Yeah I'm focusing on disassociating from the importance of rank and focusing on just improving. My anxiety is so great thinking about it that every time I get on I play differently. Bouncing back and forth from destroyer to Shinryu because of it.
Remember guys beeing hard stuck at destroyer is the same as beeing hard stuck at Tekkengod at the end of the day. there is no difference its just a rank that doesnt count and say anything. your worth while no one ever can take that away from you. just smash smash smaaash🔨
@@BullyFGC Rank does have meaning, because if you can't beat people who cheese you online I am not sure how you are going to win a tournament... Yes ranked doesn't matter if the number of hours you have in ranked is very low because you also have to grind in order for rank to be a good reflection of where you are at skill wise. But seriously King, requires little to no skill to get into Purple Ranks or even Blue Ranks just because of the insane buff to grabs which can counter hit now, and grabs are 12 frames generally speaking... So you are doing a full combo's damage off of a 12 frame counter hit, and king as too many safe mids to where it is easy to mix up the opponent. Even pro players think King is cheese from what I know... Yes there are good kings who can actually land combos and play the game for real, but that doesn't make king any less of a carry. And FYI I both tech/break throws and crush them with lows and I still think King is toxic in his current state. Doesn't force you to play an honest game at all
I'm not sure why they keep saying that almost every rank is inflated. I got Gigas to Ryujin back in T7 and now I got Jack to Tekken King in T8. I got to the top 8 in all the local offline tourneys I have been in and the one winning on those offline tourneys is consistently the guy who reached the top ranks online.
in my observation, it seems every rank under blue is inflated, and then you get to this choke point at fujin. once you get to blue, with a few exceptions dependent on character pick (king, alisa) most players have strong fundamentals and require much more effort to beat. within blue the difference between skill can be crazy, but for the most part it seems blue is made up of people who do traditionally "deserve" it.
i just started playing tekken played a little bit but it was tekken 5 so im basically back to 0. Even back then Lee Chaolan was my favorite and tbh i cant play other characters just him but i just cant get bored with his style and swagger though i know he has a reputation of being difficult, GL to me
@@BullyFGC imo rank just gives u a general idea of how good a player is. Like if we had 10 mighty rulers play 10 Fujins I’d expect the Fujins to come out on top.
lol I only play ranked so I can get to the same rank as my best friend he’s in raijin and I’m in fujin but he currently in the military rn so I had so much time to improve and learn the character and match’s up to the point we’re climbing is not hard at all it’s only difficult when people start playing like martions or got booty internet
If this your first Tekken game! and Tekken 8 has just been out for about 4 months now! and your God of Destruction! its telling me that either king is too op or the game mechanics is strongly against veteran players and cater to the casuals.. but nonetheless Congrats to you! please no offense..
King is not only a strong knowledge check character with his grabs that can take half life, but has crazy heat and very simple effective moves so you're not wrong.
You literally are 100% correct - King's skill level to compete with other players at a veteran level is extremely low... At top of the crop with players like Knee, King falls off a slight bit because his game is one note. Yoshimitsu is more broken than king at the highest levels because he has way more tools and mixups like Xiaoyu on steroids. But King forces 50/50's with moves that take little skill to input and chip half your hp. Even if you tech every giant swing you literally will lose much easier to him than any other character. He does not need Tekken skill or knowledge to be very good with. Sure skill helps, but literally they had a tournament with content creators including complete noobs, and one of the dudes playing king got to purple rank in 4 days and he has 0 knowledge of Tekken and was an eddy spammer in the past lol... There is something extremely wrong with this picture. That winrate is a joke.
Ranks dont mean shit, its all about matchup knowledge. Im at Tekken God, and I'll get mopped by a random Eddy, because Im not buying a capi just to lab him 😂
Remember guys. At the end of the day, your rank doesn’t say anything about you. Stop associating you with your rank. Just play and improve
How beautiful. Too bad it's not true though.

I meannnnn a yellow rank isn’t gonna win against a god of destruction so at the end of the day it does matter to a certain point
Yes improve dont worry about the rank as much your going to get the rank just by getting better 🔥
Rank has meaning unless ur a King main
Victor mains:
Rank don’t have that much meaning and ik you can’t tech a throw 😭

Fellow king brother. Started playing tekken from tekken 8 4 months ago. Managed to reach bushin recently. Super proud and lets see going strong..
same here i reached tekken god but i need a new controller now LMFAO
I was hardstuck revered ruler in 7 and im now raijin in 8 but i went back to see the ranks in 7 22nd dan there is still only red
Keep grinding and learn 🔥
Agreed in regards to winning in ranked. The more aggressive I am the more I win. If I'm trying to learn I hop in quick match (currently in blue ranks)
Yeah I’m glad I can clarify a lil bit more ❤️
Just reached Bushin
Rank literally means nothing i went from top 30% to top 60% in less than an hour and haven't made it back yet :(
It has meaning but not in terms of “someone is so much better than you” type meaning

What videos did you watch to learn tag 1?
Rn I’m just watching koreans like jdcr play at a high level to understand sequence like spacing timing etc
Just wait until they drop Lei, I’ll speed run through rank in a day.
You think lei is the next character?
Thats who I'm waiting on, I pray his in the dlc.

Damn rank inflation is already happening. I gotta stop focusing on rank and just focus on getting better
Yup focus on getting better your going to get the rank to better you get ❤️
I think you need at least 1 year of the game played before ranks really matter.
In my opinion ranks doesn’t mean shit cause even pro players mash buttons like a newbie

what you said from 6:00 - 6:15 is real... that's all ranked should be
First Tekken I hit Mighty Ruler🔥🔥🔥
Same here in t7 I was a warrior
Good stuff homie❤️
Good stuff to the both of y’all 🔥
I got flame ruler here and in tekken 7 I got genbu so I’m generally doing well, love you to all of you ❤💋
