    Great Advice. Was in baja my limp home mode came on and changed my belt and ran great for 200 miles.

    Having same issue. Only had it for 2 months and when I go past 50mph it goes into limp mode which is very frustrating considering these are very $$ and over all practically new. Great video. Very helpful

    The belt issue is separate from the limp home mode.
    The only time you see that is if the ecm detects a misfire. Any time we see this issue it’s typically caused by either poor fuel octane, or driving the machine hard while it’s still cold.
    If you shut the machine off and let the gauge power down, the machine will come out of limp home mode.

      That’s strange because ever since I swapped the belt, the limp mode never came back.
      It happen to me twice with the same belt and once the dealer swapped it, it never came back.
      Interesting.

    My 2020 Can am Maverick X3 with 1300 miles and the oil light came on and she sputtered a little and went limp under like 15mph. ( Full with 91 Octane/seafoam ) I changed oil and air filter and it idled perfect. Then went up the road and the engine light came on and limped back. I am waiting for that clutch piece so I can change the belt. I do want to try this before taking it in. I hope she works !! Like the video and subscribed. I'll put my feedback on here once I change that belt.

    I just got a brand new can am x3 turbo rr not even 50 miles & it started doing this !!!

    I am having the same issue in my can am outlander but I did break the belt . I will replace it and hope that removes the limp home mode of my unit . Any suggestions?

    I had the same problem with my car...they changed the belt and updated ECU. Ran good for about 25 miles and then LIMP MODE again....with code P0302. Any suggestions?

      Really? You changed out the belt with a brand new belt? My car has not gone into limp mode after we replaced the belt. I have heard that some people had to re-flash their ECU on 2021 models. what year and model do you own?

      @@chrislopez7006 so my car went into limp mode the other day because an intake hose came loose. Double check the intake hoses.
      I’m sure you already changed the belt.
      On my buddies 2021 he had to reflash the ECU. Luckily it happened as soon as we were trying to load it into the trailer at the dealer.

    Anyone know why an x3 would overheat idling then cool back to normal when moving but overheats as soon as I slow to a stop. Road most the day like this just kept an eye on the temp. But at the end of the ride it pegged out went into limp mode started to smell coolant so tried to limp it back but suddenly smelled burnt oil so I shut it off pulled the dip stick and it was smoking with no ooo showing hardly on it. Developed a tick so towed back in neutral engine off. Now trying to figure out what might need fixed.

      Wow! I don’t know to be honest. Have you checked the coolant level and the oil level? Is your car eating oil?

      forgot about even asking in these comments about haha. ended up having to get a new motor put in. don't know exactly what happened to it but my guess was a and thermostat which caused it to get hot enough to melt the water pump which then just grenades the motor.@@sxs_krew9443

    I have a 2017 stage 5 on e85. Drove it to work running fine. On lunch break i got on it a little and it back fired. Ran fine after that. Then got off work and jus casually driving jus nothing 35mph and check engine. Shut it off for 15min looked it over and away i went with all power back and no check engine. Could mine be the plugs?

      That’s tough as you have a tune. Depending where you got the tune from they probably could read the logs and pin point the problem.

    Hey boss I have the same issue , I checked the oem belt and it seems fine, I can't see anything wrong with it , is there something I need to look for on the belt?

      Hey bro. Sorry for the delayed response. You know, my belt looked brand new. I swapped mine to the EVO belt and haven’t had a problem since. I doesn’t hurt to try to switch belts, if you don’t feel like switching belts, I would take in the car to the dealer and have them scan it.

      I'm currently dealing with exact same. I have 2020 1000RR. Was told belt, open cover and belt looks totally fine. My temp sensor was faulting though too. Fixed it and same problem. Going to swap belts. After reading these comments, I'm hopeful that's it.

    Tengo un ryker 2021, apenas lo compré el 2 de junio y las tres veces que lo he corrido a terminado en la garantía. Solo marca en el tablero Vss y limp Home mode.

    I had the problem "LIMP HOME" I have an X3 2019, I speak from Brazil. After taking the car to wash, returning from a trail, I started it in the garage and the warning appeared on the display.
    After reviewing everything, I saw that the negative pole of the battery was loose, so I pressed it tightly, and the message disappeared.
    I went for a trail the next day, I walked about 25km, all right ..
    Then I went to accelerate everything, on a straighter road, and LIMP HOME appeared on the display and cut the accelerator!
    I disconnected the battery, waited, connected and the message disappeared, then I went to accelerate again (+ - 50-60mhp) and cut the accelerator in half, showing a LIMP HOME message followed by another message "Check your engine" !!
    I came back from the track with a controlled speed, + - 15-20Mhp, and now I'm going to check every engine, whip, etc.

      @@sxs_krew9443 So, after tightening the poles of the battery, and walking + - 23km of trail, I went to do some accelerations (th-cam.com/video/uRfPFuQNaqY/w-d-xo.html), and it was in these accelerations that LIMP MODE appeared. again! So I walked the other 23Km back with LIMP Mode activated, walking at a slow speed between 20-40Km / hr ..
      Then I had the UTV washed, and in the garage I turned it on again and I was no longer giving LIMP HOME .. !!!
      So I called the mechanic, to do a general overhaul, and he found a thin hose that was loose, that hose was connected to the turbo sensor, maybe with a car wash it released!
      We did a test by speeding up the street and the LIMP home didn't come back.,. I hope that on the next track it won't show up again!

    Same thing with mine, clutch humming and everything. Replaced belt with a Trinity Racing Sandstorm Belt and its still stuck on limp mode, any suggestions?

      The humming is the clutch bearing. You might have to take it to the dealer and get the computer re-flashed.

      @@gustavoalvarez744 it’s not the condition of the belt. Trust me when I replaced my belt, it looked brand new. Just try it. Doesn’t hurt.
