The reason fujin is so populated is because its filled with both fujins and 2.0 fujins. A ton of players that get to tekken king for the first time, get a huge boost in prowess. Opponents get much harder, abruptly so they get demoted to from tekken king to about fujin. A 170k prowess fujin and a 220k fujin are worlds apart in skill.

except most of the players from what ive been seeing as i climb dont have "knowledge" especially the hard stuck fujins. they got there through gimmicks and it isnt working anymore, when they fight ppl that should actually be in that rank and since they have no fundamentals they get steam rolled by them then one and done and they learn nothing. so many people as ive been passing through blue ranks have less than 40 defense and mash into the same plus frame moves every single time. they dont learn to just not press for a second and they wouldnt get blown up and its those players that plug the most too.
1% of ranked matches are actually playing "the match up". I can guarantee you practically no one below Tekken King is even applying the most fundamental basic match up knowledge in any online match.
I partially disagree, Kishin and Bushin >220k prowess are actually very solid opponents, I think when we talk about blue ranks the prowess needs to be specified, because is the biggest factor to deduct the actual level of the opponent!

NotQuiteFactual only counts highest ranked character you played during the time he collected replay data. this latest data was gathered over a time of 2 weeks. so all those gold/god players who were playing around on different characters other than their main during those two weeks, will inflate the blue ranks.

Also, T8 has less ranks for more population. It's normal that what used to represent a specific percentage, say 15%ish, has shifted up due to those reasons. But that's all ranks are, a representation of a percentage. The rank distribution follows the same curve that it did before, but with less ranks and more players.
The plateau line is set as well depending on the "arshness" of the system itself, the old tekkens had a way more brutal system for ranks and the result was a true and very steep pyramid!

I'm sure the Tekken team tracks all of this data, but we are pretty much just limited to collecting data from the leaderboards and replays which leaves a good margin for error.

Personally I love the game and I am glad a lot of people are mid-high ranks already, just means people are grinding it out and playing the game more. Which should be a good thing. Just my opinion😊
Honestly when I started the game, I struggled to get to red ranks. Now I am a kinshin and I don't think the ranking system is that bad. I remember I dropped tekken 7 because it was too tough. Tekken 8 made me want to get better every time I hit a roadblock and I still want to make it to god ranks.
Bro... Tekken 8 is HARD because it's formulaic and EASY. Every game is 5 or so seconds of neutral > someone gets launched, then they're a heat smash / rage art or throw away from death. The ease makes it hard to distinguish yourself because of all the 50/50's, homing, chip, cutscenes of losing 30-50% of your life etc.... These graphs aren't surprising, of course the lower and upper ranks would shrink when MY MOM can win with 3 buttons and only 1% of the gods have the ability to study all the frame date and retaliate... its a mashers paradise.
To calculate your true rank, you have to calculate every person that’s purchased the game, even if they’ve only played one or two matches online. They’re clearly not as good as people that are higher ranks. The last I heard is that the game has sold over 2 million copies so calculating a small percentage of people playing the game is not accurate on how good you are in comparing to everybody. I would say less than half of the people that purchased this game play it competitively, so if you’re mathematically in the top 20% based on people currently playing realistically you are in the top 10%. Because half the people playing it don’t take it serious.
Maybe the game analysis the number of characters per player and not just the players' highest rank. So, each player could count as 32/33/34... depending on if they have the DLC characters or not. And since every time we rank up with a character, the other characters also rank up (wich I'm totally against), that would explain the lack of Beginner ranks. And the reason why Fujin could be one of the most populated ranks is simply because that's where the "real" Tekken starts. The skill gap between Battle Ruler and Fujin is really noticeable, and that's where most players hit a brick wall and get stuck... I should know, I'm one of them.
Both system are taking only the highest rank as a measure. Having the general rank going up is healthier for the game, If I would start at beginner with every character I would feel like wasting one full session burning trough ranks and ruining other people's day!

Cheesers,spammers,meta pickers etc, either cannot progress enough to their liking or they start losing at some point and that feels frustrating for them, making them quit the game. With that being said, I don't think that ranked queues are completely filled with "pure" Tekken players right now, but they are surely on a better page than a couple of months ago. At least thats my opinion about it.

I got 4 accounts with my kazuya sitting in fujin on the leaderboards on those three and an account where I’m just chilling in ruler ranks that ones for experimenting, been in the hyperbolic time chamber bout to push forward

Sub characters are not counted in any system, NotQuiteFactual and TekkenStat.gg only take the highest rank of each player.
