    This is the best of a hundred reviews I've checked, GJ!

    Thank you! This is the best review of this mic that I have watched.

    HA! New camera angles, cool! Apart from this editing (icing on the cake) this was also a great walkthrough at an intense but easy to follow pace. I defo agree that this is such a good value but damn, you really need to know what you're after. That's why this is saved as an unofficial manual 😊Cheers!

      Thanks Mac, I‘m still stressed a little about the new setup, having used it the first time with the new angles, hopefully it did not come across in the video too much. :)

      @@PodcastMeister The angles are fine and an interesting addon to the storytelling. In my case I'm struggling to get the similar colour cast on all three cameras...the one filming my fretting hand is a bummer. Great Sony lens (18-105mm f4) but it's an older Sony A5100 and I need to choose the picture profile and tinker with settings prior to every livestream, it won't remember it as soon as I switch it off haha. But I'll be soon upgrading the camera park and it'll be solved..

    i have ordered this mic I can't wait for it but i have a question will be i able to use 32 bit float recording if using an audio interface? Or it is only available in usb?

    • @PodcastMeister
      @PodcastMeister  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! 32-bit-float is only available in USB mode.

    Great review, I think I will wait till they create hopefully next generation of this mic with headphone output and iOS / Android support for tablets/phones with usc c
    also there are some 32bit float usb audio interfaces with direct live monitoring which can allow your computer record AND playback in high resolutions so this could be better alternative at this moment untli Rode produce next generation of NT1 with 32 bit float and headphone output

    Thanks for the in dept review. How do you think it'll sound in a non-threated room? such as a regular room, with one bed and a desk.

    • @PodcastMeister
      @PodcastMeister  ปีที่แล้ว

      Try to close the curtains, and have as many pillows on the bed as possible. Then, be as close to the mic as possible - you will have some proximity effect but the room reflections will be way less noticable. Also, apply a high pass filter of about 60Hz. You should be fine.

    I purchased this mic for its C type connection
    But unfortunately my pc has only 3.5 mm jack for audio recording or input
    When i put C to A type usb connector and try to connect it by my pc through usb
    There is no device shown
    Should i need to buy interface for it ?

    Please tell me, did you work with the version of rode nt1-a? Do you think there are any differences other than frequency response and appearance? I mean, nt1-a has a sharper sound, that's right. But do you notice any difference in overall sound quality? Thank you!

    • @PodcastMeister
      @PodcastMeister  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, the specs are slightly different (SPL is 5db more, self noise is 1db less and the 5th Gen is 18g lighter) - none of which is really noticable. When comparing it to the NT1-A, you obviously can only compare the XLR output and there the frequency response is very different, the NT1-A makes my voice rather boomy, whereas the NT1 doesn‘t, but otherwise the sound quality is stellar with both. There‘s a comparison on Podcastage about the NT1 and the NT1-A, you can refer to that as - according to Rode - the 5th Gen is no different to the 4th Gen NT1 when used with XLR connection. th-cam.com/video/aZLwnVw_h00/w-d-xo.html

      @@PodcastMeister Do you think the equalizer can make the nt1 and nt1-a sound the same or similar if you work well with the frequencies? :)

    • @PodcastMeister
      @PodcastMeister  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sergeypopov8279 I think you can get pretty close, if you know what you are doing. :) It would be easier though to EQ the NT1 due to its generally flat response. But surely it could work the other way around too. They will never sound the same though.

    7:20 Wouldn't it be easier, and cheaper, to use Parallel Desktop if just for that use-case?
    That's $99 if you don't need to GPU support of their higher offering.
