I grew up during the sixties and seventies. Never needed drugs, I listened to Pink Floyd.😀
I am 69 now and still listen to their music.

But it did help, I'm 69 now too. I saw Floyd the first time in '75. They played Dark Side of the Moon and then finished the show off with most of Wish You Were Here before that album was released.

      I'm from the Netherlands.
Never had the chance to see them play.
There was a dutch band called the pink project. They were very good.
They played dark side of the moon and the wall, with the lightshow🙂

I am so happy to see you get into Pink Floyd. When I was young they were unquestionably my favorite group and I used to blast this Pulse performance obscenely loud often with tears in my eyes. They had a lot of songs packed with meaning, especially during the 1970's. Now much more "seasoned", my favorite group is BTS which likewise I am unafraid to blast and get emotional to. That you as a young person exploring music found both groups is both astonishing and commendable. You must have something special upstairs that I hope you continue to develop.

Dark side is amazing and you are going to do it perfectly, in one shot. Check out the album "Animals" as well. It's about 50 minutes full length and should be listened in one shot as well. The 2nd solo for those not keeping count was 4 minutes 26 seconds. Bit of Trivia: When the Division Bell Tour was touring (the PULSE DVD was filmed during this tour) there were three sets of the stage show. One was being set up for the next show at the next venue while the prior setup was being taken down and then the third was that night's performance. So the sets essentially leap-frogged through the tour venues.

I saw this same show in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap frogged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION…

Back then, Pink Floyd filled the Earls Court seven times within 14 days always with a day off to check the gigantic equipment and I saw this concert in 1994 in Cologne's soccer stadium, together with 75,000 fans.
With my 58 years now I have been to dozens of partly very big concert events but what I was able to experience in Cologne has beaten everything.
At that time a good friend of mine lived about 500m as the crow flies and could see the arena directly from his balcony.
He later told me that as the block of additions with: Wish you where here, Comfortably Numb and specifically Run like hell -th-cam.com/video/iro-IzZVsSw/w-d-xo.html - went out, the whole the stadium looked from the outside like the landing of the colorful glittering starship at the end from Spielberg's "Close Encounters of the Third Kind " because the light show could of course be seen from the outside through the distances between lower, middle and upper stand.
Until then, Genesis were the absolute specialists for composed light shows for me.
After 2 hours of watching with my jaw down, it was clear to me - there is probably no more or better.
And of course the overall experience of light and sound is inextricably linked.
In the preannouncement of the concert it was promised that, regardless of where one´s position in the stadium is, listen to at least stereo if not even quatro. They implemented this advertising promise in such a comprehensive and impressive way that I will never forget this bombastic sound experience together with this indescribable light show.
And to this day, when I hear this piece, especially during the guitar solo i get goose bumps all over my body and it leads me to another dimension ! EVERYTIME ❗️❗️❗️👍

The cool thing about Pink Floyd is it gains more and more depth as you age, so listen to it throughout your life. You’ll be amazed! If you can find some headphones, DO!!! The ear buds are way better than nothing, but headphones are even better! Listen to the different sounds in each ear. Their music will seriously change the way you listen to music and your LIFE! Welcome new Pink Floyd friend! 🥰

Great Reaction, enjoyed again. I can guarantee, we would watch you react to the full album of "Dark Side of The Moon", Side 1: is only 19 minutes, all 5 songs on Side 1 are actually just 1 long song with 5 parts, Side 2 is the same, one long song with 5 parts
The album has a natural break after side one, then you can do a 2nd video for Side 2, which is just 21 minutes.
PS: Comfortably Numb is actually from The Wall, but quite often the Prism logo ends up on all the Pink Floyd stuff.
Really enjoying your journey, and I'm good with helping guide you through, along with the rest of the crazy Pink Floyd family.

Man, I loved that reaction! But please, Please, PLEASE listen to the full, UNCUT version of same song, same concert. This version has OVER 1 minute CHOPPED OFF and it is ALL from the final GUITAR SOLO!! SOLUTION : Go to youtube.com, type in Comfortably Numb, Pulse, UNCUT. Do NOT go to uncut remastered, I found it had hiccups. Do the version that is 10 minutes 59 seconds long, and you will REALLY get your mind blown! And it pisses me off that 16M people have viewed the 9:52 version, and only 215k have viewed the Uncut version. I am trying to change that!
Now, I have seen reactions to sides of Pink Floyd's albums and they are still up. If you do albums, and that is really the only way to listen to PF, since most of their albums play as one long song, each side, try posting each side you do seperately, it should work. And if you do albums, you might want to go in order, I would suggest Obscured by Clouds (1972, soundtrack to the movie 'The Valley'), Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish you were here (1975), Animals (1977) and the Wall (1979). Then you might consider Meddle (1971) and Ummagumma (1969) and earlier stuff as well as stuff produced after the Wall. Again, loved seeing the new generation appreciating the music I grew up with.

This was a fun Tour. 😏 Honestly wasn't sure how the Roger Waters leaving would effect "Pink Floyd" touring ever again. 5 years later 🐖 flying pigs over my head at The Meadowlands in NJ. 🙄 MSG sold out quickly but a friend took me since his friend cancelled. 🙏🏾 God is good, no joke. Glad you are here for the ride. 😒 Some of us may seem a little tense but 🤷🏾‍♀️ seriously, 😂 we come in peace & mean no harm! 🌬🐰 #ENRGYZRBunny

Roger Waters wrote Comfortably Numb about the time he got a shot of a drug before a show.

Great stuff, one of the best guitar solos of all time. "High Hopes" from the same gig is also a must with Gilmour on the slide console steel (but the 2019 remaster/mix is better as it has more of him on it than the original 1994 gig): th-cam.com/video/LiyxHJw_oG0/w-d-xo.html

I totally agree with you about the movie. It wasn’t good in my opinion. The music is everything - the stage show is far superior!

I'm amazed no one gets the lyrics it's about a junkie on heroin just a little pin prick a needle feeling a little sick becoming comfortably numb please don't try heroin it's very addictive and will ruin your life but that's the song

    • @gibsongirl2100

Because it's not about a junkie on heroin. Stop making assumptions and do some research into the backstory of this song before making pronouncements.
