Keith, I am so glad that I found your videos on youtube. I'm and old fossil in my 80s, and I was brought up in the protestant realm. Since I discovered your channel, I have been able to figure out the Catholic Faith more fully. My parents were old Arky "hellfire and brimstone Bible thump[in' Baptists". And now that I have discovered your story, it gives me hope that maybe I can become a better, wiser person in the Lord. There is a small Catholic Church up here in Oracle Az., Saint Helen's, that I am trying to work up the courage to go talk to the Priest there,. Please pray for me. And also, please continue making these videos. You are a great teacher. And thanks again for your help. God Love Ya!
As a fellow Arizonan, I couldn’t help but comment. I sincerely hope you reach out. I did a small amount of research and was able to determine that Fr. Balaswamy Kommathoti (the Pastor) is quite busy. He is in charge of three parishes (Oracle, Mammoth and San Manuel). The secretary’s name is Tracy (according to the parish bulletin) and the RE Director is Maria. Call Tracy and see if the priest is available. If not consider asking for an appointment to meet with Maria who can help you sign up for RCIA classes or just meet with you and help answer questions. (I used to be very involved with helping the RE Director here at my parish in Tucson before Covid so I know how things kinda work… 🤗). Anyhow… Hope this helps. 🙏🏼❤️
@@andip.9808 What a grace. You have my prayers as well. And I hope you find the courage to go. There really i9s nothing to worry over. I am very new to Catholicism and am not yet confirmed. I just started RCIA (now OCIA) 4 weeks ago, and you Keith, have been a huge part of my conversion so far! You describe the Catholic Church so beautifully and make it much easier to understand. This channel is a godsend. I had so many preconceived notions about the church that were completely incorrect! I really feel for Shawn, a lot of us were so poorly catechized that we didnt understand what we were walking away from when we did. Also, the 80s and 90s were so damaging to be raised in the lukewarm banners and folk music church. Its different when you are raised Catholic - a lot is taken for granted and not explained.
Man I'm so glad you did a video on this because even though i enjoyed the podcast i felt as if Shawn wasn't content with the answer and neither was I. U recently came back to the faith a year ago. The Eucharist never gets old. Great video!
When a person believes he can decide what “truth” is in the Bible, he becomes Protestant. When a person realizes, with humility, that God’s truth inevitably requires submission to authority, he becomes Catholic.
Thank you, Keith. Hope this gets to Shawn. Both of you are awesome in your own way because both of you are humble men of God, even though Shawn is still searching... May God Bless you and your family 🙏✝️
Thank you Keith! I’m a big fan of yours and I just recently discovered Shawn Ryan’s show. I watched that interview with Fr Dan Rehil and it was awesome. I didn’t see the Megan Kelly interview but you have explained this very well Keith and I totally agree. If not we’d be like the many thousands of Protestant churches out there. That’s what makes us strong and we’ve been around for over 2000 years. The Catholic Church was the very first franchise ever. I love my priest and traditions of the church. I hope Shawn has you on his show soon. God bless you Keith 😊🙏🏻
Well said Keith, you brought up a lot of the same things I was thinking when I listened to that Shawn Ryan episode. I really hope he sees this and comes back home!
At the end of the interview with Fr Reehill, Fr invited Shawn to Mass and confession. I thought to myself, Shawn will revert back to Catholicism. It’s only a matter of time.
That was not a great answer, and could be taken very out of context and miss understood. I don’t think any other priest would word that answer in that way 🥴
His interview with Fr. Reehil was fascinating! A must watch! ✨ - Kieth, Bravo 👏🏻 on the explanation about confession. On a side note, I’m convinced The Warning is going to happen in the next seven years… it’s not far away.
Anyone who has been to Confession, full of guilt and confessed their sin and received the sacrament of reconciliation, will know for certain that it is a blessing from God and the weight of sin lifted from them is miraculous. Thanks be to God 🙏
I really enjoy Shawn’s interviews and I hope he sees your testimony and maybe he can bring you on. PS I attended a big Calvary Chapel for about 14 years and have come home to the Catholic Church.
This is amazing Keith. I think it could be of great service, now that you put up a video it will be in the algorithm when they look up Shawn hopefully they can find your video to get more clarity

I never really thought of that before, but now i think that is what has drawn me to him and makes me love him so much....not to mention what he has done while serving and protecting this country! Great message Keith!
Great video. This was a recent reading at Mass that I think is great for this topic too: "Every high priest is selected from among the people and is appointed to represent the people in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness. 3 This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people. 4 And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was." Hebrews 5:1-4

I thought I can’t be the only one who thought the priests answers weren’t really getting to the heart of Shawn’s questions, which was very disappointing for him and for anyone else hearing the answers for the first time. Keith, that was an inspired response. I have not heard the other podcast, though I've seen the thumbnail of it. I'm thus disappointed if Fr Reehil didn't answer him fully. The ENTIRE ROLE of the priest is to be that middleman. And the middleman is not an obstacle, but rather the human agency, the delegation, of Jesus' power - to forgive, baptise, feed the flock with the Eucharist, etc.

why would I go to a doctor when I can just use google to selfdiagnose ? Jesus Christ established a church, a community of believers for a reason, we aren't made to be isolated islands on our own, each our own pope, convinced we have the Holy Spirit and the other 5000 denominations are obviously misguided. these 'reasonable objections' are actually the spirit of pride and rebellion talking. look at the state of protestantism to see its fruits.
Well said, I was frustrated that that specific question of Shaun’s wasn’t answered more directly, but I love and deeply admire Fr. Reehill , so I just accepted it. Thank you for following through with the inspiration you had to answer this, because I think it will help many people. I often feel many people have an issue with Confession because of their pride and it can feel embarrassing, but I always think the amazing peace I feel afterwards far exceeds any embarrassment I might feel. Plus, if you have a personal relationship with Christ, then you shouldn’t be ashamed to ask him for forgiveness and make peace with him. Plus, God knows how human psychology works, he knows that when we are troubled, it always makes us feel better to speak your someone. Our words have power, when we speak our sins out loud and ask for forgiveness, it’s much more powerful than asking for forgiveness in our own head, home, etc. God works through his people, he doesn’t NEED us, but he uses us because he knows what we need, and to speak and hear the words out loud, You have been absolved of your sins, You are forgiven , go in 🕊️ Peace. That is much more powerful and real to us than just hoping we are forgiven. We are human, God created us, and he understands exactly what we need to be a success in our faith.
I've been praying for him, have caught several comments about our church that has disappointed me. I quit listening for awhile, but the talk with the priest was very promising.
