PLEASE DO A PART 2, I LOVE THIS! Suggestions for part 2 Add a new terrestrial decomposer, like isopods. These terrestrial crustaceans could also serve as food for the crabs! (They might nibble the plants if they dont have access to decomposing matter) You could also add the freshwater isopod, asellus aquaticus! (Im not sure if these eat live plants when there are no other options like their terrestrial cousins.) My biggest reccomendation is to add daphnia, an algae eating microscopic crustacean that serves as a perfect food for fish! (Fish love these things, trust me.) Copepods could also work as a subsitute to daphnia, they'd probably eat the small protozoa you introduced with your leaves! (If you need any more in depth explanations just let me know, i will be happy to give more ideas!)
Absolutely brilliant conent! It is a very calming video and a lovely habitat you have created for your fish and crabs. Great paludarium build! Well done 👏 I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next 🙏👍
You inspired me so much I decided to build an entire island ecosystem when spring time comes I'm planning to build stuff like this when I get older tysm for the motivation and I will keep you posted on when I start building it
Our house backs up to a river in Delaware, USA. We’ve lived here nearly two decades with no use of herbicides or pesticides. We have a huge Catalpa tree in the back yard, so lots of access to leaves and twigs for the tank I’m planning. I’m leery of using the river water as it was once severely polluted by a paint plant. It’s supposed to be quite a bit cleaner and certainly supports all kinds of critters, but I think I’ll go a different route. Another giveaway on the water is advice from the county not to eat the fish! Wonderful video! Looking forward to more.
@@plantbox60 Also, that you can put these videos together with young kids around is extra impressive! I'm trying to create videos and it's always an interesting challenge with little ones around.
It can be challenging yeah lol challenging and rewarding. Most of the work is done early hours in the morning and through the day when I can but they will be with me Recording or on the PC 😂

No cables or anything for them to climb, the original plan was to have a Cork background but it would be an escape route
