I just love how that one spell setup got the melee community absolutely rabid, my main character is a Mage and I have not used this even once, it's not as overpowered as it's made out to be, against fast moving enemies it's mostly useless
Not only fast moving but hard shell enemies like crystal guys. Rock sling works better against those guys.
Not to mention there's no aiming the spell up or down at all, so even if locked on, if you aren't fighting on a flat surface the spell just whiffs.
I think this is op against some bosses, at best.
I agree. At the end, I went into Spellblade route... Mixing up here and there. My favourite is definitely the Adula Moonblade Spell. I fought one of the humanoid bosses using it and it is a lot of fun. Though I could probably edited the video better.
@@Asriel_Cypher I've been using the Adula Moonblade a lot, it does great damage while also using the 10 second no FP tear + Magic boost tear. It's way more fun than Comet laser imo
3:15 There is a site of grace right above this location on the other side of the rock called “Crystalline Woods” that is easily the closest.
Rocksling spell works well on the crystalline bosses if you are a mage without lvled up blunt weapons. It won't do much dmg to start. But once it breaks their poise then it will start taking out huge chunks of their health. Kill the Lancer first. Position yourself behind those torches so the caster can't hit you. It's easy to do at lower lvl this way. I used my wolves at +2
Rock Sling especially effective when you Lusat's Staff maxed, over 400 magic scaling.
It's so funny when you don't edit out when you're getting blasted by enemies, it's realistic and makes watching your helpful content so damn funny at the same time
Yes it’s old but you forgot to mention that you can get the helmet you’re wearing on the side where you got the staff. Look for a crystal crab. It’s really hidden.
At 10:07 , he passes by a ladder kick that makes this a tad easier to get to.
Evergaol is pronounced “everjail”. Gaol is how “jail” was mainly spelled in Britain before the 20th century.
Which makes sense because the evergaols are prisons.

i think it's a shame that there isn't a light FP regen in the game, considering stamina regens and that's the main "juice" used for melee attacks
their are starlight shards the slowly regen fp when used

Flasks are more than enough, from my experience the sites of grace are close enough we rarely run out of FP. I have 11 charges for my flasks.

Just a tip if not known, but after first time defeating the crystalian duo and going up the elevator the latter is hidden so strike the wall at the top of the stairs to reveal the latter.

Make sure the tear is in your physic, and your drinking it. The tear give inf fp for only 10 seconds, so you gotta be quick

Yes the comment azure is a pretty OP incantation but don't get too excited it's not as great as it seems. First of all you only have 10 seconds to take advantage of the unlimited FP once you have the Clarion hidden tear equipped to your flask. And then, yeah! you can blast forever but most enemies especially bosses aren't just going to stand there and let you do that. They will either move out of the way or just walk up and smack you since a lot of the larger enemies are not necessarily staggered by the beam.
You can use the knights stance ash of war that gives +80% damage on next attack but it doesnt go away on spells. So nukes.
You can use the Jellyfish Shield to boost your Comet by another 20%

Are there recommended levels for these or can you do this whenever? You do need to beat some bosses and/or enemies to access certain things so it would be a great help to know.
What’s mildly amusing to me is that as powerful as this is you’re still running it neutered until you get the Royal Knights Resolve, it pretty much skyrockets your DPS for seven seconds and you can hit around 102k on the low end
I wouldn't classify that as 'proper' though, since those ashes of war are clearly coding errors and wouldn't be part of the build if/when they get fixed

@@BrandonWestfall considering the amount of other coding errors like the Tree Sentinel Shield using no fp to infinitely shoot counter shots if you are debuffed, Deathbed armor ticking friendly characters for whatever your weapon is buffed with, several weapons not having any scaling off your stats; I'm pretty confident in saying that yes, it is a coding issue.
*similarly, you can use RKR on a weapon you don't meet Stat requirements for and get the buff _without consuming fp_ This doesn't inspire "intentional" per se.
Or maybe not. Maybe I'll eat crow when Fromsoft announces this is all intentional

Don’t get too used to the royal knight resolve. It’s probably a bug that would get patch out.
You can dodge this spell by walking sideways and once you're in the animation you're wide open to getting clapped. All it's good for is stagger locking in pve to one shot stuff.

Problem is Godfrey’s icon does not affect comet azure which this build is kind of based on so I’d say use carian filigreed crest so you can lower some of the fp you use when your flask runs out its good also because radagons icon makes you use more fp when you cast spells also lusats flint stone staff is better than azures glint stone staff ( im not hating just giving some tips for a future build)

I still think the Carian Regal Scepter is superior to the Azur Glintstone. Scales significantly better and the passive increased cast speed is quite literally negligible.

@@xenosayain1506 Azur's staff has 400 scaling at 73 intelligence. The extra Fp cost hurts though.

When going for Azurs staff you can use glintstone pebble to 1 or 2 shot those puppet guys on the roof.

Made a character on skyrim a week before I got elden ring...elden ring said nope to that shit
The best mage talismans to run with this is:
Graven mass talisman - raises spell damage by 8%
Godfrey Icon - raises charged spell damage by 15%
Winged sword talisman - increases all damage including spells by 10% while at full HP.
Magic Scorpion charm (easily missable) - increases spell damage by 12%. This is obtained by seluvia at Three sisters and is no longer obtainable after progressing through Ranni's Questline.
Running these talismans increases spell damage by 45%. Running this with a determination ash of war on a second weapon increases spell dmamage by 85% which makes comet azure shred through pretty much anything.
Together with the cerulean hidden tear I use the magic-shrouding cracked tear and terra magicus, that's almost a glitch abuse on low mobility or long animation Bosses

Not sure if it's in the works, but could you possibly post a video on how to get the different madness related incantations? I'm trying to do a madness build but none of the guides go into enough detail on exactly how to get to certain areas (I need easiest routes possible as I'm low level and really bad at this game lol). Keep up the fantastic work!!
It’s just one person copying another. He just happens to do it in a format that’s easier for you to follow.
Correct. I feel like @TagBackTV could just do a way better job, since all the other madness incantation videos only show the exact area where they are obtained ( like a 5 second shot of the map to show where to go and then video of the item being obtained in game, but not really the best ways to get there, especially if I've never been to that area). A more detailed walkthrough of those areas to help me avoid dangerous areas would just be extremely helpful but everything so far video wise regarding madness assumes you are already in those areas of the game and have better knowledge of said areas.

Love these top videos just wish more would focus on farm spots for smithing stone. I have found a few and where to get the bells but they are few and far between. No matter how awesome a weapon is a plus 2 is a wet noodle in the later areas lol

I think those evergaol's are pronounced like ever jail. At least that's how it was pronounced when they used it in Bloodborne's Hypogean Gaol.

Great video! I'm wondering if this has been patched since when I do this, it doesn't last but around 5 seconds then drains my FP.
I don't see anyone talking about this, but the only items on this run that were in my game when I did the same, were the academy key and the memory stone, there are very many missing or misplaced items, empty chests, and overall strangeness when it has come to following these guides for items.. another example in my game is the beast mask in the carion area (behind Seluvis' I'm pretty sure is where people got it)... I can only conjecture that it may be the route you take, quests or other dialog / npc / completion? Idk.. any input is appreciated.
Just went into a minor ruin boss room,and the boss never spawed and the chest was open,in mt gelmir,I 100% never went into that area before
@@nathanlehman5554 The exact same thing has happened to me, in some instances after running way under leveled to get an item for my build only to find It not only not in the chest in the guide I'm watching but possibly not available, I did things so out of order, again I think it's possible with From that depending on your progression it may alter things.. but just to be safe I hit and roll every wall that looks blank just to be sure, so much hidden! Thanks for the input, glad I'm not alone.

Lusat's staff better. Rock Sling is fast, have Radagon's Seal too. Rate of Fire is a winner - power and accuracy have their place but rapid onslaught is hard to withstand.

I’m trying to perfect my “magic samurai” build, where I can hit hard on melee but also use devastating spells
Mixed builds like that are usually not that powerful as you would imagine
@@Cyridi31 they can be but they rely on gimmicks. Or they utilize specific weapons that scale weird. I'm using a build with 75 intelligence, 13 DeX and 11 strength. That with the Soreseal puts me to 18, 16. I can use the moonlight sword which hits like a truck, I have the moonlight katana which still hits hard, and i have a small frost dagger that is technically a katana. That katana can parry and double stance with the moonlight katana. I also have 14 faith for Rot breath. I can kill most stuff easily by using my kits versatility and everything hits hard

Let me save you guys 12 minutes, the thing he does in the beggining is an upgrade for the physics flask, it makes spells cost nothing, lasts about 30 seconds. Google the location on the interactive map. Cheers!

Getting the golden scarab was such a pain but worth the exploring. The boss wasn't hard. The scarlet rot on the way to the boss was the real boss

Idk why you went for Azurs glintstone staff. All it does is reduce casting time.
Lusat's glintstone staff increases damage output of every sorcery. That one would be a much better choice for this build, if your intention is oneshotting bosses. Not to mention you forgot the talisman that enhances sorcery damage, and Azur's hat which enhances Azur spell damage (Comet Azur being one of them).
Where do u find the lusat staff? The azur hat? What talisman?

The staff is in town of sorcery in caelid, the hat is where you got the comet after you complete sellens quest line and the talisman is somewhere in rayalucaria

I've been doing this several times. Sometimes it works but a lot of the times it doesn't. I try it during boss fights and it keeps failing for some reason.
