a jet pilot and I loved the feeling of the g force.
I haven't been on a airplane since I was little. And when I was brave. I just hope next year, when I go on a plane, I'll still be brave.

I’ve been searching through loads of “plane taking off” videos to listen to the roaring of the engines as this is what causes me to panic. I thought if I keep listening to it as much as possible before my flight next week I might get used to it and it may not scare me as much as it usually does! (Wishful thinking?!)

CFM - 56 Engines.. Probably the most widely used engine at the moment. Smaller Airbus and the 737. Good piece of kit
Probably V2500's since they have the buzzsaw sound.

I'm always amazed by how fast modern planes fight gravity. In just a few seconds 70+ tons of plane is looking down on tiny houses and fields.
Crazy to think about, even for a pilot who knows how it works!

dont you hate that feeling when you’re high up in the air and the engines suddenly rev down a bit and makes you go WHY DID THE ENGINES REV DOWN WHATS HAPPENING???
That’s simply a transition from takeoff thrust to climb thrust and is completely routine. You wouldn’t want the engines buzzing for the whole flight, would you?
That noise is the scariest bit for me, I don't care how normal it is, it doesn't sound like it should be happening 😂

I was on this flight and it went amazing the easyJet A330 is so good I swear
I'm going on my first flight tomorrow, Philadelphia to Jacksonville. I am nervous, but excited. I'm afraid of heights, but have done height related stuff, climbing beehive in acadia park, done an adventure ropes course and stood on the end of kinzua bridge in PA. Although for some reason, planes make me nervous... it seems so high up. I've been ruminating and obsessing watching videos and i'm sure I'll be fine, but I feel like i'm preparing myself for death here....
The 1st time I’ve ever been on a plane was in 2022. My sis (Aurora) got too scared and I did too. It was going super fast that I said: “HOLY SHIIIT!”
And we flew to this island in Spain called Mallorca!

@@greatflyer_aviation It must be said then that you have been most unfortunate. As with any airline, inconveniences do and will occur. Don’t let your feelings be directed exclusively to Easy Jet, their fares keep most other fares low. They are strict about grabbing early take off slots wherever possible and so it is essential you keep updated before departures.

I love the 777-300er the most cuss it has the beautiful ge90 engine 11.5b it’s I was acctully going to my country by emirates really good airline one year later from Edinburgh airport I took the airbus a350-900xwb by Qatar airways to Doha

Thanks! Have a pleasant flight! (BTW I have used Easyjet myself from Paris to Geneva, then from there to Gatwick a week later. I was harassed by the staff in Geneva terminal... and embarrassed, because my luggage was within one silly centimetre too large and they tried to charge me an extra CHF 30! I was rather quite loudly pissed, and they finally relented and did not charge me the CHF 30!! Otherwise the flight was nice).
Guys, I had the WORST Aerophobia which no one here could compare with me, but I went to Stockholm two weeks ago with a plane on a 2.5-hour flight and this is my experience. I know what kind of fear is this and how terrible is, so this is my experience and my tips. On the day when I was flying, there was a rainy storm for days in my country and winds. In some moments, I was so anxious and I was thinking a few times about canceling the flight. I had that ''luck'' that when the plane took off, turbulence started to occur, and halfway to Sweden, the plane was shaking and was going up and down nonstop. Even before I entered the plane, my heart was beating strong, and I had strong fear. Especially when I sit on the seat and the plane started to taxi on the runway and prepared for take off. Now the most important question: HOW I DEFEATED MY AEROPHOBIA? 1. There is a Latin quote saying: ,,Amat victoria Curam'' - ,,The victory loves preparation''. Therefore, some 2 months before the flight, I watched every day videos of take-offs like this one here. I watched them for hours, even when I was at work. So, I was preparing for 2 months mentally. 2. I make it clear. How much I will miss in life if I don't defeat my Aerophobia now? The answer was - a lot. I know that if I hadn't taken that flight, I would be so sad when I will be 90 years old (by God's grace) that I was a coward when I was young. 3. Most importantly: I was praying. I'm an Orthodox Christian and I was reading nonstop: Psalm 26 (or 27): ,,The Lord is my light and Salvation...'', then Psalm 50 (or 51): ,,Have mercy on me, o God...'', and Psalm 90 (or 91): ,,Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High...''. I read this Psalms the day before the flight and before the flight itself. I also prayed before, during and after the flight to my Lord Jesus Christ, and on the back home too. To be honest, once again, I had fear, since I experienced strong turbulences (you can just imagine what it looks like for the first time flying and having aerophobia), but God gave me the courage and I made it. On the flight back home, I had no fear at all and the flight was smooth and normal. It is an amazing experience and I believe that if I could do it, you can do it too. Just prepare mentally weeks before the flight, ask for support from people who have been somewhere with a plane, and pray a lot. You will be the ultimate winner in the end. I will end my post here with the quote: ,,For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you” -Isaiah 41:13
