i noticed you sanded but there is still the semi rough/ matte finish look preserved after the paint is done. Im wondering if you sand the conosole would it give it a more reflective finish or does that depend what type of spray paint you use? the ps2 and ps1 have a finish that dissapers with any sanding into a more reflective glossy plastice so im wondering how did you preserve that and still took out the scrathces without sanding down the whole console to the shiny plastic? Genuinely very curiouse about this specefic detail because i would love to replicate the automotive edition ps2 wich have a reflective finish and also want to make ps2 that have the original matte/rough finish even after the spray paint layers. Hey man! Thanks for your words!! The sanding i do is a very light sand so but the rough finish is all about the paint… in this case the spray has a mate and rough finish… if you wanna a glossy finish the best is use a primary on the surface and then paint and after that clear coat… i use it now with car matterials and it is awsome!!
Nice job, I want to paint mine also but I have one question for you, how did you paint the controller ports? Did you just stick something in the connectors to prevent paint getting in?
