Thank you for saving the dog I'm a security guard and I would have never been rude like that.
I have been doing security for 28 years and have never said anything like that to anyone. 22 of those years in healthcare where parking is always an issue. I would let any animal rescue park where ever they wanted until the animals is safe. I have found animals and taken them inside until the owner has picked them up. I would hope that management wouldn't mind, but then again it doesn't matter to me as long as the animal is safe.

That security guard could have definitely got his point across a lot more politey and even helped him find a spot to put the car so he could get the dog.

The car being parked on the sidewalk wasn't hurting anyone. Security guard needs to get off his power trip and ask how he could help. The dog ran cause security guard gave him bad vibes. Anyway, Hope for Paws, you all are amazing people. Thank you for taking care of all animals no matter what. 🤗☮️

Plush Cinema Trouble is that security guard was already over the top with combative attitude so to mirror and amplify it would guarantee a very unpleasant confrontation which would in no way help the poor dog.
Eldad stayed focused on the real issue. Getting the dog to safety. Took a couple of minutes longer but didn’t waste time on a bully.

I’m really glad you got this little angel pup. It was pretty clear he wanted to be rescued. He was just confused, nervous, and on guard. His survival instincts had kicked in to keep him alive and he adopted the tactics of a wild/feral animal to stay alive; but I knew he wanted to be friendly because he showed obvious interest in all the people. Pretty sad because I bet he’d been somebody’s faithful pet at one time. He would have run far away from you and not stayed in your presence had he been unsocialized.

Sorry but it really did sound like Eldad was trying to make excuses to not move the car. The guy says he has to move it and Eldad just responds with 'we're animal rescue' as if that's going to excuse him from the law. The guard was right. You can't just park on the pavement like that. It obstructs emergency services and blocks the path for disabled people - and it's a fire hazard. Plus, there were clearly barriers in place for a reason. I suspect that manhole isn't correctly fitted. Moving the barriers could have had real consequences. 'I was saving a dog' just doesn't cut it.
I never stops amazing me how much love you have to give, Eldad. You are god's gift to the animal world. Wish there were more men like you.

What a gorgeous dog - so happy that Eldad and the team could rescue Maxwell. He was so very scared and then look at those beautiful soulful eyes when he was getting washed and dried. Just melts your heart. Then his waggly tail and rolling over for Eldad to rub his belly. What a softee he really is. A big MWAH!!

This dog was so sweet. He was just so nervous. Looks kinda like my dog. I have a schnoodle (schnauzer poodle mix). Very sweet, active, loyal dogs. They’re characters. She was also nervous and a little aloof when we first got her. Like maxwell was at first.

There was no reason for the security guard to say what he said in that rude manner. Seems like he should learn some patience and kindness. I wonder how he speaks to students, probably even worse than he does on here. He could’ve very easily said please move your car and then thank the driver for complying. Voila!

That's a very good point. But the sad thing is, this security guard didn't seem to care about the dog at all, or the fact that these people from Hope for Paws were struggling to safely rescue him. It's like the whole situation didn't even matter to the guard. So sad to see that kind of insincerity from a law enforcement figure.

Maxwell is such a beauty! Thanks for saving him and all the others. In my city, we can have four pets. I have my four, three of whom are delightful rescues. My other guy is delightful too. The dogs are now 14, 10, 7 and 4. Love to all!
For those saying the security guy was just doing his job sorry but his attitude was terrible, I've had to stop people sometimes from parking in a certain place for needing an area clear for other purposes but never would speak to the public like that, whats wrong with a certain basic polite "Sorry Sir I appreciate what your doing but rules are rules" not "you aren't above the law".

We just rescued another kitten, it was in our garage. It is currently on our porch, it's so lovey, but it tries to escape it's crate when I give it food. More updates tomorrow, send prayers.

My take on the pathetic security guard. One in twenty-five is a sociopath totally lacking inscruples, compassion or conscience. They find a myriad of ways to make it difficult for other, either humans or animals. Thank you once again for saving that beautiful fluff.

If you were a paramedic parking to tend to a student or staff member there would have been no issue with you parking where you did, Why is animal rescue any different?! You were trying to save a life, I don't get how that power tripping security guard could be so rude, If nothing else offer up a time limit, give 30 minutes and if you have not been successful then you need to move the car. Have some compassion dude, The staff at Hope for paws are extraordinary human beings who would stop at nothing to help you if your beloved pet was in danger!!!😑

The Parking Lot Policeman was a complete A-Hole. That is exactly the sort of clown who shouldn't become any type of Law Officer. He would be a problem waiting to happen for the public.
