I painted both of your tutorials today: the Goldenrod and the Hollyhocks. I rarely get time to paint on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so I wanted to get a jump start toward Thursday. Excellent tutorials as always - and again, I learned so much and had a lot of fun doing it. Thank you, Kristin!
I am so glad I found your channel, and have subscribed! You explain everything so well! Flowers are my favorites to paint, so I can’t wait to try your lovely examples! Thanks so very much.
If the back end of your brush doesn't give you the nice veining that you want another trick is to use old gift cards that you cut up ( I make various sizes of triangle shapes) that will give you a nice sized piece to slightly score your paper. Works great for flowers and for leaves etc. Even wood grain is easy to do this way. Credit to Lindsay, the frugal crafter who taught me this trick!!
