Dog with an embedded collar lived under a car with another dog and a cat. 😰

- Someone put a string around Mickey's neck when he was a puppy, and as he grew, the string got embedded deeper and deeper in his flesh. 😰
I was told that Mickey had a friend, Minnie. When I arrived at the rescue location in Central California, I was approached my Mortimer, a cat who lived under a car alongside Mickey and Minnie. Luckily, I always carry an extra trap for cats - just in case I come across a cat in need, and Mortimer definitely seemed sick to me. (I suspected FIV, and sadly, I was correct).
Mickey was really nervous, so I knew I must capture him first. He was very scared of people, and it took a while until I was able to get him exactly where I wanted him. (You will have to watch the video to see how that worked).
Next up it was Minnie who was also nervous, but she really liked my cheeseburger. After I secured her, she freaked out! Minnie probably never had a leash around her, so she panicked!
While dealing with Minnie, Mortimer grabbed my cheeseburger, and that was not good because now he had no reason to walk into my trap. I used a very unusual method to get him, and I am very lucky I didn't get injured!
After the rescue, I had a long drive to CARES. The doctor had already left for the day after a long day of surgeries, but she came back for Mickey.
Rescues like this require long drives, time, patience, improvisation, and a lot of money for medical care. When you donate to Hope For Paws, you have a part in every one of these rescues!!! We want to do more, but we need to grow our team of supporters. Please join us today with a small recurring donation here: www.HopeForPaw...
Our friends at Maison Sûre offered to foster Mickey and Minnie until we can find them a loving forever home! To apply to adopt this beautiful couple, please visit: www.MaisonSure...
Our friends at Sante D'Or offered to foster Mortimer in a home with another cat with FIV. It is important to note that cats with Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) can live a long and healthy life, often comparable to that of an uninfected cat. Many FIV-positive cats live for many years, sometimes even their full natural lifespan, especially if they receive good care, including regular veterinary check-ups, a balanced diet, and being kept indoors to minimize the risk of infections. With proper management, the quality of life for an FIV-positive cat can remain high for many years.
If you would like to adopt Mortimer, please visit them at: www.SanteDOr.org
Thank you so much for watching our video until the end - the footage there is so special - a true lovestory.

Eldad
Not one, not two, but three animals helped off the street. That’s always good to see. Can’t imagine the relief Mickey felt when that string was finally cut off his neck. I’m super glad I’ve found you guys and followed you for typhus long. Knowing there are people like you out there just makes the days just a bit easier to get through.
❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This man did this ALONE in 106 degree F heat! One guy helped him lift the into the car (God bless him) but Eldad did the 3-critter rescue himself. The man must have a big S on his chest that we cannot see...because he is SUPERMAN. Thank you, Eldad. My favorite superhero.
The look on their face when they're caught, but oh the joy when they find themselves somewhere so much better ...... Thank you !!
Priceless, utterly priceless!
Sjakfd😂hd😮😢f😂😂😂😂😅❤❤
The dogs have to be adopted together. They love and need each other.
And together with Mortimer, it's a big friendship!
I would adopt all three of them together.
@@latonyanewsome0 Please apply to adopt them then.
It infuriates me no end when people put a string or wire around a dog's neck. Thank you for rescuing these sweet babies 🐶🐈🐶😊
Where I work there a group of drug addicts that live behind my job it’s separated by a parking lot and then a field these people get a pet then just release I know it’s them they recently let a kitten go so I’m sick of it I called the cops and animal control they went there and found three German shepherd’s in poor condition why would you keep getting animals that you can’t care for them just dump a living creature this cat was skin and bones I took her she went into heat before I could get her fixed and she pushed through the screen and ran off luckily my neighbor found her and asked to keep her because she is a super friendly love bug
Thank goodness she was found, and is safe in a forever home!
@@charlesanastasia7574 - Thank you so much for helping those poor animals. The reason many homeless people get an animal (honestly, the word 'steal' is more appropriate than 'get') is because they receive far more money when they panhandle if they have an animal with them. It's sadly ironic because clueless people give them extra money to help the animal, but all that does is perpetuate a cycle of abuse. They steal the kitten, receive more money because of the kitten, then as the kitten inevitably gets sick, they dump it and steal another. :(
That wound must have really hurt. Please adopt the 2 dogs together.
I dont understand that either. Its so thoughtless.
THANK YOU FOR RESCUING THEM, NURSING THEM BACK TO HEALTH, AND GIVING THEM A BETTER LIFE!!!
After all these years I still love to watch Eldad rescue animals. Thank you for the many years of rescuing.
You all are absolutely incredible! Thank you Eldad for rescuing these 3 & I hope they get adopted soon! It's my pleasure to support you!!😊❤
Eldad, the fact that you caught 2 scared dogs and 1 scared cat in 106 degree weather proves you are a super hero !! I will donate a bit more because I can and it is just wonderful to see Mortimer being helped and Mickey with his Minniw...Mickey would have died and I believe Mortimer would have also. My guess, all.three were abandoned. My heart is full of joy for this rescue. ❤ I cannot imagine ever abandoning my pets😢never
That was my thought too, they were someone's pets. The is too docile to be feral.
What a fantastic Doctor. Came back for the animals.
I've had to take my scragglepuss to the after hour vet twice, and yes I paid through the teeth for it, but the fact that someone who's never met my cat is willing to get out of bed to save his life... ❤
Last visit he was NOT AMUSED and made noises I've never heard out of a cat in my life when I opened his cage (which was covered in red caution tape). Booped his nose so he caught my scent and he immediately melted into the giant sook that I know, and crawled into my arms (the look on the vet's face was utter shock, scrags had been CRANKY)
Kudos to that vet, and the one that helped mickey and Co x
Hope the pups get adopted together. They're definitely a bonded pair.
Also Mortimer is beautiful! Hope he gets his forever home too!
I hope Mortimer gets a home, too. ❤❤
Right after his neuter tomorrow 🙂
Eldad is kindness, patience and love to these animals who need help. Thank you, good man. May Mortimer, Mickey and Minnie all get well and have good lives in their loving homes.
Can’t believe u did this rescue all by yourself!!! You got skills Eldad.
I usually don't cry, but seeing Minnie so worried over Mickey got the damn waterworks going!!!
Same here!
Three needy, scared sweeties all by yourself. Beautiful ❤
Thank you so much, Eldad, for saving Mickey, Minnie and Mortimer. Precious little souls who deserve the absolute best, which includes being adopted into their forever home together. But if that's not possible, at least Mickey and Minnie should remain a pair. Remarkable how playful and spirited they are in the final scenes. And Mortimer has a wonderful purr which shows he know he's loved. God bless!
Hello Monique. I’m glad you enjoyed this rescue. They will all have an amazing life moving forward. Mickey and Minnie are now too hyper for Mortimer and he needs a relaxing life now so he can stay healthy. He will be neutered today and will go home. ❤
@@hopeforpaws So glad to hear Mortimer is on the mend. All the best to everyone.
Mortimer's sounds broke my heart... So happy those three are safe now. Thank you for everything. Donation is on the way.
When feral cats are really scared, they can make some awful (heart wrenching) primitive type sounds:(
@@franceslarsen4037 He turned out too tame to be truly feral, I think the three unlikely buds were dumped by a hateful human long ago.
@@CharGC123 My thoughts too. I've been rescuing cats for 40 years. I have one ex-feral as part of my family. Feral cats often don't meow as that's a sound they use to their mothers and lose as they get older whereas domestic born cats keep the meow for us humans. Our ex-feral, Oscar is only now 2 years after we caught him starting to give little squeaks at feeding time. He will eventually learn to meow for our attention. It's a shame that Mortimer is FIV positive but in the right home with the right care can expect to live a normal life expectancy. I've heard of FIV cats live into their 20s. All three are beautiful animals and I hope the two dogs are homed together and maybe whoever adopts them will want their cat friend too. That would be the most wonderful thing that could happen.
@@CharGC123 Oh wow, that could be since they seemed kind of bonded, I am so relieved they are not going to suffer like that anymore! I started feeding feral colonies in 99, and as much trapping/spay neutering as I was able to, so I remember hearing alot of those type fearful "wails" that they do - and I found out, like you say - alot of them end up becoming quite tame, there was such a wide spectrum of what "feral" could mean, even some of the ones who never had a home showed quite a capability of becoming affectionate! (But if they truly had a feral background, they could revert when an unexpected person or situation arose:((
❤❤❤❤
Hitting the lottery in saving three precious lives! Way to go, Eldad! Huge blessings to you and Hope For Paws! Always rescue, foster, adopt! 💕
The lengths you go to save them is admirable. Thank u for your dedication to saving these poor, defenseless animals. ❤️❤️
Now, that's a definate "3-fur" ... you are truly AMAZING! 3 more strays saved under your watchful care!
You are amazing. Thank you so much NYC one ❤️ to you all 🙏🙏
I hope they can be adopted together. The love those two doggies have for each other is just beautiful. The cat also.
THANK YOU for rescuing those precious animals....Mickey was acutely suffering and needed an angel
Eldad you are an angel who saves other angels. Thank you for all you do. Greetings from Italy.
Heartbreaking to watch the fear but wonderful they're safe now. Thanks HFP.
Dear Eldad first of all I would like to congratulate you on the successful rescue of not one but three animals and all by yourself. Your experience, knowledge and sensitivity are apparent. Thank you for all you do. I would also like to sing the high praises for the CARES team. I hope all three animals are adopted soon. ❤
Thank you for showing and explaining the wounds and healing process for these animals. It help watchers understand how donations are needed.
It's so impressive what one rescuer, by himself, can accomplish with animals who resist capture. Nice to see a kind neighbor help load the vehicle at the end. Bravo!
I love watching you rescue these poor babies. You are so patient and plotting, always trying the best way and careful strategies to help these poor babies. Thank you.
Yeah, that cat is not ok. Thank you for helping all of them. ❤❤❤
thank you very much, kind people, good health to you and your children, long life, thank you.❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Thank you, Eldad!
I hope Mickey and Minnie will be adopted together: they're very bonded! Bless you for your kindness and hard work! (I know that part of California: very, very hot in the summer!)
Yes it is a must ❤❤❤ I also think Mortimer is bonded with them and it would be nice if he was adopted together with them as well if possible
And together with Mortimer!
Wow, 3 in 1 rescue. Good job. I hope Minnie and Mickey get adopted together.
Since they were all so tight with each other, especially unlikely for the cat, I suspect some scumbag owner dumped them all together. Such a traumatic but wonderful rescue by these angels.
Eldad, you are a miracle worker! Putting up those fences and capturing those pups was amazing! And the cat too! I sure hope Mickey and Minnie get adopted together->that would be so great🩷💙Bless you and thank you ALL for taking such great care of those beautiful animals🙏🏻
Thank you, thank you 😊🙏
I really hope many people will share the video - there is a link on our homepage to do this easily. It will be a great gift from our supporters to Mickie, Minnie, and Mortimer. ❤️❤️❤️
I really hope Mickey and Minnie are adopted together because of how closely bonded they are.
That poor sweet baby. God help these animals. ❤❤❤Thank you for all you do.
Such excellent work, Eldad. They looked so happy at the end. You are all true heroes HFP. Much love from the UK ❤
Eldad you have such patience and stay calm even when things don't go to plan. Well done on a triple rescue!! 🐶🐶😸
This rescue of three needy animals is why I support Hope For Paws each month. Thank you for doing all the heavy lifting for these cuties!
Eldad and Hope for Paws are angels rescuing angels. Much respect and love ❤❤❤❤.
Eldad, you and your angels are the greatest!!!!💝
I hope Mickey and Minnie can be adopted together. Ideally, all three, but I'm hopeful. :o)
Thank you so much for saving these adorable fur babies. You are teal HEROES.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you for rescuing all three babies. They needed it and the love they will all have soon. Have a great day
PROUD supporter of Hope For Paws. Eldad is going to animal Heaven one day!
It is amazing to see just how animals watch out for each other, I hope they get/got adopted together but part of me would have loved to see Mortimer be adopted with them too
Same here, so sweet. I can't help but think they were all abandoned by their horrible human since they are so tight.
The way you explain things is unmatched!
You are awesome with that gentle snare! Capture without traumatizing them.
THANK, THANK, THANK YOU for helping and saving these beautiful, innocent angels!!!❤❤❤❤❤ God bless you!!! You are wonderful, real PEOPLE!!!Be happy angels, you are so clever and kind!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Three rescues for the price of one! That was amazing! Keep going, Eldad! 😃
Great job, saving three innocent creatures. Mortimer looks beat up from his days on the street, as does Mickie. Hopefully they heal up fast and all get adopted at once! My monthly donation to Hope for Paws is so well spent!
AMAZING rescue of these three sweetie pies 😍🤩🥰🥰🥰 THANK YOU🙏🙏❣❣
Thank you for rescuing those beautiful animals. You guys are true heroes!
Oh my goodness God bless you for your patience rescuing these animals. ❤️🙏🙌
I so hope those two get adopted together 😊
These poor babies were all so terrified and poor Mickey's neck, he must have been in so much pain. What a great job Eldad did with this, all by himself. Everyone at HFP and all of your partners never cease to amaze me. I love that you brought Minnie over to be next to Mickey while he was being treated, that probably relieved so much of her stress. What sweet dogs they are, I really hope they are adopted together. I also really hope Mortimer finds a good home. I have a now formerly feral that I took in from my neighborhood and he is just the biggest baby.
Gosh you're good at this. ❤❤❤Thank you for everything.
I'm so glad you didn't have to use the snare on Mickey, given his particular injury.
Of course - that's the one thing I definitely didn't want to do because they pain would have been horrible. I planned this quite well, and I'm so happy I carried so much equipment on this long-distance rescue - I needed every piece of it. 🙂
@@hopeforpaws You really did need all the equipment, especially as you did the rescue on your own, but it was so worth schlepping it all with you. That's three more animals safely off the streets, and hopefully, they'll all find their forever homes very soon. יישר כח
Thank you for rescuing all three of those sweet babies. Their lives should be so much better from now on.
Bless their hearts!! So scared, hungry and that heat!! Thank you
Mickey & Minnie’s love for each other - beautiful
Thanks for all your love and care ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for all of them...but for the wounded one thanks so much ! I can't imagine his suffering😢
Thank you so much! Those dogs are so happy and obviously joined at the hip!
Какой же Вы добросердечный Человек Эльдад!😊
🇮🇪 very good sharing brilliant job helping the cats and dogs and saving them the work that hope for paws 🐾 do to saving the animals is amazing, and very good veterinary care work
It was some feat rescuing the 3 of them ,and was good of Dr merino to dash back to attend to mickeys surgery. They look amazing now.thankyou
I am so glad you managed to get all three the help they needed!
You guys are the absolute best 😸 🐶
Eldad, you are Awesome!! Rescuing 3 by yourself. Thank you for all that you do for all animals
Never stop what you do! Thank you from the whole of my Heart. X
You guys are beyond awesome
Just watched the end of the vid and I’m sad that Mortimer wasn’t kept together with his two besties. They seem bonded, would be nice if it was possible to be adopted together ❤
You're a good guy, Eldad!😊
God bless you Eldad. You did a great job working alone. I just want to say thankyou to all your supporters who make this happen. I am proud to be one of them. Donate please.!!! Every little bit helps.
Thank you, thank you 🙂
I really couldn't have done all this work without our supporters - our vet bills are so high! Tomorrow there is another full day of surgeries - dogs with broken bones, tumors, complex dentals, and more. We're already working on the next video - picking up speed here!
Merci infiniment pour ces 3 amours 🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖👏
I simply love your work! Thank you.
There's no telling how much longer Mickey could have lived with that injury. Thankfully HFP and Eldad were there to help those three sweeties. Thank you, Hope for Paws!! ♥♥♥
Moc a moc vám děkuji andělé. Jste skvělý . Jste andělé a děkuji moc za pomoc.
Eldad is a real maestro. One single man saved 3 angels of paw with absolute gentleness. God bless u and team of HFP❤❤❤
Thank you, thank you 😊🙏❤️
Oh my goodness, that poor dog! Thank you for saving him and his animal friends.
Yeaaaaa thank you Eldad!❤
I would love to adopt Mortimer ❤
What a trio! I’m impressed that you caught them all solo. I sincerely hope that Mickey and Minnie get adopted together. They really are bonded. Mortie deserves a wonderful family too. I hope he gets someone who can help him out of his shell and show him what love and care is all about.
I think all three are bonded in a big friendship. Would be wonderful, if they could find a home together!
Wow…. Super. You handled awesomely ♥️💝💖💗💘💞🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

You all are such patient angels. We are all so lucky you took on this challenge and have felt the donation is well worth it. ❤❤❤
Eldad. Her wee face when you looped her.....😢❤ The dog I mean
It was a second of realization that it was over! (she just didn't know yet that it's going to be all good moving forward) 🙂
When I see the rescues, I'm so glad I support you@@hopeforpaws. Look at them all now! ❤❤❤
Well done! Thank you for being such a great guy!
If they could get to Tennessee, I would take all 3! They need to stay together ❤️
Sounds like a really good excuse for a road trip.
@ItsJustLisa I have severe RA and couldn't do the drive. Are you volunteering to take me?❤️ Want them to stay together so badly.
@ItsJustLisa I have watched them and donate to them monthly. Absolutely love everything they do.
@@laniementz3970, my RA would make that hard. That, and I’m in Minnesota. But I’m married, so I have a driving partner to help by switching off.
It would be lovely if they could stay together and get pampered!
