I am currently 34. I have seen yuvraj singh first odi match and last odi. He is the man of heart, fighter on field. The only thing I miss about him that his final presentation is due to all indian.
As a MSD fan, I have a huuuuuugeeeeee respect for Yuvi paji as an individual and as a GREAT CRICKETER. I would say he's among the best left-handed batsmen India has ever produced. RESPECT!!

I am from Pakistan and I think Yuvraj singh was the best left handed batter india ever produced. When he was on his peak, he was simply an unstoppable run machine, sadly injuries ruined his career.

Dhoni is Stoic vs most people expect too much(emotionally) and then become disgruntled.
At the end of the day Dhoni took objective decisions which are often not popular or easy but are for the right cause.

Both of them deserve huge respect for their service to the nation. Yuvraj was unforunate due to cancer, given that it affected his physical strength at the very peak of his powers, he could have been a completely different player but India had to let go off him because he wasn't fitting in 2019 squad. If Dhoni gave him a picture regarding his consideration in 2019 WC squad , then that's a very honest and respectable thing to do rather than being lead on by some fake assurance.
Honestly, I like some people I work with because of their ethics, attitude etc, but I don't like to spend an evening or a Sunday with them because they enjoy entirely different things than I do. So, there's nothing wrong in not being great friends, for me it''s enough to meet those people with open heart and smiling face and hope they do well in their own ways. My friends are the ones with whom I have nothing to gain or loose and can just be with them without thinking about anything.

I have so much respect for Yuvraj. He was team player and always thought abt his country n team first. It is evident despite cancer ,he went on to play World cup and gave his 200%. When u value ur country more than ur life, it says something abt ur character. Yuvraj played with principles n character n rarely badmouth people who try to actually drag him down. So Proud of him. This has always been a problem for Dhoni. He had not played much of domestic cricket and whatever he played he played for state teams however all the other players of his time had played in under 16,19,and 23 and for India A too that's why all of them are good friends except Dhoni. Dhoni got his captaincy based on recommendation of Sachin. That's why you will see most players of his age group has always something to complain about him

Dhoni does not have friends from the team that he captained. And I don't think he wants to be too. It is not arrogance, but just the feeling of - 'we were in the team for a cause. We completed it. Now, move on.' Also, he's had to take some tough calls as a captain to remove a few ageing players from the team that definitely didn't go well with them. Some of them are still bitter about it, and go to the extent of saying that they didn't receive their due, they weren't given more games or proper farewells. MS was a solid team-man through and through and never put himself or his interests ahead of the team. As fans of that era, we love to see our heroes remain friends to this day, but it is what is. We don't often close remain friends with our colleagues from our previous workplaces, do we? I'm glad Yuvi had nice things to say about MS here. I hope there's a 20 or 25-year anniversary of the 2011 WC win, and the whole team get together and reminisce those days.

I am huge dhoni fan but whenever I see interviews of world cup 2011 players of his same age group (yuvraj singh , harbhajan singh , gautam gambhir , virendra sehwag , zaheer khan ) it seems like he didn't backed these players after world cup 2011 . He was very keen to form a differently new team after 2011.He didn't gave them enough chances
To be fair, all of them woefully lost form / got injured at critical stages. Zaheer khan bowling was like gold dust and in important series in england he got injured and was not the same after. Yuvraj you know the story but he did get chances. Bhajji bad form aging. Viru out of form and injuries ( was frustrating eng and aus test series he made no impact) . Gambhir same story. Something had to be done and youngsters were performing better.
Had any of them shown good form in domestic or IPL I think they would have been easily back.

Yuvraj used to smile a lot. Now that smile is missing. I hope he regains that. I think he really misses not playing cricket and being with the boys and couldn’t move on to retirement like msd. He’ll definitely enjoy coaching youngsters if he likes being with cricket all the time.
