+Shawn Harris Not if he wasn't prepared (IE sleeping). For their strength DBZ characters has to be prepared with all the Ki going and shit. For example at one point a rock is thrown at one of the sayins (I don't remember what one) while he's sleeping and said Z warrior wakes up instantly feeling immense pain as if they were just a normal human. Also I remember one of the Z warriors (I think this was Goku) being told to quite lift the sort of stuff a professional weight lifted would without the use of Ki and he couldn't. So what I'm saying is that when the DBZ characters aren't using their Ki they are actually weaker then most humans.

Krillin threw a rock at Goku, thinking he was so powerful since Goku could maintain his Super Saiyan form almost indefinitely, that he could sense the rock coming and blast it into sand. And as you remembered correctly, that didn't happen - Goku just wondered what the hell Krillin was doing.
