Thanks for sharing. I've been up there several times. . Last time I was up there was in 1999 and the first time was around 1985, which was quite the adventure in a regular passenger rental car. At that time, the small station house was pretty rustic looking. Bare wood siding and a corragated metal roof. The stones at the top of the tunnel arch were still visible but not enough to see inside. I've also Hiked up and over like you did and hiked in from Hancock from the east side which was a nice easy walk. Glad I did it when I did because I'm 75 now and in no kind of condition to be doing this sort of thing any more. Al Hofer - Pawcatuck, CT
