    Tbh feel like the low end is a bit hollow. To each their own of course. There's definitely a thickness and a bit of a sub-rumble but feel like it's lacking a bit of maybe 85Hz-ish? Dunno, could also be the hpf on the master, but it sounds like the there's something missing in the 50-115Hz range

    about exciter, why exiting 2khz region? I thought it should be somewhere at 9khz to boost the top end or so. Also I`d like to see how you balance instruments volume (faders) to each other, I`ve got a problem with it, some people always complain they don`t hear some instruments well enough but it`s fine on my monitors and such

    • @resington
      @resington  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Download the template and you can see my levels for the tracks. But honestly just reference mix. Find a mix you like and match levels as best you can do that. You'll learn fast.

    Awesome! And yeah, I'd love to see how you treat your vocals.
    Question: I use amp sims and usually record metal. On my rhythm guitars I usually have this problem (listening to full mix) where I'm hearing the distortion/saturation but the actual note is not that audible. I'm not even using a lot of gain! I have no idea how to fix this. That fact that I'm on single coils might be the root cause but I was wondering if there is a way to fix it in the DAW as I'm not in a position where I can simply just buy another guitar or a set of humbuckers.

    • @resington
      @resington  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man and yeaa single coils will not have the note definition of humbuckers. If you can save some cash for say an artec hot rail. Or some other single coil sized humbucker. That wud greatly improve the tone. In the meantime try boosting Mids and cutting highs.
