Great review....love your show...Could you review the Earnest Sports B 1 launch monitor??? I think you might love this one...It is about the same price and you can use a I Pad to collect data....I find that most lauch monitors are some what off on club speed and carry distance...Thanks...
Great review. I would note that when you are in your session tab with all of the shots listed, you can swipe from right to left on the shot you want and it will show an option to delete or watch the video (instead of going into the satellite mode to see the video as you did). I have been using it inside my garage for the last month as golf courses are closed due to Covid in Ontario, so I'm looking forward to eventually trying it on the range outside.

Another very solid and in depth review. I don't know that I love the idea of having to use the phone, but the flip side is that method seems to be what allows all the data/video to be stored from the sessions.

Great videos. You had a device in one of your vids that you looked at after your drive the ball. You looked at it once you found your ball. The device told you how long your drive was. What was that.

I’m deciding between this and the Garmin g80. I watched both videos, which would you recommend?
Good review. I imagine it works as well as it can for the price point. It looks like there is android app for it now, so that's a plus. I had thought about upgrading from my SC200, but I hardly ever use that anymore. A new place opened up by me that has 4 trackman bays that you can rent for $35 an hour or $200 a month for an hour a day. I used that all winter this year. Even a trackman indoors isn't perfect though, I don't seem to hit the ball on the course with my irons as far as I do on the trackman simulator.

As for how the discrepancy of how far you were hitting it, could it be reading a shorter distance because you were hitting range balls and those don't go as far as your usual balls? Or could it be because the distance reading from the Rapsodo is the carry and not the total distance?

Good point, although I had the same issue (10 yards short) on our Clubs range that uses higher end Titleist practice balls.
Bought it when it was $100 off on Amazon during holidays. Seems decently accurate. Main issue I’ve had is that the phone gets too hot and was ready to shut down…really hard to use outside for a long amount of time if weather is nice
Same. I had a session out here in the middle of the afternoon in Florida and it only lasted about 25 shots before my phone overheated. In the morning when cool it was perfectly fine.

been looking at these for a while, and like boats the best thing is to have a buddy that has one. fortunately, a mate has just bought one so i will be trying it out soon! great review gabe, comprehensive as always!

Info and app seem really really good!!!! I was figuring yardages were gonna be alot closer during video but seemed way off!!!! Hoping to see if you figure it out..solid unit!!!!!
Yes, I'm hopeful I can get that part resolved. If so, it's a damn fine system.

Thanks, yes that’s actually coming very soon. Going to put four of these to the test all at once and show the strengths and weaknesses of each.
There are other videos with direct comparisons to the GC Quad... side by side and this thing is pretty dang close, close enough for most of us. The issues here are likely due to range balls and carry vs total as others have mentioned. Arccos is only going to know the total....
I wonder how this compares to the Flightscope Mevo. Thank you for the review of the Rapsodo.
My pleasure. Similar in many ways. Rapsodo has those nice shot traces, but also requires phone connection to get them.
There’s a video that shows it’s within 1 percent accuracy as gc quad. A 20,000 dollar monitor. From a respectable reviewer.
Awesome review. Looks amazing, but I will agree with you that it would be hard for me to separate from my phone for an entire range session haha

love to see you using Arccos - it is epic for gapping and analyzing your round. the rapsodo - not sure it's for me. tracer doesn't match the ball placement for your examples. also if the distance is off, why bother. i think I will continue with a range alone and also PGA Superstore where you have a real launch monitor.
Yes I just unlocked the virtual Caddie so I will be playing a few rounds with that and then doing another Arccos vid

Great review, since it’s 2023 and the new price from rapsodo is $300, I was curious what you think of it now, I have also been able to find a refurbished model for $175 too.

Another great review buddy , how did you find your swing speed with the Garmin G80?? Compared to trackman mine seems 3-4 mph slower ??
I find it to be pretty accurate most times. How has the distance been for you?
@@LetsPlayThru carry very good , roll out almost useless, I'm hitting a 8i into a green , hit it 160, missed the green , hit the rough and bounced 3 yds forward, Garmin says finished 175 ha

Is you were to choose between This and the SC 300i, which would you lean towards?
SC300i - For me I just found it to be a little bit more accurate even though the Rapsodo has the cool factor and a few extra features I love like shot tracer. I guess it just really comes down to what you value most.
Does this only work with a iPhone no android?

I had a few massive anomalies with mine ! One of my wedges went over 230 yards. Sometimes, I wonder if it finds it hard in certain lights (camera element)

I hit into a net in my backyard what do recommend this or swing caddie ?
I haven’t tried these with nets yet, but will try to this week. Swing Caddie seemed more accurate on range though.
Were you using range balls? Most range balls are flight limited by 10-20% I was told. So using your own ball and the Arccos sensors are giving you more accurate data than with the range balls. I’ve ordered one so I’m looking forward to trying it out
Gonna put you on the spot. Which is better, the Swing Caddie SC300i or this? And why? You can only pick one.
Swing Caddie for me. I found it to be a bit more accurate and the fact that I did not need my phone to use it is a plus. App on the Rapsodo is way better however.

Do you think your yardage is really off that much or is it more so that rhapsodo is displaying carry while your other app is displaying Total distance?
It was for me for sure. But I hear all sorts of stories about how it is good for others.
Thoughts vs the SC300i? I have the Rapsodo but have contemplated selling it for the new SC300i which I saw your video on that. I'm a high handicap golfer trying to work on my swing and get better, so I love that I can get the shot dispersion from the rapsodo, but also feel like it can be finicky with missing shots and all that.
Being basically the same price point, I am not sure what I would prefer. Thought the Rapsodo was the way to go with all the reviews I looked at before but second guessing myself after getting it and using it a handful of times.
You’re right on point. Rapsodo has the “cool” factor but I’ve found the Swing Caddie to be much more accurate and consistent

Nice review but Like you said my iPhone will get too hot in the heat and will shut down and you will lose the ability to use your phone when you’re hitting shots. No bueno. The self contained models from PRGR or sky caddie would be my go too.
Yes, that’s the sticking point for me. In a lot of climates it might not be a problem but here it definitely is
Mine does the same. On a sunny day it will shut down after 10 min due to heat.
Range balls. Probably the answer to the list yardage
We have an app we can use at the driving range for this you just put what bay you are in and put your phone on the stand and your connected ( uk ) and it’s free iOS app TrackMan range

If on the range a flag is 125 (using rangefinder), and I stick it 5 ft from the pin, but the Rapsodo says it went 106...something is terribly wrong. I've not used any other shot trackers, but would not recommend this one. It's worse on the 200 flag, which will tell me 165-175...

Anyone know why the MLM doesn't turn on the video on an iPad? The iPad fulfills all Rapsodo MLM Owner Manuel requirements. The iPad camera works fine.
It’s about 10-15 yards short for me sometimes.... 😑😭
I used the MLM for the first time today. I hit 105 balls but the monitor only recorded like 30……why..

I am surprised as well about your yardage differences. I’ve seen many reviews and none had that issue. You should probably reach out to Rapsodo to see what happened. Thanks for the review!
Yes I think it’s probably the case that I am the anomaly. Maybe it just doesn’t like my swing or the clubs I use, ha ha
Mine is exactly the same. The distance is way off, on all my sticks. This thing is not worth the money.
@@jdstarek very surprising again. I’ve tested mine against the Sc300, track man, and GC Quad and found it to be within a couple of yards. It was also within a degree of launch angle. Sorry it didn’t work for you.

I'd guess maybe it's due to range balls
this is a known more than accurate launch monitor so if that is a set back it has been tested multiple times you are also more than able to use an ipad if you want youre phone. Important note: it does not work with android!!!!!!
It’s almost worst to have data that is further off than 8 years and inconsistent then no data at all
Did you measure the shots, not just estimating? If not, you cannot say anything about accuracy
Range balls and every golfer thinks they hit it longer than they actually do

Trackers don’t lie... that means you hit less... drop your ego.
When I hit a flag with the rangefinder and land within 3 yards of it, and the unit tells me I hit it 15-20 yards less I think I’ll believe the rangefinder.
Your length would be less because you are using range balls.
