Protestants need a verse here it is. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth, filled with the holy Spirit, 42 cried out in a loud voice and said, “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. 43 And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord[n] should come to me? 44 For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. 45 Blessed are you who believed[o] that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.”Luke 1:
Really true.Mother Mary ,pray for us your children on Earth during this Advert. Please convert the world to yr Son, Jesus Christ.Thankyou Keith for sharing about Jesus and his Dear Mother, lovely Queen of Heaven and Earth.♥️♥️♥️🙏🙏🙏
I am new to « Unpacking the Mass »… I think this is my third week… and this one is just Wow!!!!! I am returning to my Catholic faith after 5 years at an Evangelical church and God is revealing SO MUCH to me… 💝💝💝🙏🏼 This video confirms so many things I’ve been recently learning about. I am going to listen to this again 😃 Thank you Keith 👍🙏🏼
God bless you and your family Keith! I’ve been a cradle Catholic for 55 years…just over the last year started praying the rosary wholeheartedly and fervently and fell in love with Our Blessed Virgin Mary who drew me ever closer to the Most Sacred and Merciful Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The graces and blessings He has poured forth through her most loving add powerful intercession have been overflowing…there are no words to express the gratitude and love in my heart to Our Lord Jesus for giving us His Mother while He was still on the Cross. I’ve been reminding myself (and others) that His first miracle He performed at the gentle request of His Mother…just as any loving Son would. All Glory and Praise Be to God!🙌🙏❤️
Labor pains of Mary was also the crucifixion when she gave birth to us as her new children: "Woman, behold your son." To the disciple whom He loved (some say "disciples" because this is us, people who follow His commands are disciples whom He loves): Behold your mother. It is no coincidence that it is John who raises about these labor pains in his own writing which is Revelation.
Mother Mary is the Mother of God , Jesus is God and Man .We all should honour Mother Mary and thank her for HER YES to God to be the mother of our Real and True King of King , Jesus Christ.
To give birth to the (Catholic) Church, Mary saw all the killings, tortures and persecutions of the early Church martyrs. That should be more than painful for any mother.
Hector Molina explained this yesterday as a typology with Rachel who died during childbirth? Mary is the new Rachel? Mary did not experience delivery pain because she is sinless.
Mary also needed Jesus Christ her Earthly Son to bring her Salvation just as Jesus Christ has done to all those who believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ unto Salvation!❤️
@ She is of the Blood line of King David and had Sin just like you and me! All Humans need the Righteousness of Jesus Christ from all ages to stand before the Father!
@@EBeautiful-f9d She was sinless perpetual Virgin. Luther and Calvin, Zwinghli all agree and they were anti Catholic and Bible only Prots. Stay safe 🙏 Keep the faith 👊
Mary is the Daughter of the Father. Mary is the Mother of the Son. Mary is the Spouse of the Holy Spirit. Who could be Nearer to the Trinity, the One Almighty God than Mary?
I *think* the Hebrew word(s) translated "pain" in childbirth as the consequence of human sin is actually referring to the pain of the process of bearing and raising children, not just physical pain. It is similar to the word(s) used to describe the pain of manual labor that must be endured by Adam. I remember that from a Sunday school teaching on Genesis years ago. It would settle a lot of flying dust if this wording was the case.
Sorry for commenting so much; but I wonder if Mary taught Jesus as a little boy that He should always submit to the will of God, not His own will. God seems to have given Mary these kinds of incredible experiences so she could teach these principles she learned to her Son. It's so awe-inspiring.
She was the only creature purely devoted to God, it even just makes sense to me due to Christs fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah etc...that if He was obedient unto death His Mother would HAVE to be Mary, her Fiat, her absolute faith and obedience she was the perfect Mother to raise Jesus Christ. Just makes sense!
I believe that the blessed Virgin Mary is the Esther that was prophesied by Kim Clement.. The blessed Virgin Mary was hated by many, but when her time comes, people will love her and she will pour the blessings of oil from the left to the right and people will say: "It is well with my soul, it is well with my soul." Interesting. I heard this explanation from Catholic TH-camrs..
St. Joseph was from the royal bloodline of King David. I heard it read yesterday morning during Aguinaldo Mass here in the Philippines. It is amazing how it only occurred to me that St. Joseph was from the royal bloodline of King David. Why had I missed this when it was read many times in December Masses. But since Oct. 7th of last year for what happened in Israel, my ears and mind are acutely sensitive to Bible passages.. I'm trying to understand the relevance of what's unfolding in Israel in parallel to what's written and prophesied in the Bible. Oh St. Joseph, I had never been so attentive at all in listening to the Gospel of God. How did I ever miss knowing that you are from King David's royal bloodline.. How did this happen?
A Protestant response. The hypostatic union means that the person of Jesus cannot be divided into just a single one of his natures after the incarnation. It is erroneous to speak of Jesus' human nature in terms that would separate it from his divine nature. There was a time when Jesus was not united to a human nature, but there was never a time when Jesus' human nature was not united to his divine nature. Therefore, when Mary gave birth to Jesus, she did not give birth merely to the human nature of Jesus, but she gave birth to Jesus himself, the whole person. The whole person of Jesus is God and Mary gave birth to him, therefore Mary is the mother of God. Nevertheless, to call Mary the mother of God does NOT make her the mother of the Father or the mother of the Holy Spirit.
Not clear at what you are trying to prove, it seems to me that you are not accepting the Trinity? Protestants struggle with the fact that everything is possible with God, to a Protestant what you say would help you in your non acceptance of Mary the Mother of God. I can only say Protestants need to stop trying to stop convincing Catholics of your heresy, it aint going to happen why? because she makes a difference to our spiritual life. Catholics dont waste time trying to convince them of their error with Sola Scriptura. Try praying for understanding and stop worrying about Catholics
@@stephanie4949 it is not just Roman Catholic teaching. It is the teaching of the magisterial Protestant tradition as well. It should be believed by all Christians. It is founded in scripture. The most important take away on this is that it is a Christological point being made here. Specifically on the hypostatic union. It really is not primarily about Mary.
Sounds good to me, Paul. As you like to say “historic Protestants” agree with Catholicism on this. Many modern day Protestants don’t realize that. They could learn a thing or two by studying what the Reformers actually taught about this.
I'm not sure scripture requires that Mary was a virgin for the rest of her life. Scripture recalls Jesus's brothers and sisters, I don't think these passages nullify the virgin birth.
In that culture, the same word could be used for both siblings and cousins or other close kin and friends. If Jesus had siblings, according to the Jewish customs of that time, after Jesus died, she would have lived with one of His siblings. Instead, from the cross, Jesus entrusted His mother to his apostle John, who was not related to Jesus -- because she had no other children to take care of her.
The Bible records in greek what Jesus calls these "brothers and sisters". A word not used for immediate same parent family, syngeneusin. Mark 6:4But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin (syngeneusin) , and in his own house The same root word describing The Blessed Mother and Elizabeth's relationship. And, behold, thy cousin(syngenis) Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. Also in the Greek Old Testament in Numbers, the census of the assembly is divided by 1)Clans/cousins( syngeneías) 2)Fathers house (same parents) 3)By name of individual KJV Numbers 1:2 Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families(1)( LLX syngeneías) , by the house of thie fathers(2), with the number of their names(3), every male by their polls; So the word Mark uses for what Jesus calls these "brothers" is a word not used for immediate same parent family.
Lot and Abraham were not brothers but a nephew and uncle but it says brother in scripture.... many other languages use brother and sister for 1st cousins aswell. Mary had sisters who had kids who were his brothers and sisters as in 1st cousins. I think the problem comes in translations. It would so much simpler if we all spoke Latin or Greek and the Bible was in one language, then we wouldn't have these problems. Thank goodness for the catholic church and the cathehisim that way we all stay on the same page , that's if we read it of course
A Protestant response. Since Jesus is God, anything true of Him as a whole person can be attributed to God. Jesus died for us, therefore God died for us. Jesus was born of Mary, therefore God was born of Mary. As soon as we deny the title of Theotokos to Mary, we lose the ability to speak meaningfully of the Incarnation. That said, it is important to remember that the whole point of the title is Christological, and that this really isn't meant to be taken, as some have taken it, as some mystical elevation of Mary.
The rosary is not biblical It was invented by Catholics in monasteries to pass their time by chanting repeatedly the Angel Gabriel’s announcement of Mary s conception of Jesus by the Holy Spirit The rosary is not a prayer A prayer is a communication by a human to God usually seeking direction help or repentance. The prayer we say during the rosary is very much so biblical as we use the exact words from. The bible. Just as when you read psalms and use them as prayers. The word rosary is not in theBible. but it's just an instrument we use to pray the words from the Bible. It doesn't say to put a crucifix on the wall yet we have them as a reminder of our lords passion. Not everything is In the Bible yet is being used by people to worship our Lord.
When I prayed the rosary everyday, I couldn't stay away from confession. She just wouldn't let me. Thank you Blessed Mother.
