It was a TRIP to relive working on this one with you, I adore this game and it looks incredible with Sai's art! Seems like an incredible TGM overall, this video was great being able to sort-of-experience it alongside you :)
Thank you sooooo much, Jon!!! You've made the game so much better!! I'm so excited to cover Spring Cleaning and Peaks and Valleys sooooon!!!
Thoroughly love your sweatshirt! That’s my deck of choice and really takes me back in time.
Thanks a million Jim!! It was my favourite when playing solitaire for hours on the family pc!!
Congrats on all your success, Taylor! Can't wait to try your games and hear your thoughts on your haul! Found anything cool in Tokyo outside of TGM?
Cheeers, Jay!! Thanks so much!!
And thanks to you, I had some great breakfast! And I did TeamLabs and it was amazing!!
@@ClaudeAndTaylor You’re very welcome!! I’m so jealous of your breakfast and TeamLabs (but more for breakfast)! I’m so happy you got to experience them both! There should be more no shoe museums!
Taylor, a long but excellent video on your design process for O.W.L. and TGM share. It did take me two sittings but there’s so much to share it needs this kind of length to achieve it. I loved hearing about your “out of body” moments and just the fun things and great people you got to meet. Bring on 2024! Happy holidays too!!!!
Thanks sooooo much, Topaz!! It's always so nice to read your comments, cheers! And happy new year to you too!! Sorry for such a long video haha! But thanks again for watching it and I hope your 2024 is sensational and filled with games!! 😁😁🌠🌠
So cool! Congrats. Looks great. Now to find a copy :D
Thanks a million, Alex!!
the cards are very well designed! Thanks for the great view =)
Of course, thanks so much for the kind words!!
So happy for you Taylor. Thank you for talking about your experience at TGM and the nuances of those booth interactions, particularly having a retail mindset while juggling those personal exchanges. Appreciated it.
Cheeers, of course!! It was easiky one of the best experiences of my life so it was fun to ruminate on!!
Such a wonderful video! Thanks for sharing your emotions and experience! The GAME sounds really cool!!! The design is gorgeous! Definitely going to bring it to the table thank you for such an opportunity!
We are also big fans of tichu and ow the same deck can be used for such a clever game! Even with power cards
Thanks soooo much, Darkismile!!
It was quite the whirlwind!! And yesss, I'm so excited for people to play other games with the deck toooo!!
Thanks for signing my game and talking to my wife and I about dachshunds. It was great to meet you in person and get the signature "bye" wave.
Oh myyyyyy!!!! It was an absolute JOY TO CHAT!!! Thanks sooo much for saying hi and getting my game, Paul!! It means the world!!! Just sooo sooo special, cheeers!!
The Fanny and Alexander of TGM vlogs. Epic! 😼 The deck looks amazing and can't wait to have a chance to play. Well done!

I couldn't grasp the whole meaning of what you said in video, but congrats on your first TGM as exhibitor. And I'm sorry for my short explain of the exhibitor ticket. It can be used only one day :P
Oh thank you so much!!! So sorry, it was totally my fault hahaa!! You were the most help EVERRRRR!!!

Hahaa cheeers!! It's sooo many tt/climbing shedder!! Ahhhh
Thanks for taking the time to chat during such a busy convention, hopefully you had a great time in Japan after!
Thanks a million for stopping by the booth!!!! It means so much and it was wonderful chatting with you!!
This looks excellent! I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. Hopefullly, someone carries it here in England!
Hey Smoke Jaguar, cheeers!! Thanks so much for the kind words! And i think travel games uk might have a spare copy..? Maybe? But maybe not!
@@ClaudeAndTaylor Thanks! Its not on their site including as out of stock, so I remain optimistic that they have not listed it yet and I'm at the head of the queue.
I had a chance to play this game recently and it was really fascinating and enjoyable. I do have a few questions about the rules.
1. The rules say that when you play a joker, you should declare its value. In the video you showed in example of playing a joker as a 14 to beat the king. Can the next player play a joker as a 15?
2. If the play has a 3 card run, can I play a QKA (12,13,14) or even KAA (13,14,15)?
3. The dragon will beat a single Joker?
Thanks for your reply :)
Hey MultiPitah, thanks soooooo sooo much for playing!! It's so wonderful to hear!!
And great questions!
The wilds are 1-14 only, so once a single 14 is played that ends the trick(unless playing with the variant cards, explaines below).
2. So the Q, K, Joker is the highest run, as per above.
3. Awesome question, yeah the dragon is the strongest and beats any wild/the Pheonix.
I'm hoping to have more robust rules in future editions, especially thanks to your questions and comments!!
Thanks so much again!!
OWL and Short Zoot Suit sound fantastic. Are you based in Japan? Will you be at Tokyo Game Market later this month? I am going (coming from Taiwan) for the first time this year.
Cheeers, Kirk! I'm actually out of the US, and I'm sadly ginna miss this spring TGM,😭😭. Hope you dig it!!
This game looks so cool! Really want to try it. Is it going to be available in Europe (The Netherlands)? Maybe selling some copies at Spiel? 😁😁
Superb game, Taylor! Bravo! Upon watching your video and reading your most recent rule set, my initial impression was that I couldn't really see how simply adding the No Pass/Bonus option would make this design stand out from other climbing/shedding games. But upon a few sample hands - wow, just wow! This extremely innovative and clever rule really does accomplish that!
If you don't mind, I wanted to get your expert opinion on one question. Frequently my card-playing group consists of six extended family members. Do you have any thoughts/ideas on how "Of What's Left" might play with six if we added say two additional suits using a Badger Deck? Or possibly use the deck from the shedding game 'Bacon'? That game uses two copies of each of three suits ranked A-10 and adds 12 Jacks as Wild cards (two wilds dealt to each player, same as in Of What's Left)? Or would such a player count be unwieldy? We could always play test this for ourselves, but I would welcome your thoughts on this, figuring you might have done some play testing at such a player count yourself or had a reason for limiting the player count to three or four players.
Thanks a million, Steve!! That truly means sooo much to read!!
And i love that idea! Funnily enough, until last night, i hadn't played more than 4, but i played with a new deck that goes to 5 and 5 players worked so great!!
So, i say, try out 6 and let me know!! I'm excited to hear back and good luck!!
Yet another super video on your adventures in Japan. And you've got two games currently for sale?? I didn't realise that until seeing this one. I was so taken with Short Zoot Suit, I missed Owl.
So now the big question, what are your future plans for these two games. Have you any left and are you willing to bundle one of each together and send them to the UK?
I seriously want to purchase these two games, if for no other reason, just so I can admire the artwork, although they look like two pretty good games too.
Could we discuss how much you would charge me for these games?
Heyyy WK! Cheeers!! That's so very kind! I sent some to Travel Games Uk Ben, who should have a copy or two left! I'll tell him i sent you (Warriorking)! Cheeers!
Hello Taylor, I love O.W.L. already! 😍 It has everything I look for in a trick taker, the theme, the art, the gameplay, the unique scoring system, it even has a 4 pip index (it‘s impossible for me to fan the cards like most people do) 😅. Will you be making the game available for international buyers? If not, would you sell me a copy (take all my money)? Happy holidays! Sven from Germany
Hey Sven, thanks for the kind words!!! All the 4 index is a huge thing for me, since i have a friend who feels the same! I hope you get a chance to play soon! I'm hoping to make it much more available soon!
is there a link to the side channel in the description? i didnt see it but maybe im blind
great video and im glad you had a great time! i know i did :D
Cheeers, thanks Joseph!!
Oh it's in my 'About me' on TH-cam! I forgot to add it to the description sorry hahaa
any way to get of whats left and your new game in the USA? thanks
Hey Ken, thanks so much for the interest!! I think trickyimports. Com will have some copies soon, but other than that, there's some fun announcements coming sooon!! Cheeeers
How do we get a copy of this O.W.L. version?
Ahh so sorry this is sold out! But a reimplementation called Seers Catalog is coming out in August!
