- Our club in Singapore attempt to refight those chaotic, closing days of the battle of #shanghai and the defense of the Sihang Warehouse on the banks of the Suzhou Creek. In our 7500 point #warlordgames #boltactiongaming, nine players from our club #Fireteamelias, came together to reenact those awful days in Shagnhai, with five players representing the Imperial Japanese and Navy and with the other three players taking on the roles of Colonel Xia, Major Yang and Captain Zhibao as the Nationalist Chinese in a game that lasted six hours and went down to the wire with crucial decisions deciding the outome right at the death of our epic game. Watch the the end of Part one to see who eventually snatched victory. This video is the After Action Report of the battle whilst Part 2 will cover the background and terrain building for this game.
My mom was born in Shanghai French concession 1937! Great job guys!
@@c3aloha thank you 🙏🏼
Great Wargame and Battle report. Loved the Terrain and miniatures. Thank you all. God Bless.
@@grimdesaye6534 thank you for this. Sincerely appreciated 🙏🏼
@@lessonsfromthefront sure thing you guys do Great games:) 👍🏻
Thanks you for yet another most interesting 'Hist-Battlegame' lesson. Great effort by you and your team.
Thanks Shawn, appreciated 👍🏼
An amazing setup, look forward to hear where you get your Chinese figures!
@@msoong thank you and you're the second viewer to indicate an interest in the Chinese figures, so I'll make an effort to include some focus on how I created the Chinese. Thanks for watching. My next video will most likely be on the Ha-Go light tank, before I complete Part 2.
Make that three. Excellent batrep, very interesting. Been enjoying the Wargaming China channel as well 👍 looking forward to the info on scrtachbuilding the warehouse.@@lessonsfromthefront
@@talesfromshedhq5208 thank you and ok, will add a piece on the figures too. I'll be releasing a video on the Ha-Go first and then hopefully Part 2 will be done soon after that. Thanks for your support, cheers 🤙🏼
That’s an awesome looking table. I like to see BA being used for historical scenarios rather than the generic ‘competition’ style normally seen. I find the ‘Too Fat Lardies’ Pint Size Campaigns work really well with BA. Looking forward to P2.
@@samb2052 thank you for your encouragement 🙏🏼
@@samb2052 thinking back, just the set up of the table took me 4 hours, almost as long as the game itself 😂
Another wonderful batrep. I'm looking forward to part 2. Will you do a video going over the miniatures you used? There are always players looking for ways to convert miniatures into Chinese infantry. Cheers!
@@drblasphemy mmm, good idea, I wasn't planning too, but I guess I could try to show some of the conversion off too... Thanks for your awesome comment 🙏🏼
This is fantastic. So cool to see this run.

Great looking game. The table was very well done. I liked the "agenda and objective cards "
Good fun :)
@@TheGlp007 thank you
Part 2 will explain the special rules a bit better
quite a close game, considering how quickly the building could be scaled once entered why didn't the chinese put any units into ambush? could have won them the game.
as for the ending *Battotai intensifies*
@@matthiuskoenig3378 true, but I guess they were banking on evacuating squads into the British controlled concession across the river. Unfortunately for them, they miscalculated the distance and came up short. Had that squad crossed into British captivity, the Chinese would have snuck a win
