As a Honda owner, that Accord and Civic is a win. I agree with Randy, they are VERY cheap to own. When it comes down to 4 cylinder Hondas, if you daily drive one and change the oil every 5k, do a trans drain and fill and radiator flush every 50k, I promise you would still be under $500 a year in preventative maintenance if you do the service yourself. Which if you think about it, its a steal. Servicing a Honda is very easy. Again I am a witness to this strategy. I own a 2007 Honda Fit along with a 2018 Lexus ES350. My Fit has almost 250k miles on it and it never put me down and still runs like it was brand new. Honda is true to their slogan "Honda Always Get You Home".
Speaking of Honda Fit, I wish the U.S. would allow import of newer cars from Japan. I saw Cheap(er) Honda Fits with low miles
@@geddon436 I hate the fact Honda discontinued the Fit back in '20. Slow sells back then but recently in the past year or so, Honda Fits been selling like Hot Cakes. The Toyota dealer I work at sold 5 of them within a 2 weeks (years ranging from 2011-2018) period a couple of months ago.
As long as the Honda Civic runs,drives and A/C works I am like you not worried about the hail damage.😊👍
After having bought a somewhat fancy new car, and as I get older, I realized that I really don't care about having something to show off. It's just so much money tied up in one easily devalued asset. As long as the size of the discount was meaningful, I'd much rather buy a hail damaged car. That would be so low stress to own. Getting a parking lot ding is just adding to the collection!
If I had the knowledge and funds, I'd want to open a dealership that sells exclusively hail damaged cars for people that just need something affordable and dependable to get them to work and back.
It is a lot nicer knowing that there isn't a bill to pay at the end of the month.

This walk around made me happy. Randy, showing the Civic and Accord was cool. I own the same Accord. It runs like a top. Even with the hail damage. Still worth the money.

The perks of that is; it runs and drives, still is clean and you can wash it and service it on the regular while you save up $1500-$2k for PDR in the near future. Thats what I did with my lil Honda Fit that I bought from auction 3 years ago.

Golden Accord and Subaru are great vehicles despite hail damage ! Subaru has off-road capability and with some decent off-road tires overall is a better machine because X-drive mode AWD is very good for winter or some outdoors activities & cool weekends outback adventures trail, fishing, moutain-bike, kayak..

Honda accord and civics flip very well since first time drivers or college kids will always need something reliable and cheap.
All the subarus I have had will idle high until they are up to temp once the get to operating temp they will idle normally its indicated on the instrument cluster with a blue water symbol

7:24 "Every car has a TPMS warning light". Does that, for anyone else, raise the question "is TPMS really worth having if it is always broken? What ever happened to walk around the car and, if a tire looks low, check it with a tire gauge? To me, it would seem to make more sense, repair-wise, to just drop the TPMS and sell each car with a tire gauge in the glovebox.
Gee, I wish Georgia was that easy on old salvage titles. Stuff like hail damage, I would care less about, but I’m sure here it would have to be perfect.

Hey Randy, just wanna let you know that I watched your call Patrick round that you posted. I have to love what you do man just keep the job coming in your TH-cam channel going. I think your decision on retail or not retail cars it’s better off just getting retail cars but if you’re in a hard crunch, it’s need of a year that you need a vehicle right away. He’ll damage cars from Cole Park or any leads other places that have used cars it doesn’t matter to me Anyhow. if it’s brand new or not, it doesn’t matter to me. I would drive either one. Hi Randy we have had 3 new gold Honda Accords since 1989. All great cars you should buy the gold Honda Accord. I have a v6 engine and what a difference. Much nicer.
The Honda's would be good purchases Maybe change out the hoods for better ones and drive them until there is nothing left. That should be a long time with proper maintenance. With the Malibu and the Subaru maybe change the hoods right away and take it for PDR a section at a time as money is available. Wonderful video as always. Thank you.

After bad hailstorm took out every car in every dealer (they’re all within 1/2 mile of each other) 2 daughters went and bought brand new hail damaged cars for 1/2 price, one a civic and one a Chevy. They were first starting out and the cars were far better than anything else they could afford.

Hail damage cars don't bother me I love the out back wagon I was going to ask if u could check out the blue charger but I noticed it was smashed on the driver's side un less u want to put it in your next video idk if the back end or passenger side smashed the driver side was good video
The only thing that I don't like about the newer Malibu is the CVT transmission and that most people don't maintain them at all. If the miles are low then probably ok other than just needing to change the fluid.

Replace your head bolts! Clean it all really good have the head resurfaced if its overheated before tourqe it down should be good!
