Yeah this seems to be a balance between both that I actually enjoy from beginning to end. Plini is a little too far out there for me and Chron sometimes doesn't go hard enough. This is a VERY good middle ground.
What a good simile ... I mixed them in my mind and yes, that is more or less the result, of course without disqualifying the immense talent and creativity of Mr. Stevenson.
Lucky for us you've made this decision! I very often find instrumental music difficult and droll to listen to. Whether my brains too small or my attention span too short of whatever, it is what it is. But every now and then, something comes along that is just riveting, brilliant and beautiful, complex but not boring, tasty ear candy. This is just that! I love it!
Tides From Nebula, Explosions in the Sky, God is an Astronaut, Plini, Intervals, Sithu Aye, David Maxim Micic... Sorry for you bud but instrumental dope shit has been the in-thing for the past decade, now's the time to catch up :p
@@NessNT love these titles Plini is incredible, and the drums are amongst some of the most progressive next level material composed and performed. Much love.
The first song I ever heard from you was Perlucidus, when i first listened to it, god i swear half a day passed before i moved on to see what you were all about. I have played guitar for many years myself but i never once grew inspired to at least attempt creating my own stuff until i discovered instrumetal. My love for instrumetal started with Angel Vivaldi, only shortly after discovering you as a second interest it skyrocketed, ever since then you have well beyond exceeded my favoritism towards being a soul inspiration to how I want to sound myself, but ever since the day I discovered you two or three years ago, there was never a day your music wasn't played on my phone, computer, anything that could play music. From then all Ive considered you was my absolute favorite artist hands down. The way you create your music the entire soul and vibe through every song is nothing short of Inspiring and much more than inspiring itself. Every time i listen to one of your songs, i cant help but be overwhelmed with inspiration to pick up my guitar and play more and more, doing everything i can to learn one of the parts of your songs from your tab book, your style is one of a kind and its like I found the sound i want to go after myself. I should have found you sooner, but I am completely blessed I have found you. I am very proud of your decision to devote your time 100% and I will 100% devote my support to you even if the train goes down hill, im going down with it and im okay with that, but what you have done, what you do, there is absolutely no way this train is going down hill. You have my full blown support my friend. Thank you for everything you have done. For every cloud in the sky, each holds its own favorite song from the one who built it, you brother. Thank you so much, keep up the phenomenal work.
I’m gonna leave a comment for future me here. The year is 2021. Corona is still rampant and life’s complicated as ever. Hopefully in whatever year I read this things will be different.
I've lost several friends in the last few years. Suicides, drugs, illness... Life is short. Life is what you make it. You're born alone and just like it, you die alone. But you are never alone. When I die, I plan to rejoin with those I lost to the fates of time...
Ok, why did 3:22 make me cry? That's so majestic! From a fellow musician who hasn't quit their job. I love my job, but I would love to create music as well. Great work!
I will try to keep this short. I’m in school working towards a degree in the medical field that has the potential to change a lot of people’s lives. Not only has the pursuit of this dream led to stress, but the closer I am to completion (3 months) paralyzing fear has set in because of the capabilities I will soon be entrusted with. As I go back and fourth in my mind split between making the right decision or not I always end up feeling I have. When I found this song it has stabilized my anxiety and my soul let out a sigh of relief because this is exactly how I feel. Thank you for creating this and sharing your story in music that directly talks to people’s souls. I just bought your album on Bandcamp and this song in particular has become my theme until I have accomplished my dream. Fan for life.
Not to be a dream crusher but you sound like a good person so I'll share something important with you. The suicide rate is highest amongst medical Doctors. Why? Because eventually they realize they don't really heal people. They drug people. Which often times makes them even more sick and dependent on the billion dollar medical industry. Maybe one day you'll use your God given gift to heal.
@@karaa7595 they don't actually just drug people unless they foresee medication as an applicable treatment. Until you have worked a day in the medical field, don't just assume everything you read on the web is true.
I didn't know Quentin Tarantino was such a great drummer! Edit: Now talking seriously, I hit the like button just for your courage. I am on the same path. Let's give the world what we best deliver!
Just driving through the country with my pregnant wife jamming to this, your music is powerful and needs no lyrics to feel exactly what your playing, much love 🤘
I was listening to the intro (never heard these guys before) and I'm thinking to myself... "this is epic, only thing that can ruin it now is the vocals"... well, the vocals did not ruin it!
I Built The Sky I’ve always had a hard time with pure instrumental stuff cause half of it just sounds like a bunch of hacky dudes just trying to solo over each other but recently I’ve discovered you and here at the end. Phenomenal stuff! Truly touching
I don't know why this made my cry. I guess because im worried about the future. After reading the intro, I was happy but that went away a couple of seconds after because I thought about how my future was going to be. Part of me is scared that I will not make it because I realize I haven't done anything that shows im heading in the right direction, and my actions don't match my goals. Im 19 and i stress about this all day. However, seeing your video gave me some hope too. I would love to learn more about your path, and how you got to where you at now(doing what you love for a living)
It's hard brother. I'm 27 and do the same thing constantly, by all accounts I'm successful. But I don't do what I love, and it's agonizing at times. The world is a funny place, we're beholden to none but ourselves yet doing what's right for us is sometimes extremely difficult. I wish I had some sort of answer for you, but maybe knowing you aren't the only one is enough for now. You've got 8 years to do what you need to do before you end up where I am bud, good luck.
This band and song is bringing me back to life with a all of sudden hit of a severe mental illness 4 years ago my life was in danger and I have been fighting against my own mind and trapped in a prison of my own thoughts.Seeking medical and being put on Medication has helped soothe the pain somewhat but it doesn't change the illness and the states of psychosis I endured. Listening to music has been my aliby and a great source of therapy. Through this song I feel my ego and soul being lifted up again and can maybe finally escape the prison of my own mind. Thank you I built the Sky for doing so.
Found this gem only yesterday... This is the most emotional and perfect song I've every heard from any band... Also the video and message is powerful, I love every second of it.
Dude.. This is stuff of dreeaams! The locations, sound quality, film quality, creativity, the simple fact that your an Aussie. Simply simply terrific. Cheers from the Netherlands
I'm 32 and I have no clue how I could make something like this work and still have a roof over my head but this is such an inspiration! I absolutely love that you shared this moment with us and I wish you nothing but success! You got the chops! You can do it! I just gotta remember to tell myself what I'm about to tell you. Never give up!
As some one feeling like they are stuck in a rut. I appreciate the inspiring message at the start. Trying to find the heart and bravery to do what you did for your dreams.
This song saved me in some really tough moments I endured. Everytime i listen to it it gives the drive I need whatever is coming. Thank you for making this 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
There needs to be a music Festival called "ProgStock" where it's all the progressive Artists/Bands like yourselves and others such as, Plini, Covet, Intervals, Owane, Arch Echo, Sithu Aye, Nick Johnston, Polyphia, Angel Vivaldi, Animals as Leaders etc etc. I know there are more artists i haven't yet found too. An event like that would be a dream. Edit: I just googled it and there is already an event called something Progstock but it's not quite the same genre i had in mind haha
I found out about you from that first shred collab two years ago and listened to your two eps which are some of my favorite albums. Im stoked for the future of this band.

My two tips for making it as a musician:
1. Be a good musician.
2. Be a better person.
I wish you all the best!
I can not be a good musician because I dont play anything, I only listen but. I can be a better person..
LOL! You win. Back in the day, every musician I worked with (including myself) needed at least one of those two tips.

@@RollinRelyks australia is on the "lower" side of the world which means everything is upside down lol

Jack Mullersz😊😷🤐😐🤔🤨🙁😑😶🌀🤕
This is real music. Had me literally smiling the whole time how good it made me feel
I love it!
Between this, and Polyphia, instrumental is coming a long fucking way man. Makes me super excited for the future of both bands.
Instrumental music is the music not yet fucked up by vocalist.
For disclosure: I was a vocalist in a band. Not the worst one.
Much love.
So beautiful, and when it kicks in at 3:23 it just takes you to a level you didnt know existed. Wow.
I agree
This is timeless masterpiece. I feel the liberty through the soundwaves.
I could not said better than this honestly, I've been listening this song for years. Yet, you still managed to exactly put words on my feeling. Thanks
Thank you so much Henomn, really excited for whats to come and your support is a HUGE contribution to me. Cheers, Ro
Songs like this is why metal saves lives. Its helping me right now. These guys are sick and helps through tough times.

It's been a long time i haven't heard a song that beautifull.
MrThoss1 real talk bruh 😳
I’m gonna leave a comment for future me here. The year is 2021. Corona is still rampant and life’s complicated as ever. Hopefully in whatever year I read this things will be different.
That sh😝t cut deep...
I've lost several friends in the last few years. Suicides, drugs, illness... Life is short. Life is what you make it. You're born alone and just like it, you die alone. But you are never alone. When I die, I plan to rejoin with those I lost to the fates of time...
@@seanisao3812 You never die alone if you accept Jesus as your savior. Much love.

Truth is, the only way to succeed is to fail. Otherwise is just beginners luck.

Jesus every time I click on a new song it's insane, guy has more talent in one finger than my last seven ancestors.
This was one of those ‘do i click on this recommended song or watch the vid i was planning to watch next’. Thank god i made the right call :,)
Exactly the same here!
yeah same. lmao damn
Wow !! All the best with your future mate, and thanks for the support 💖
THAT IS FRICKIN AWESOME
Not to be a dream crusher but you sound like a good person so I'll share something important with you.
The suicide rate is highest amongst medical Doctors. Why? Because eventually they realize they don't really heal people. They drug people. Which often times makes them even more sick and dependent on the billion dollar medical industry. Maybe one day you'll use your God given gift to heal.
Kara A haha....
@@karaa7595 they don't actually just drug people unless they foresee medication as an applicable treatment. Until you have worked a day in the medical field, don't just assume everything you read on the web is true.
You guys are just... I have no words. 😭😭😭
Long live I built the sky!
It feels like you are telling people "I'm building the sky , watch me" ❤️🤘
It's 2024 and still listening to this 🔥❤️

Just driving through the country with my pregnant wife jamming to this, your music is powerful and needs no lyrics to feel exactly what your playing, much love 🤘
when I feel like I don't feel like doing anything, I listen to this song, and I start to feel better. It's like the cure for cancer. A hug from Chile
This song balanced my chakras and hit my g-spot.
I was listening to the intro (never heard these guys before) and I'm thinking to myself... "this is epic, only thing that can ruin it now is the vocals"... well, the vocals did not ruin it!
Listening to this song brought me peace. I'm sitting in the Er in Downey, CA. praying for my girlfriend as she deals with lots of pain.
Hey man! I hope your girl's okay now. :)
hope she is doing well...
prayers to you..

I liked the part when you started, until the end. I didn't like when it was over though.
Evan Sales great comment.
Who's still listening in 2019??
I Built The Sky I’ve always had a hard time with pure instrumental stuff cause half of it just sounds like a bunch of hacky dudes just trying to solo over each other but recently I’ve discovered you and here at the end. Phenomenal stuff! Truly touching
You’ve inspired me to play guitar and be a better musician
Just started
Красавцы 👍 Beautiful music and landscape
Listening in 2050 here. Just can’t seem to stop the repeat
@@IAmSaveRio thanks for the reply, really helps! 🙏I need to better myself, and take time more seriously.
Work hard and never give up my dude 🙏💪
This band and song is bringing me back to life with a all of sudden hit of a severe mental illness 4 years ago my life was in danger and I have been fighting against my own mind and trapped in a prison of my own thoughts.Seeking medical and being put on Medication has helped soothe the pain somewhat but it doesn't change the illness and the states of psychosis I endured. Listening to music has been my aliby and a great source of therapy. Through this song I feel my ego and soul being lifted up again and can maybe finally escape the prison of my own mind. Thank you I built the Sky for doing so.
Drummer is sick bro. Open handed playing and still ambidextrous with time keeping. Not many drummers can do that.
The drums are programmed though
John Holmes what’s open handed?
arms not crossed over each other.
David Hammond thank you...
time reaction that is out of this world
2020 gang where you at!
Just discovered it today!

Found this gem only yesterday... This is the most emotional and perfect song I've every heard from any band... Also the video and message is powerful, I love every second of it.
Listening for the first time now. Love the melody and the delay reverb.
Randomly found them listening to Polyphia, not disappointed at all.
Fucking the same dude, random youtube recommendation i do not regret pretty cool song!

Same for me as well. Went on spotify to find their old albums, which are amazing.
Same. That same random act introduced me to Vitalism. If you don't know them...you SHOULD.

fvckin' beautiful! i lost count of how many times i've played this the past few days. keep pushing!
I'm not an Instrumental music person, but these were the shortest 5 minutes of my life. I love this! Keep on keeping on guys
To create music so good that it gives people such a powerful emotional reaction just shows the raw talent these musicians have.
This proves life isn’t a dream. It’s reality.
How the actual f**k can anyone dislike this? It's f**king musical genius. I guess they're jealous they can't play dem chops.
The timing to get the sunset shot right at the climax of the song is impressive. Great video.
Bro they definitely took a couple takes lol

There needs to be a music Festival called "ProgStock" where it's all the progressive Artists/Bands like yourselves and others such as, Plini, Covet, Intervals, Owane, Arch Echo, Sithu Aye, Nick Johnston, Polyphia, Angel Vivaldi, Animals as Leaders etc etc. I know there are more artists i haven't yet found too. An event like that would be a dream.
Edit: I just googled it and there is already an event called something Progstock but it's not quite the same genre i had in mind haha
