Leasha Yeah it's so heartbreaking to see that most humans treat like shit those pure beings and they can't defend theirselves enought. We are not better than them they deserve a lot more than us
Leasha, that is absolutely true, I see it every time in the HFP videos. You could see the exact moment that Ralph relaxed and realised that he was safe and secure. Amazing. Just amazing :) x
Those moments Eldad spent with Ralph by the brick wall at the vet's are some of the most poignant and heartwarming I have ever seen. Thank you for what you do.
If you think about it, humans and dogs are EXACTLY the same. We are as a species SO SCARED of each other. When we show each other love, it’s the same as Ralph’s reaction. The major difference is that dogs know what love is. Unfortunately, humans don’t.
So beautiful. I have noticed that with other rescues. They really are starving for affection but at the same time they have had to have their defenses up while on their own or while being abused. He finally had someone he could trust.
I went through this with one abused rescue and it nearly broke me. Eldad does this for a living and deserves some kind of medal for his courage, love and patience.
You can literally see the exact moment he started trusting you. His eyes showed relief. You are the best Eldad! I'm so glad he gets to be a dog again. Thank you for all you do for animals.
@Mike Urashevich you tried turning this into a trump thing, and lost, just like you will in 2020, Im canadian and I can see the writing on the wall, from the outside looking in....trump derangement syndrome is a real thing, you should seek help.
05:48 made me cry: when his face expression showed that all his aggression was deep sadness and that being pet is both painful and beautiful for him... 💔😢
It made me tear up too 😢 you could see Ralph also was getting wet eyes, I bet he was remembering when he was actually treated well instead of being abused and forgotten 😭
I cried too when I saw his eyes looking at the volunteer. I could feel how hurting it was for him. Dogs are simple, and they need to be loved and cared, and they will put all their trust in you.
holy moly. got to the part you're talking about. powerful. :( I'll be hugging my 3 later when I'm home. they all come from various situations of abuse but are now treated as family members. I hate to think of any of them being this angry. too see that new trust forming in him is tough to watch without tearing up.
Wow! I’ve watched nearly all of your rescues, Eldad, but this one - watching that hyper-tense, frightened dog - start to close his eyes and very slightly relax (when you were still using the blue rag) was truly amazing and extremely moving! Just an incredible moment! Again, a very sincere, heart-felt “thank you” to you and your staff. 🇨🇦
I love that final picture of him being held in his Mama's arms! He looks so very happy, content, and loved! it was all worth it. this is why no dog or cat should be given up on. All they need is Love!
my goodness you could see the change in his expression when he actually allowed him to pet him with the blanket. It looked like he was waiting for that for a long while! So sweet
Fatima Ventura thats true why would ppl get dogs and abuse them thats not cool i feel very bad for all the dogs who go thrugh that and every other animal
His tail said everything. At first he is full of scared but when his second chance appeared his tail looks so happy. I am so proud of you, knowing that you exist, makes me think that there is some angels in the earth.
Watched this again. I can't stop crying. His face - those eyes as he started remembering how it felt to be loved broke my heart for every abused, neglected, abandoned, unloved, scared and sad dog out there... any animal. But a flood of tears for Ralph.
Oh these tiny brave angels just touch my soul. Watching them finally feel safe and letting love in is JUST SO HEALING for my broken heart. Thank you Eldad! Loreta, Joanne, and all the other amazing team members: MWAH & ANGEL WING HUGS to you all!
The moment Ralph got that far off look and remembered love, kindness, better times, he missed it, his expression was so universal, surrender, relief, maybe this is okay... then Eldad surprised him with a real hand touch and Ralph knew the bad times were over for good.❤
I can no longer watch the beginnings of these videos, as they are just too heartbreaking. I just fast forward to where the dog has been rescued and doing well. Thank you for rescuing all of these angels.
Quel changement ! Un chien agréable et attachant. Un autre sauvetage réussi. Quelle patience ! Vous donnez beaucoup, mais vous recevez deux fois plus. Bravo pour l'excellent travail que vous fournissez !
That's true. Some people seem to forget that dogs are very social animals by nature, and dogs like this one who've become hardened from abuse and loneliness must feel like they've gone to heaven when they realize they've found someone who cares and will help them.
All Ralph needed was someone who would love him and be his pal! God bless you Ralph and your forever family ! Love can go a long way ! Thanks to Hope for Paws !
He.was fighting...No place to run. He's terrified and so sad looking. After awhile he gives up but still frightened. Then...He surrenders to human touch and how good it feels.such a loving
Omg same but I known them for a while now on youtube. But i only recently started to watch them. Because I thought it would upset me to much. But every single story has a wonderful ending. I say to myself this is the last one now then I see another one and have to keep watching 🤣❤
Eldad, you are an awesome human being. Thank you for your patience and kindness towards these abandoned animals and allowing them a new and better life. God bless you and those who work with you!
you inspired me alot and when my dog acts agressive to me and other dogs i know how to touch him without biting me and now his all loving and cuddling with me
A couple months ago there was a black and brown dog wandering around our yard. She had a collar but I wanted to keep her. But we called her owners and it turns out their dog escaped. I feal so good bringing back their dog. And I wanna be a vet or work in a no kill animal shelter when I grow up. :3 And watching these videos makes me want to do it even more.
+Millie Chen one time a pregnant cat had kittens under our porch and we fed them as long as they where there but when they where there the kittens would pile up on each other and stay there all day
You can tell hes been through a lot to be very fearful of humans. Poor baby, thank you for saving him and taking y ur time to save this poor little pup🙌🏻
Once again it is proved that LOVE BEATS HATE... Thankyou Eldad and all your staff...patience is indeed a virtue with rewards. Whoever hurt Ralph so, I cannot voice my opinion. But ..
I hope many companies and people donate to help with your mission and hire more people to save animals. This is so needed in this world. God bless you ALL.
Eldad knows: Anger or aggressiveness is usually fear, And perfect love casts out or wins over fear. Hope for Paws always has been showing and having unconditional love and it melts away all that heart wrenching fear these poor puppies have through whatever they havebeen through.💝💝💝
@Steve A People like you do not understand about having a rescue animal it been to a lot the lives have been change they not homeless anymore you But you don't understand it so many animals out here have been tossed out on the street but people don't hear how they live or die but you don't understand it
Thanks for helping this little guy, and giving him love. That moment where he realizes that not all human hands are there to hurt him was truly heartwarming.
This was so incredibly beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing. I just recently had to do the exact same thing with a feral juvenile cat that's been hanging around my house, and let me tell you, even though she had never had human contact before, or the only humans she knew were mean to her, she is now one of the sweetest, most grateful little cats I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and she licks my hands and face to thank me for saving her every day. Never give up on animals, because once you win them over, they will be grateful to you for the rest of their little lives.
You're right all animals have feelings as well dog cannot scream and ask for help but we can so sometimes we need to sacrifice. Because a life is worth a life too. For us there age is like only up to 5-10 years but for them its like 50+ their time is worthing so much for them. Make their life the best. And if someone can't change the world alone let's help together. Their not toys and think what do they feel and think if you're in their position
I know this is an older video, but I love it. You can see the very moment when Ralph's demeanor changed and he decided that maybe, just maybe, THESE humans weren't going to hurt him after all...and then he became a whole different dog. Thank you for saving him, and being patient enough to allow him to reach that point
Oh my gosh!! Tears... so touching.. that poor little guy.. the hell he must have endured at the hands of humans.. So glad he found love and gentle hands. Thank You Eldad.. You are amazing!
You do a brilliant job and it makes so glad there are People like you about I have always had Rescue Dogs my Gissi passed away 3 months ago it broke my heart, he was a rescue dog it took me 3 Years to teach him he can trust People around us that I will never let anyone hurt him again, no age or history on the boy as he was found on the street half beaten to death he gave me 9 happy years a lot of Health issues but he was worth every penny ...........keep up the great work
Seeing that exact moment where he suddenly realized that the touch -even if it was just the towel at first- was comforting, leading to a total acceptance of the pleasure from being petted gently and lovingly was *sigh* so beautiful!
He had to fight to live that’s why he was like that..poor baby he found his love and attention and care he desperately needed.. thank you kind caring and very patient people. 💕
Just seeing this one 7 years later. It's interesting your learning process in the seven years. The one that did not change is you love of the animals and your drive to see them taken care of. Respect.
i have watched this video before, but still love it!! when you first rub his head and it closes his eyes--like he wants to trust you but he is still not sure!! but finally he gives in--wonderful dog!!
I had to chuckle at the beginning when you were trying to trick him to get the leash on. He's like "put the damn leash away and just give me the cheeseburger." Your patience and dedication paid off, what a beautiful transformation. :-)
I chuckled when he firstly backed out of the trap like NOPE NOT FALLING FOR THAT. He kept his back legs out so he could not be trapped , smart dog. Glad to know he's better now.
I love that you give the dogs more than one chance not to bite because if there's been one negative interaction with a human hand it takes more than once to undo the defensive reaction the dog learns to combat against it. Thank you!
It took patience and time...when all you know is survival and negative experiences along the way, trust becomes a foreign concept. Kindness removes all hesitancy. How beautiful the moments of calm and peace as he begun to realise that it is OK.
This is still one of my favorite hfp videos --- the music, the story, the setting, and of course the unforgettable little dog's spirit. I hope he had a great life.
You can see what poor Ralph is thinking while he is being petted with the blanket: 5:00 No! Stay away! 5:31 It's not hurting... 5:45 You won't hurt me? Really? 5:54 No! It's a trick! 5:57 So gentle... 6:07 Please be real.
You can see the second the dog decides to trust :( These things are so sad. I wish every human had a pet that they loved more than anything. Animals deserve better
It's amazing how quickly animals can forgive humans for abusing them and neglecting them. Truely beautiful angels
Leasha Yeah it's so heartbreaking to see that most humans treat like shit those pure beings and they can't defend theirselves enought. We are not better than them they deserve a lot more than us
They know it's a different person I reckon. I don't think they forgive so easily, this is more of a case of learning trust again with someone new.
Leasha, that is absolutely true, I see it every time in the HFP videos. You could see the exact moment that Ralph relaxed and realised that he was safe and secure. Amazing. Just amazing :) x

Unlike human's...animals live in the moment.
I loved that moment when he relaxed and enjoyed the human touch, realizing that he is finally safe and no one is going to hurt him.
Those moments Eldad spent with Ralph by the brick wall at the vet's are some of the most poignant and heartwarming I have ever seen. Thank you for what you do.
That moment when he finally trusted Eldad. My God, what an incredible moment to capture on camera. So beautiful, so touching. Eldad, you are an angel.
I love how he was so scared but then when he was getting petted for the first time he closed his eyes like he was thinking "finally..."
It's that moment of realisation that not all humans are assholes :)
If you think about it, humans and dogs are EXACTLY the same. We are as a species SO SCARED of each other. When we show each other love, it’s the same as Ralph’s reaction. The major difference is that dogs know what love is. Unfortunately, humans don’t.
"finally... some good freaking pets."
So beautiful. I have noticed that with other rescues. They really are starving for affection but at the same time they have had to have their defenses up while on their own or while being abused. He finally had someone he could trust.

8 years later and watching Ralph still makes me cry, literally. I just don't understand how someone can abuse such a cute little man.
A biter i couldn't trust
@@jeanettekozloski8617 He was biting out of fear, not real aggression.
Humans give them pain, but when they see love from us they forgive us and start to trust us again, what wonderful creatures far far better than humans
forgive and trust again! give others a chance! humans should learn from this dog lol
well you're wrong. Dogs are capable of very nasty things too. They can kill and eat their own puppies for example and they can kill human babies too

barzinio92 No its only because their mad and because they've been abused

@Mike Urashevich 🤣 last call
So glad Little Ralph found a loving forever home!!
Omg the look in his eyes when he started to pet him with his hands...you could see it dawning on him that being touched is actually nice!!!
Lovely to see that transition from agitation and aggression to recognising that you're not a threat and beginning enjoy being pet.
That moment when they realise the touching is good. It gets me every time.
Me too. The sadness in the eye's as if crying, while accepting what should always have been given to them. Heart breaking.

Why would they thank him? They don't care, if they did, they wouldn't abuse animals!

i can't stop crying watching these videos. You people are doing such a good job!
You all are so patient with these sweet babies
