You can also scan in a Pokemon during battle. While in the middle of a battle, place a figure other than the ones being used by players or AI onto the gamepad and a giant version of that Pokemon will enter the battle and assist for a few seconds. You can do this once for each figure you have during the battle.

The game will start to delete the weakest Pokemon you have when you get to a certain amount. If you make a Pokemon your favorite, like the Keldeo in the beginning of the game, then they will never be deleted. To favorite a Pokemon, press the X button when selecting Pokemon before entering a stage.
