I remember the movie banging in little rock.. now I'm in NO WAY saying that little rock isn't tough.. but I grew up near Los Angeles and then later moved to the east coast, Philadelphia. Finally in my 40s moved to Arkansas.. and I'll tell you what.. the coast hoods are waaaayyyy harder than anything I've seen in lr. The folks in Arkansas, no matter what hood you are in, are flat out nicer. They just are. It is a lot more laid back here, even the hard core hoods, than it is in the east or west. Southern hospitality is a real thing.

Gary I was born & raised there & this is fact that's how it happened. Big on Little Rock. I don't care what your history books or yoor documentaries say we saw it all manifest live from the time they were recruiting their so called soldiers a lot of us who lived in thoses areas had meetings to see how we could defuse it the crack problem that came to Little Rock in our neighbourhoods, save that story to someone who want to believe what you think you know. I'm a part of that history.

We had cops in our schools well before these current days of mass shootings. Everyone had bars on their windows if they liked keeping their stuff.

We went back for xmas, i gotta admit I didn't know what to expect after seeing banging in Little Rock, lol, but it was nice. Arkansas is one of the prettiest states I've seen as far as the land, up there with Kentucky. I've noticed even in the obviously poor hoods of the south, people say they're dangerous but there's southern hospitality still. It's like a polar opposite of what I'm used to. Yall wave at strangers...i love the south, I've always felt welcomed and Im a yankee😂

I was born in Arkansas, Little Rock! It’s not that bad but it was boring... it’s only fun if you like hiking, canyons, fishing, or hunting. No DisneyLand no SeaWorld not even a beach. The weather is either REALLY hot, or REALLY cold, or raining, but it only snows at certain times. But I moved to the CA now. I only moved there because my dad had too. I spent most of my life there. Enjoy, people visiting!

That’s because for 1, this is the city, people don’t have a lot of land in the city and 2, you only saw people’s front yards. Nobody plants gardens in the front yard.

Julie Mitchell No, I wasn't kidding you or anyone else. Actually, Julie, I was being sarcastic, except for the part about the lush greenery. Just for the record, we're all slaves as per our birth certificates, Americans and Canadians, of the same global scum who have control of the earth, which by the way isn't flat. Jesus is not coming to save us. We are living in the end times, and we are down the crapper. 👋😊

Unfortunately, this area has a high rate of robberies and a huge drug problem. I know because my grandparents stay in this area and I visit every year. There are hardworking, good people in the community but at the same time there are a lot of no good people (crackheads, thieves, gangs) as well.

CharlieBo313 if you go to Toronto a good spot for interviews is the intersection of Queen Street East and Jarvis Street. There's some kind of homeless shelter there called "Fred Victor", either that or it's a methadone clinic. There's ALWAYS drug addicts/homeless people/drug dealers out there. I'm sure someone will interview. You will find people up the street at the intersection of Queen Street East and Sherbourne Street as well.
