    I got one just like this with the single graphics and 8 gigs of ram and I run Far Cry 4,Watch_Dogs,GTA V,and State of Decay on lowest graphics and they are all great

    I'm Here struggling with a laptop with A8 7200P. It's slow as shit on browsing but plays games well in my expectations (R5 M230). 500GB 5400RPM is slow when there's something in the disk activity is active

    Get yourself a "COOLER MASTER" laptop cooling pad, when the laptops stressed or just being LOUD, I find turning the fan on cools it off enough to chill the fan noise. The coolers fan itself is not loud at all. Love mine, one giant fan with blue led's pretty sweet!

    Man listen to that fan. Noisy with it just sitting there.

    For the longest time my dream laptop was a dell machine like this, except 15 inch and an fx 8800p I think because that was in 2016/17. Ironically now even budget laptops have much more power now because well amd woke up again.

    How is it when downloading software from internet?

    There seems to be quite a bit of disk activity in Task Manager. From my experience with Windows 10, Windows Update seems to cause a lot of CPU and disk usage which would explain why the fan is constantly on. Just something to look into.

      Windows Update has absolutely no regard for you or your priorities, and now, with Windows 10, you can't even choose when it checks for, downloads, or installs updates.

    • @patgrimson8443
      @patgrimson8443 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is why I have reverted back to Windows 7. Because I would like to control my operating system, not the other way around.

    • @patgrimson8443
      @patgrimson8443 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I still don't like the automatic updates because there is no option to disable them from the OS easily (I am sure there is a way you could do it). The fact that Microsoft is taking control away from the user and giving it to the operating system concerns me because this could be the start of a trend...

    Windows 10 is doing something in the background, the darker part under the CPU utilization chart is the OS overhead.
    Not a fan of AMD CPUs in laptops but there's no reason a laptop with a 15W TDP CPU should be this loud.
    And yeah, the GPU is decidedly low but it will be there sucking up power, come to think of it maybe that's another reason why it's getting so loud.
    Definitely not the kind of machine I'd get for myself but it should be a decent family computer for people who don't want a desktop.

    Guys if ur laptop is slow it’s because laptops come with tons of preinstalled junk that u don’t notice u should always fresh reset windows so nothing is installed and it’s soo much faster

    I'm done with AMD in laptops at least until ryzen comes out. I just bought an acer aspire E5-774G with an i5 7200U 8GB DDR4 ram (1 stick w/1 free slot) 256GB M.2 SSD with empty sata HDD bay (i added 1TB HDD ), Geforce 940MX All for about 600$ including the cost of the additional HDD. The build quality seems pretty cheap though I hope I can get at least 4 years out of it

    I have the same laptop 15 inches and I have been more than happy with how well it handles gaming for the price I paid. I'm surprised by the negative comments here. The only game it let me down on a little bit was Arkham Knight and that might partially be due to the game's own messy port and the fact that it has no support for dual graphics.

    Someone please tell me how 4GB or 16GB dedicated vram cards is underwhelming? I have a Nvidia GTX 950 2GB card in my gaming Desktop PC and I can run Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4 on ultra settings and they run very fast.

    • @Someone7089
      @Someone7089  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      There's more to a GPU than its VRAM quantity, just like there's more to a CPU than its frequency; things like core counts, other bus speeds, and especially bit interface with GPUs makes a huge difference. This is especially true if the VRAM isn't dedicated but instead shared with system RAM.
      I've found with a lot of AMD products that the specs woo you on paper, but are underwhelming in actual performance. They tend to cut corners on lesser known specs IMO.

    I got tired of slow AMD CPU's and their crappy GPU driver support after owning 2 AMD laptops as my main laptop. The first one died from GPU BGA failure, second one was a 1.9 quad core that was as slow as crap which I've sold for less than 1/3 of what I paid for it new.
    Then I bought a used Asus laptop with a i7-3630QM and the SSD that came out of my newest AMD laptop and it's already five years old and still screams. It even plays GTA V fine even though it's not a gamer laptop by any means.

    it cannot run games? thats impossible. i've seen reviews with older laptops in 2014 running csgo with an amd chip and r5 graphics. you must have antivirus or windows update running because your cpu is 50% at idle. there is definitely something running in the background. i don't believe this review. i'm sure it can run games another gamer said it can run league of legends no problems. something is wrong with your laptop. sorry to say but bad review

      FlyHighEnt. Yeah I just tried a game and the same laptop and noticed the second GPU wasn't being used. The integrated GPU is very minimal for energy saving reason and the second dedicated GPU is supposed to kick in when you need it. Wasn't working for me, hoping updates will fix the issue though.

    • @2pistolz
      @2pistolz 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      ok . i saw the other youtuber use the catalyst control center for the graphics. and he change the settings to maximum. the software should be on your laptop called amd graphics settings.

    • @demitreeful
      @demitreeful 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I have tried a couple setting changes to Crossfire but it isn't working. I don't quite understand the idea behind mixing a garbage APU Integrated graphics with a better but still not great dedicated GPU. Usually it's a matter of lowest denominator so the dedicated GPU will only be able to works as good as the weaker one anyways. If you have a link to a video or instructions to set this up I would appreciate it. I'll have a look around on youtube I guess. I am new to AMD software to set things up.

    My Dell 17" Inspiron is Chinese junk - like all new computers. The touch pad doesn't feel my finger half the time (been replaced twice), bought trackball to avoid shitty touch pad. The keyboard is flimsy, and certain keys stop working (been replaced once). The AC adapter socket is too loose (been replaced twice). AC adapter cord frayed near the laptop socket (not covered under warranty). The speakers were scratchy/static (been replaced once). Software and browser constantly freeze (motherboard replaced once). It gets very hot and occasionally shuts down with no warning. Battery life is extremely poor, 90 min. when new, higher capacity aftermarket batteries get tired last only 45 minutes. None of this is acceptable.
    Where is the Toyota of computer makers?

      Someone7089 hey have you notice if your battery only charges to 60%? I just got the same laptop and mine is doing that. I have gone through the battery settings and even changing the start/stop charging settings it always stops at 60%. Looking for a fix.

    • @demitreeful
      @demitreeful 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I guess I got a crap one. There seems to be a batch of bad ones from Newegg as the only other reviews (which was just 2) also had battery issues. I'm returning mine. For the price it wasn't very good. To many issues, smudge behind the screen, dual graphics doesn't seem to work very well and isn't using the 4GB of dedicated VRAM. Even separating the cards doesn't work well. It is fast, at least when new, in terms of loading programs and multi tasking.
